In this study,we improve the relations of the charge-radius difference of two isotopes by considering a term that relates to the proton number and the parity of the neutron *** correction reduces the root-mean-squared deviation to 0.0041 fm for 651 nuclei with a neutron number larger than 20,in comparison with experiment-al data compiled in the CR2013 *** improved relations are combined with local relations consisting of the charge radii of four neighboring *** combinations also prove to be efficient in describing and predicting nuclear charge radii and can reflect the structure evolutions of *** predictions of 2467 unknown nuclear charge radii at competitive accuracy,which are calculated using these two types of relations,are tabulated in the Supplemental Material.

The precise mechanism of bone regeneration in different bone graft substitutes has been well studied in recent researches. However, miRNAs regulation of the bone formation has been always mysterious. We developed the anterior lumbar interbody fusion （ALIF） model in pigs using equine bone protein extract （BPE）, recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 （rhBMP-2） on an absorbable collagen sponge （ACS）, and autograft as bone graft substitute, respectively. The miRNA and gene expression profiles of different bone graft materials were examined using microarray technology and data analysis, including self-organizing maps, KEGG pathway and Biological process GO analyses. We then jointly analyzed miRNA and mRNA profiles of the bone fusion tissue at different time points respectively. Results showed that miRNAs, including let-7, miR-129, m iR-21, miR-133, miR-140, miR-146, miR-184, and miR-224, were involved in the regulation of the immune and inflammation response, which provided suitable inflammatory microenvironment for bone formation. At late stage, several miRNAs directly regulate SMAD4, Estrogen receptor 1 and 5-hydroxytryptamine （serotonin） receptor 2C for bone formation. It can be concluded that miRNAs play important roles in balancing the inflammation and bone formation.

The influence of crown ether on behaviors of arsenic at different temperatures and residence time was investigated during the pyrolysis of Tuanbo （TB） coal. The modes of occurrence of arsenic were determined by sequential chemical extraction, density fractionation and demineralization. The results indicated that at the same temperature and residence time, the arsenic removal adding dibenzo-18-crown-6 was higher than that adding 18-crown-6, and were all higher than that of TB coal during pyrolysis. When temperature was 850 ℃ and residence time was 30 min, the arsenic removal of TB coal was 30.63%; at the same condition, the arsenic removal while adding 18-crown-6 was 33.21%, higher than that of TB coal; and the arsenic removal while adding dibenzo-18-crown-6 was 67.41%, significantly higher than that of TB coal. From the results, we can see that adding crown ether can improve the arsenic removal during coal pyrolysis, and especially be conducive to the arsenic which is mainly associated with sulfates ＆ monosulfides and that in stable forms.

Comparison and Analysis of QTLs, Epistatic Effects and QTLx Environment Interactions for Yield Traits Using DH and RILs Populations in Rice

Two genetic linkage maps, constructed by DH and RILs populations derived from the same parents, were carried out for the identification and comparison of QTLs controlling yield traits across different years in rice （Oryza sativa L.）. A total of 194 SSR and STS markers were used in two maps, of which 114 markers were same. The distribution of Samgang allele was higher in RILs population than it in DH population. Comparing with DH population, RILs population has more lines with higher yield and wider phenotypic transgressive segression for yield traits. Although most of QTLs for the same trait were different in two populations across different years, 8 QTLs （including gwp 11.1, spp5.1, spp 10.1, spp 11.2, ssrl. 1, ssrl 1.1, tgw9.1 and tgwl 1.1） were detected over 2 yr. It is important to note that pppl0.1, sppl0.1 and tgw9.1 were identified in two populations, while sppl 0.1 and tgw9.1 were simultaneity observed across different years. Epistatic effects were more important than additive effects for PPP, SPP, yield in DH population and TGW, yield in R/Ls population. Epistatic effects of DH and RILs populations were different on the same genetic background in the present study, which illuminated the QE interaction played an important role on epistatic effect. Identification and comparison of QTLs for yield traits in DH and RILs populations should provide various and more precise information. The QTLs identified in present study would be valuable in marker-assisted selection program for improving rice yield.

There is still a need for better protection against or mitigation of the effects of ionizing radiation following conventional radiotherapy or accidental exposure. The objective of our current study was to investigate the possible roles of matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor, ilomastat, in the protection of mice from total body radiation（TBI）, and the underlying protective mechanisms. Ilomastat treatment increased the survival of mice after TBI. Ilomastat pretreatment promoted recovery of hematological and immunological cells in mice after 6 Gy γ-ray TBI. Our findings suggest the potential of ilomastat to protect against or mitigate the effects of radiation.
