Evolution mechanism and quantitative characterization of initial micro-cracks in marble under triaxial compression

The initial micro-cracks affect the evolution characteristics of macroscopic deformation and failure of rock but are often ignored in theoretical calculation,numerical simulation,and mechanical *** this study,we propose a quantitative analysis model to investigate the effects of initial micro-cracks on the evolution of marble deformation and *** relationship between the micro-crack propagation and the marble failure characteristics was comprehensively studied by combining theoretical analysis with a micro-computed tomography(micro-CT)scanning *** found that with the increase of confining pressure,the matrix elastic modulus of the marble first increased and then tended to be stable,while the micro-cracks increased *** sensitivity ranges of the marble sample matrix elastic modulus and micro-cracks to confining pressure were 0–30 MPa and 30–50 MPa,*** porosity and Poisson’s ratio decreased *** increasing proportion of internal micro-cracks led to an increase in the sample *** samples presented mainly shear failure under triaxial compression,and the failure angle decreased linearly with the increase of confining *** convergence direction of cracks decreased *** quantitative analysis model could accurately portray the relationship between the overall macroscopic deformation and the deviatoric stress of the samples at the compaction and the linear elastic stages,thus deepening the understanding of the stress–strain behavior of rocks.

This paper investigates the properties of silicon cells(sI) and perovskite solar cells(PsC) under bias condition by using impedance spectroscopy. The parallel resistances Rp of sI and PsC are found to decrease with increasing bias, but the capacitance Cp shows the opposite trend. Comparing Rp with Cp, bias has a greater impact on the Cp of both cells.

Effect of MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3) and Mg0-MgAl_(2)0_(4)-based refractories on refractory-steel interface reaction and cleanliness of pipeline steel

The interaction of MgO-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based and MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3)-based refractories with X70 molten steel was studied by immersion experiments at 1560℃.The effects of immersion time(30 and 60 min)on the contents of total oxygen(TO),Al,Nb,si,Mn,and Cr as well as the composition,number density,and size distribution of inclusions in the molten steel were *** influence of the penetration and erosion degree of the molten steel to the refractory on the steel-refractory interface layer was *** results show that,at 1560℃,the MgO-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based refractory can better control the contents of TO and the composition of molten steel compared with the MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3)-based *** TO content is only 16×10^(-4) wt.%in the molten steel after reacted with the Mg0-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based refractory at the end point of refining,4 accounting for 11.5%of that reacted with the MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3)-based refractory(139×10^(-4) wt.%).The number density of inclusions is only 14 mm^(-2),and the average size ofinclusions is only 1.31μm,with thelargest proportion of inclusions in 1-2μm(70%).The Al_(2)O_(3)-Mns-Cao complex inclusions in the original steel changed to complex inclusions dominated by Cr-Nb-Mn-s-O and ***_(2)O_(3),corresponding to the MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3)-based and MgO-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based refractories,*** ***_(2)O_(3) layer was formed at the reaction interface between MgO-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based refractory and molten steel,which is helpful to restrict the erosion of refractories and the pollution of molten *** damage mechanism of the MgO-Cr_(2)O_(3)-based refractory is mainly permeation and chemical reaction,while the damage of the MgO-MgAl_(2)O_(4)-based refractory is mainlyscouring erosion.

Investigation on the roles of equilibrium toroidal rotation during edge-localized mode mitigated by resonant magnetic perturbations

The effects of equilibrium toroidal rotation during edge-localized mode(ELM)mitigated by resonant magnetic perturbation(RMP)are studied with the experimental equilibria of the EAsT tokamak based on the four-field model in the BOUT++*** the two main parameters to determine the toroidal rotation profiles,the rotation shear and magnitudes were separately scanned to investigate their roles in the impact of RMPs on peeling-ballooning(P-B)*** one hand,the results show that strong toroidal rotation shear is favorable for the enhancement of the self-generated E×B shearing ratewith RMPs,leading to significant ELM mitigation with RMP in the stronger toroidal rotation shear *** the other hand,toroidal rotation magnitudes may affect ELM mitigation by changing the penetration of the RMPs,more precisely the resonant *** can lead to a reduction in the pedestal energy loss by enhancing the multimode coupling in the turbulence transport *** shielding effects on RMPs increase with the toroidal rotation magnitude,leading to the enhancement of the multimode coupling with RMPs to be significantly ***,the reduction in pedestal energy loss by RMPs decreased with the rotation *** brief,the results show that toroidal rotation plays a dual role in ELM mitigation with RMP by changing the shielding effects of plasma by rotation magnitude and affectingby rotation *** the high toroidal rotation region,toroidal rotation shear is usually strong and hence plays a dominant role in the influence of RMP on P-B modes,whereas in the low rotation region,toroidal rotation shear is weak and has negligible impact on P-B modes,and the rotation magnitude plays a dominant role in the influence of RMPs on the P-B modes by changing the field ***,the dual role of toroidal rotation leads to stronger ELM mitigation with RMP,which may be achieved both in the low toroidal rotation region and the relatively high rotation regi

The pollution of antibiotics in aquatic environments has received extensive ***,research on antibiotic contamination in river-lake systems,a significant form of modern aquatic environments,still needs to be *** study focuses on the Chaohu Basin(China)investigating the occurrence characteristics,influencing factors,and risk assessments of antibiotics in the river-lake *** total antibiotic concentrations in the water phase and sediment phase were 3.14–1887.49 ng/L and 0.92–1553.75 ng/g,*** was the predominant antibiotic in the water phase,whereas tetracycline prevailed in the sediment *** differences in concentration and structural composition of antibiotics between the tributaries(river system)and Chaohu Lake were observed,indicating the involvement of various geochemical processes in the attenuation of antibiotics during transport to the receiving *** analysis suggested that the western river is the primary source of antibiotics in Chaohu *** nutrient influx in heavily polluted areas is crucial to addressing the escalating issue of antibiotic pollution in the river-lake *** widespread occurrence of clindamycin in the waters is likely due to wastewater treatment plant discharges,and high-intensity human activities continue to exacerbate antibiotic *** assessment indicated that sulfamethoxazole,tetracycline,lincomycin,and clindamycin ranked in the top four with the highest risks to the most sensitive aquatic ***,the antibiotics presented no risk to consumer *** study provides valuable insights for controlling antibiotic pollution in riverlake systems.

This paper investigates the impedance spectroscopy of monocrystalline silicon solar cells(MssC) and dye-sensitized solar cells(DssC) using solar cell dynamic equivalent resistor-capacitance(RC) and capacitor sum capacitor(CsC) circuits. Firstly, these circuits effectively represent the dynamic behavior of MssC and DssC. secondly, the measurement method significantly impacts the accuracy of impedance measurements in the high-frequency region. Finally, the series resistance affects the distance between the left end of the impedance spectroscopy and the origin, while the parallel resistance influences the size of the impedance spectroscopy. In the CsC circuit, the relative magnitudes of dielectric relaxation capacitance and chemical capacitance affect the number and position of arc in the impedance spectroscopy. The value of the dielectric relaxation capacitor determines the number of impedance spectroscopy arcs. These conclusions provide guidelines for improving the accuracy of solar cell impedance measurements.
