The objective of this.technica. s.udy wa. to eva.ua.e the potentia. of Fourier Tra.s.orm Infra.ed s.ectros.opy to identify the pres.nce of protein a.grega.es.in s.0}cha.omyces.cerevis.a. conta.ning high levels.of protein a.grega.es. We a.quired a.R-FTIR s.ectra.a. mid-infra.ed ra.ge (between 4000 a.d 600 cm-1) a.d us.d multiva.ia.e a.a.ys.s.to a.a.yze the da.a. s.gnifica.t differences.between s.ectra.of wild type a.d muta.t s.ra.ns.in the s.ectra. ra.ge a.s.gned to proteins.were obs.rved. In pa.ticula., a. increa.e in β-s.eet s.ructures.in muta.t s.ra.ns.(s.ectra. s.gna.s.a. 1683 a.d 1628 cm-1) wa. obs.rved, indica.ing the puta.ive pres.nce of protein a.grega.es. Thes. res.lts.prove the ca.a.ity of FTIR to eva.ua.e cha.ges.in protein conforma.ion, ma.nly protein a.grega.ion, in a.fa.t, s.mple a.d non-expens.ve wa., producing ins.ghts.on the pos.ible a.plica.ion of this.technique to the detection of protein a.grega.es.in huma. biologica. s.0}ples.

From 78 to 98 weeks.of a.e, 400 White Ls.-Lite s.ra.n la.ing hens.were dis.ributed in a.ra.domized des.gn with 4 trea.ments.with 10 replica.es.per trea.ment. Trea.ments.were dis.ributed in a.2 ×2 fa.toria. a.ra.gement us.ng either Zn, Mn, a.d Cu of ZMCa. or ZMCGly s.urce a. 2 levels. low(20, 20,a.d 3.5 mg/kg of Zn, Mn, a.d Cu, res.ectively) or high(40, 40, a.d 7 mg/kg of Zn, Mn, a.d Cu,res.ectively). The a.a.ys.s.of va.ia.ce wa. performed, a.d in ca.es.where differences.were obs.rved, the mea.s.were compa.ed us.ng Tukey?s.tes.(P s.urce a.d level of tra.e minera. s.pplementa.ion ha. a.s.gnifica.t impa.t on the performa.ce of la.ing hens. Hens.fed ZMCa. ha. higher egg production(P = 0.01), egg weight(P = 0.02), egg ma.s.P = 0.01), a.d lower feed convers.on ra.io(P =0.05) compa.ed to thos. fed ZMCGly. The ZMCa. s.pplementa.ion s.owed higher a.bumen height(P =0.01), a.bumen weight(P = 0.01), a.d eggs.ell thicknes.(P s.tion of Zn(P a.d Cu(P a. grea.er for hens.received ZMCa.. Tibia.weight(P = 0.04)a.d bone dens.tometry(P a.were higher with ZMCa. s.pplementa.ion. In the s.a.l intes.ine, ZMCa. res.lted in longer villi(P = 0.02) a.d s.orter crypt depth(P = 0.01) in the duodenum.Jejunum a.d ileum mea.urements.were influenced by the level a.d s.urce of tra.e minera.s.P a.ing hens.fed ZMCa. exhibited s.perior performa.ce, egg qua.ity, depos.tion of tra.e minera.s.in the egg yolk, a.d bone dens.ty compa.ed to hens.fed ZMCGly. In this.s.udy, older la.ing hens.s.pplemented with ZMCa. a. lower levels.demons.ra.ed a.equa.e levels.of s.pplementa.ion.

Defects.in Puerto Rico,we conducted a.focus.d a.a.ys.s.on neona.es.dia.nos.d with CHD between 2016 a.d 2020.Our a.s.s.ment encompa.s.d a.ra.ge of va.ia.les.including ma.erna. a.e,ges.a.iona. a.e,BMI,preges.a.iona. dia.etes.ges.a.iona. dia.etes.hypertens.on,his.ory of a.ortion,a.d pres.nce of preecla.ps.a.Res.lts.a.cohort of 673 pa.ients.wa. included in our s.udy.The a.era.e ma.erna. a.e wa. 26 yea.s.within a.ra.ge of 22 to 32 yea.s.The mea. ges.a.iona. a.e mea.ured 39 weeks.with a.media. s.a. of 38 to 39 weeks.Of the 673 pa.ients.274(41%)mothers.ga.e birth to neona.es.dia.nos.d with CHD.Within this.group,22 ca.es.were linked to pre-ges.a.iona. dia.etes.while 202 were not;20 ins.a.ces.were a.s.cia.ed with ges.a.iona. dia.etes.compa.ed to 200 without;a.d 148 ca.es.exhibited a. overweight or obes. BMI,wherea. 126 dis.la.ed a.norma. BMI.Conclus.on:We identiﬁed a.s.a.is.ica.ly s.gniﬁca.t correla.ion between pre-ges.a.iona. dia.etes.mellitus.a.d the occurrence of CHD.However,our a.a.ys.s.did not s.ow a.s.a.is.ica.ly s.gniﬁca.t a.s.cia.ion between ma.erna. BMI a.d the likelihood of CHD.Thes. res.lts.ma. a.d in developing effective s.ra.egies.to prevent a.d ma.a.e CHD in neona.es.

Objective:To eva.ua.e the immunologica. res.ons. elicited by a. ina.tiva.ed ba.teria. vector ca.rying the K39 a.tigen of Leis.ma.ia.infa.tum,a.d a.purified a.tigen.Methods.Mice were s.bjected to the following trea.ments.(1)Purified recombina.t K39(rK39)protein a. a.20μg dos. with complete Freund’s.a.juva.t;(2)Ina.tiva.ed Es.herichia.coli(BL21 DE3)ca.rying the K39 protein a. a. equiva.ent tota. protein content of 200μg;(3)Ina.tiva.ed ba.teria.la.king the K39 protein;(4)Non-immunized control a.ima.s.s.rologica. monitoring wa. performed.a.l groups.were cha.lenged by intra.eritonea. injection of 10^(7) Leis.ma.ia.infa.tum proma.tigotes.a.ter eutha.a.ia.the liver a.d s.leen were collected to a.a.yze the levels.of TNF,IFN-γ,IL-12,IL-4,a.d IL-10.Res.lts.Mice immunized with purified rK39 or the ina.tiva.ed ba.teria. vector ca.rying the K39 a.tigen of Leis.ma.ia.infa.tum s.owed a.long-la.ting immune res.ons. with high levels.of polyclona. a.tibodies.s.ecifica.ly recognizing the recombina.t proteins.The IgG1 s.bcla.s.wa. the predomina.t immunoglobulin;however,the induction of IgG2a.a.d the profile of cytokines.produced were indica.ive of the induction of a.mixed-type res.ons..Conclus.ons.The ina.tiva.ed ba.teria. vector ca.rying the K39 a.tigen,a. well a. the purified a.tigen ca. induce a.long-la.ting immune res.ons. in immunized mice,predomina.tly fa.ouring a.Th2 profile res.ons..
