In this paper,a photonic crystal ring resonator based bio sensor is designed to sense different blood constituents in blood in the wavelength range of 1530nm-1615nm for biomedical *** blood constituents such as hemoglobin white blood cell,red blood cell,blood sugar, blood urea,albumin,serum bilirubin direct,and ammonia are sensed for the corresponding transmission output power,Q factor,and refractive index *** the blood constituent has unique,refractive index,the resonant wavelength and output power are varied from one to another, which are used to identify the blood constituents.

Dear Editor,Gastric cancer represents a remarkable disease burden worldwide,ranking among the first five tumor types in incidence and mortality[1].Germline DNA variation has been extensively investigated in terms of predisposition to sporadic gastric cancer,which represents more than 90%of all cases[2].Currently available evidence shows that the fraction of disease burden that can be attributable to known risk polymorphisms is small(<20%)[2].Single germline variations of circadian genes(also called clock genes)have been associated with the predisposition of different tumor types[3].The circadian clock is a timetracking rhythmic biological system with a periodicity of about 24 hours that enables organisms to anticipate environmental changes and allow them to modify their behavior and physiological functions in the most efficient *** rhythms are controlled by proteins encoded by circadian genes,which have been discovered in all studied ***,the disruption of these rhythms has been linked with risk of different diseases including *** regards to the latter,a growing wealth of evidence supports the potential tumor suppressor role of the biological clock[3,4].

Effect of multilayer CrN/CrAlN coating on the corrosion and contact resistance behavior of 316L SS bipolar plate for high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell

Stainless steels have received wide attention as a substitute material for bipolar plates in high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell(HT-PEMFC).In the present work,the CrN,CrAlN and multilayer CrN/CrAlN coatings were deposited on 316 L SS to increase the corrosion resistance and decrease the interfacial contact *** deposited coatings exhibited face centered cubic phase structure and it was verified from the X-ray diffraction pattern.X-ray photo electron spectroscopy results showed the formation of both CrN and CrAlN layers on 316 L ***/CrAlN coating is more helpful in water management due to low surface roughness and high contact angle in the HT-PEMFC *** corrosion resistance behavior of all the samples were studied in 85%H_(3)PO_(4)solution at 140℃purged with H_(2)(HT-PEMFC anode)and O_(2)(HT-PEMFC cathode)*** results showed that all the coatings considerably improved the performance of 316 L SS and superior corrosion resistance was observed for CrN/CrAlN multilayer coating,whose protective efficiency was 98.12%and 96.14%in the two simulated HT-PEMFC *** results of electrochemical impedance spectroscopic studies demonstrated higher impedance for CrN/CrAlN *** morphological studies performed after corrosion studies revealed that protection ability of CrN/CrAlN coating still remained acceptable.A very low interfacial contact resistance value of 6 mΩ cm^(2) at 140 N/cm;was observed for CrN/CrAlN ***,after corrosion studies,the interfacial contact resistance value of CrN/CrAlN coated 316 L was much lower than that of CrN and CrAlN coatings due to the increased oxidation *** maximum power density of about 0.93 W/cm^(2) at 2 A/cm^(2) and output voltage of 0.96 V was observed for CrN/CrAlN coating.

Background:Stargardt disease 1(STGD1;MIM 248200)is a monogenic form of autosomal recessive genetic disease caused by mutation in *** gene has a major role in hydrolyzing N-retinylidene-phosphatidylethanolamine to all-trans-retinal and *** purpose of this study is to identify the frequency of putative disease-causing mutations associated with Stargardt disease in a South Indian ***:A total of 28 clinically diagnosed Stargardt-like phenotype patients were recruited from south *** examination of all patients was carefully carried out by a retina specialist based on the stages of fundus imaging and ERG *** analysis of ABCA4 was performed for all patients using Sanger sequencing and clinical exome ***:This study identified disease-causing mutations in ABCA4 in 75%(21/28)of patients,7%(2/28)exhibited benign variants and 18%(5/28)were negative for the disease-causing ***:This is the first study describing the genetic association of ABCA4 disease-causing mutation in South Indian Stargardt 1 patients(STGD1).Our findings highlighted the presence of two novel missense mutations and an(in/del,single base pair deletion&splice variant)in ***,genetic heterogeneity in ABCA4 mutants requires a larger sample size to establish a true correlation with clinical phenotype.

Diabetics is one of the world’s most common diseases which are caused by continued high levels of blood *** risk of diabetics can be lowered if the diabetic is found at the early *** recent days,several machine learning models were developed to predict the diabetic presence at an early *** this paper,we propose an embedded-based machine learning model that combines the split-vote method and instance duplication to leverage an imbalanced dataset called PIMA Indian to increase the prediction of *** proposed method uses both the concept of over-sampling and under-sampling along with model weighting to increase the performance of *** measures such as Accuracy,Precision,Recall,and F1-Score are used to evaluate the *** results we obtained using K-Nearest Neighbor(kNN),Naïve Bayes(NB),Support Vector Machines(SVM),Random Forest(RF),Logistic Regression(LR),and Decision Trees(DT)were 89.32%,91.44%,95.78%,89.3%,81.76%,and 80.38%*** SVM model is more efficient than other models which are 21.38%more than exiting machine learning-based works.

Objective:To screen the antimicrobial potential of three ethnomedicinal plants Chassalia curviflora Thw.(***),Cyclea peltata Hook.F.& Thomson(***) and Euphorbia hirta L(***) used in folk medicines in Aarukani hills Kani tribe,Tamil Nadu,India against human bacterial ***:Antibacterial efficacy was performed by disc diffusion method against the pathogens viz.,Escherichia coli(***)(ATCC 35218),Staphylococcus aureus (***)(ATCC 6538),Salmonella typhi(***)(MTCC 733),Proteus vulgaris(***), Proteus mirabilis(***) and Streptococcus pyogenes(***) and incubated for 24 h at 37°***:The maximum degree of antibacterial activity was observed in *** followed by *** *** showed comparatively low degree of antibacterial *** methanolic extract of *** showed the antibacterial activity against three pathogens viz.,***,*** and *** with the inhibition zones 12 mm,10 mm and 9 mm,respectively,hexane extracts of *** also showed the antibacterial activity against two selected pathogens viz.,*** and *** with 15 mm and 12 mm of inhibition *** the three different concentrations(025,0.50 & 0.75 mg/mL) of methanolic extract of C. peltata show the inhibitory effect on the three susceptible bacteria ***,*** and E. coli with the maximum inhibition in the highest concentration(0.75 mg/mL).The methanolic and hexane extracts of *** exhibited the antibacterial activity against only one bacterium each *** and *** with the maximum zone of inhibition 13 and 11 mm respectively.
