Technical properties of two naphthalimide based disperse dyes on nylon 6 and polyester fibers were investigated in the presence of urea. The two naphthalimide based disperse dyes were synthesized. The dyes were purified and then fully characterized using 1H-NMR, FTIR and melting point analysis. Dispersion of the dyes was prepared in water and applied on nylon 6 and PET fibers. The dyes offered good build-up properties on the substrates. In order to increase dye adsorption of the substrates, urea was added into the dyebath. By adding urea, the dye adsorption of polyester was increased significantly, while the increase of that of nylon 6 was not marked. The dyes showed good fastness properties on the substrates.

The present study was conducted with the objective of evaluating several proposed turbines from 25 kW to 1.65 MW in order to select the appropriate turbine for electricity and hydrogen production in Firuzkuh area using the decision making trial and evaluation (DEMATEL) and data envelopment analysis (DEA) methods. Initially, five important factors in selection of the best wind turbine for wind farm construction were determined using the DEMATEL technique. Then, technical-economic feasibility was performed for each of the eight proposed turbines using the HOMER software, and the performance score for each proposed wind turbine was obtained. The results show that the GE 1.5sl model wind turbine is suitable for wind farm construction. The turbine can generate 5515.325 MW of electricity annually, which is equivalent to $ 1103065. The average annual hydrogen production would be 1014 kg for Firuzkuh by using the GE 1.5sl model turbine.

In order to strengthen pure tin and improve its dry sliding resistance, Sn/SiC and Sn/Zn composites were fabricated via a powder metallurgy route. Microstructure,hardness and pin-on-disk wear resistance of pure tin and the fabricated composites were compared to those of Sn–7.5 Sb–3.5 Cu Babbitt alloy. The dominant wear mechanism at different applied loads was determined by analyzing worn surfaces and wear debris in each case. The results showed that the hardening effect of Zn was much higher than that of SiC. The hardening role of Zn in the tin matrix was ascribed to the direct load transfer mechanism. Microscopic studies of the worn surfaces revealed that the pure tin was susceptible to surface fatigue wear and plowing damage, depending on the normal load applied during the wear test. In the case of Sn/SiC composite and the Babbitt alloy, delamination wear mechanism resulting from subsurface crack propagation controlled the wear rate. While the highest hardness and the lowest coefficient of friction were obtained for the Babbitt alloy, the Sn/Zn composite exhibited the highest wear resistance at a constant applied load, indicating the importance of asperity contact type in the wear process.

Calculation of Hildebrand Solubility Parameters of Some Polymers Using QSPR Methods Based on LS-SVM Technique and Theoretical Molecular Descriptors

In this work, some chemometrics methods are applied for the modeling and prediction of the Hildebrand solubility parameter of some polymers. A genetic algorithm （GA） method is designed for the selection of variables to construct two models using the multiple linear regression （MLR） and least square-support vector machine （LS-SVM） methods in order to predict the Hildebrand solubility parameter. The MLR method is used to build a linear relationship between the molecular descriptors and the Hildebrand solubility parameter for these compounds. Then the LS-SVM method is utilized to construct the non-linear quantitative structure-activity relationship （QSAR） models. The results obtained using the LS-SVM method are then compared with those obtained for the MLR method; it was revealed that the LS-SVM model was much better than the MLR one. The root-mean-square errors of the training set and the test set for the LS-SVM model were 0.2912 and 0.2427, and the correlation coefficients were 0.9662 and 0.9518, respectively. This paper provides a new and effective method for predicting the Hildebrand solubility parameter for some polymers, and also reveals that the LS-SVM method can be used as a powerful chemometrics tool for the quantitative structure-property relationship （QSPR） studies.

The problems involving periodic contacting surfaces have different practical applications. An inverse heat conductionproblem for estimating the periodic Thermal Contact Conductance (TCC) between one-dimensional, constantproperty contacting solids has been investigated with conjugate gradient method (CGM) of function *** method converges very rapidly and is not so sensitive to the measurement errors. The advantage of thepresent method is that no a priori information is needed on the variation of the unknown quantities, since the solutionautomatically determines the functional form over the specified domain. A simple, straight forward techniqueis utilized to solve the direct, sensitivity and adjoint problems, in order to overcome the difficulties associatedwith numerical methods. Two general classes of results, the results obtained by applying inexact simulatedmeasured data and the results obtained by using data taken from an actual experiment are presented. In addition,extrapolation method is applied to obtain actual results. Generally, the present method effectively improves theexact TCC when exact and inexact simulated measurements input to the analysis. Furthermore, the results obtainedwith CGM and the extrapolation results are in agreement and the little deviations can be negligible.

BACKGROUND： Gestational trophoblastic disease （GTD） is a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by abnormal trophoblast tissue. Molar and non-molar hydropic placental changes are the most common forms of GTD. Differential diagnosis of GTD is sometimes problematic. Recently, p53 expression was identified as a good marker for distinguishing GTD types. ALMS： Comparison of p53 expression in partial hydatidiform mole （PHM） and hydropic abortion. METHODS： In this prospective cross-sectional study, molar and non-molar hydropic pregnancy specimens were collected. Immunohistochemical staining, based on the Labeled Streptavidin Biotin （LSAB） technique, was carried out on multiple 4 Ixm paraffin block sections prepared from formalin-fixed trophoblastic tissues. Polymer-based Envision was used to assess p53 tumor suppressor protein immunoreactivity, p53 expression was then compared between both groups. RESULTS： In the study, 40 patients were included： 20 with confirmed PHM and 20 with hydropic pregnancy, p53 protein was positive in 60% of patients with PHM and 25% of patients with hydropic pregnancy. The p53 positive rate was significantly higher in patients with PHM （p = 0.027）. Moreover, patients with PHM had a significantly high grade of staining （p 〈 0.001）. CONCLUSION： Our findings indicate that immunohistochemical analysis of p53 protein can be used to distinguish PHM and hydropic pregnancy.

The effects of MoS2 content on microstructure, density, hardness and wear resistance of pure copper were studied. Copper-based composites containing 0-10%（mass fraction） MoS2 particles were fabricated by mechanical milling and hot pressing from pure copper and MoS2 powders. Wear resistance was evaluated in dry sliding condition using a pin on disk configuration at a constant sliding speed of 0.2 m/s. Hardness measurements showed a critical MoS2 content of 2.5% at which a hardness peak was attained. Regardless of the applied normal load, the lowest coefficient of friction and wear loss were attained for Cu/2.5 MoS2 composite. While coefficient of friction decreased when the applied normal load was raised from 1 to 4 N at any reinforcement content, the wear volume increased with increasing normal load. SEM micrographs from the worn surfaces and debris revealed that the wear mechanism was changed from mainly adhesion in pure copper to a combination of abrasion and delamination in Cu/MoS2 composites.
