AIM:To determine the dry eye(DE)rate and its relationship with disease stage in patients with primary ***:A cross-sectional study included 432 patients with primary hypertension(with an equal number of patients in each group:144 in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ hypertension)and 144 healthy subjects as a control *** Ocular Surface Disease Index(OSDI)and Schirmer Ⅰ test without anesthetics were conducted on all 576 *** with OSDI scores<13 and Schirmer Ⅰ values equal to or under 10 mm were diagnosed with ***:The ratio of DE in hypertension patients was higher than in the control group(41.7%versus 18.8%;P<0.001).The proportion of patients with DE increased gradually according to the hypertension stage:27.1% in stage Ⅰ,40.3% in stage Ⅱ,and 57.6% in stage Ⅲ,P<***,duration of hypertension,plasma urea,creatinine,and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(CRP-hs)levels in hypertension patients with DE were higher than those without DE,P<*** age,a long duration of hypertension,diabetes mellitus,elevated plasma creatinine,and CRP-hs levels were independent factors associated with DE in primary hypertension patients,P<***:DE is a common disorder associated with advanced age,a long duration of hypertension,diabetes mellitus,elevated plasma CRP-hs,and creatinine levels in patients with primary hypertension.

Effects of Serum Concentration, Synchronization Time and Confluence on the Cell-Cycle Synchronization Efficiency of Goat Fibroblasts

This study aims to evaluate the effect of serum concentration, synchronization time, and confluence degree on the synchronisation efficiency of goat fibroblast cycle. The results indicated that there was no difference in the percentage of nucleated fibroblasts in the G0/G1 stage between serum concentrations of 0.3% and 0.4% (83.89% and 82.69%, respectively, P > 0.05) as well as between serum concentrations of 0.2% and 0.5% (76.95% and 75.46%, respectively, P > 0.05). The percentage of nucleated fibroblasts in the G0/G1 stage was highest at the concentration of 0.3% and lowest in the control group (83.89% vs. 62.67%, P 0.05). The beneficial effect of high confluence was confirmed by the large percentage of nucleated fibroblasts at the G0/G1 stage. The 60% confluency was significantly lower than the 80% and 100% confluency (73.44%, 86.63%, and 87.17%, respectively, P < 0.05). The results indicate that the goat fibroblast cycle synchronization is the most effective at the serum concentration of 0.3%, 72 hours of synchronization and 100% confluency.

Cyanide poisoning is one of the most dangerous poisonings, and it can be absorbed into the body through the mouth, inhalation and through the skin. A 32-year-old female patient was admitted to our poison control center because of high fever, severe vomiting, and seizures. Physical examination found that the patient was drowsy, had a high fever of 40 degrees Celsius, pulse of 140 beats/minute, and increased tendon and bone reflexes. Exploiting the patient’s information, it was discovered that the patient bought Cyanide to drink with the intention of committing suicide. The patient was quickly treated with gastric lavage and activated charcoal. Echocardiography recorded EF: 35%, reduced movement of the entire myocardium. CK blood test: 4562 U/L. The patient’s condition rapidly deteriorated and the patient was made ECMO, IHD and CVVHDF. After 3 days of treatment, the patient’s condition did not improve, so the family asked for the patient to go home. This article aims to describe the rapidly progressing and severe damage to the heart and muscles of patients with cyanide poisoning.

Objective: Botulinum toxin type A is frequently used to treat crow’s feet lines. However, the optimal dose and injection sites are still controversial. The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy of different botulinum toxin type A injection patterns for the treatment of crow’s ***: This single-center, retrospective, clinical study was conducted at the National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology from July 2020 to December 2020. Data on 60 patients with crow’s feet were collected and divided into 2 groups (3-or 4-point intramuscular injection) according to the intramuscular injection technique the patients received. The treatment efficacy was assessed based on the changes in the Crow’s Feet Grading Scale score at 1, 4, and 16 weeks after treatment. Repeated measures analysis of variance was used for the assessment of changes in scores over time between the two ***: After treatment, the average Crow’s Feet Grading Scale score was significantly decreased compared with the pretreatment score at all timepoints (1, 4, and 16 weeks) in both states (dynamic: For 3-point intramuscular injection technique, 1 week: 1.90 ± 0.71vs. 2.97 ± 0.56; 4 weeks: 1.87 ± 0.68vs. 2.97 ± 0.56; 16 weeks: 2.60 ± 0.67vs. 2.97 ± 0.56.
