Cancer frequently develops resistance to the majority of chemotherapy *** study aimed to examine the synergistic cytotoxic and antitumor effects of SGLT2 inhibitors,specifically Canagliflozin(CAN),Dapagliflozin(DAP),Empagliflozin(EMP),and Doxorubicin(DOX),using in vitro *** precise combination of CAN+DOX has been found to greatly enhance the cytotoxic effects of doxorubicin(DOX)in MCF-7 ***,it was shown that cancer cells exhibit an increased demand for glucose and ATP in order to support their ***,when these medications were combined with DOX,there was a considerable inhibition of glucose consumption,as well as reductions in intracellular ATP and lactate ***,this effect was found to be dependent on the dosages of the *** addition to effectively inhibiting the cell cycle,the combination of CAN+DOX induces substantial modifications in both cell cycle and apoptotic gene *** work represents the initial report on the beneficial impact of SGLT2 inhibitor medications,namely CAN,DAP,and EMP,on the responsiveness to the anticancer properties of *** underlying molecular mechanisms potentially involve the suppression of the function of SGLT2.

Big data and information and communication technologies can be important to the effectiveness of smart *** on the maximal attention on smart city sustainability,developing data-driven smart cities is newly obtained attention as a vital technology for addressing sustainability ***-time monitoring of pollution allows local authorities to analyze the present traffic condition of cities and make *** to air pollution occurs a main environmental problem in smart city *** effect of the deep learning(DL)approach quickly increased and penetrated almost every domain,comprising air pollution ***,this article develops a new Coot Optimization Algorithm with an Ensemble Deep Learning based Air Pollution Prediction(COAEDL-APP)system for Sustainable Smart *** projected COAEDL-APP algorithm accurately forecasts the presence of air quality in the sustainable smart city *** achieve this,the COAEDL-APP technique initially performs a linear scaling normalization(LSN)approach to pre-process the input *** air quality prediction,an ensemble of three DL models has been involved,namely autoencoder(AE),long short-term memory(LSTM),and deep belief network(DBN).Furthermore,the COA-based hyperparameter tuning procedure can be designed to adjust the hyperparameter values of the DL *** simulation outcome of the COAEDL-APP algorithm was tested on the air quality database,and the outcomes stated the improved performance of the COAEDL-APP algorithm over other existing systems with maximum accuracy of 98.34%.

【目的】建立不同年龄、不同组织来源的亚洲象成纤维细胞系,并进行冷冻保存和细胞生物学特性研究,为实现濒危动物遗传资源保存和开发利用提供理论依据。【方法】分别采集6岁龄亚洲象耳缘组织(AE00)、新生亚洲象脐带组织(AE01)及死亡16 h后的4岁龄亚洲象耳缘组织(AE02)样品,分别建立成纤维细胞系并进行传代培养和冷冻保存,通过细胞形态学、增殖能力、衰老及凋亡水平分析不同年龄、不同组织来源成纤维细胞的生物学特性,并进行绿色荧光蛋白(GFP)转染筛选和核型检测,分析亚洲象成纤维细胞的遗传稳定性。【结果】成功建立了3头亚洲象成纤维细胞系并进行冷冻保存,复苏后细胞均能保持一定水平的活力,经连续传代培养后,细胞形态均呈梭形;AE02成纤维细胞冻存活力、细胞增殖能力均最佳,细胞凋亡率依次为AE01(16.7%)>AE00(6.4%)>AE02(3.8%),细胞衰老率依次为AE00(35.9%)>AE01(17.2%)>AE02(7.8%);AE02细胞经长达19次传代后,细胞染色体数目稳定,AE00进行GFP转染筛选可获得稳定表达GFP的亚洲象成纤维细胞系。【结论】本研究成功建立了不同年龄、不同组织来源的亚洲象成纤维细胞系,细胞形态均为梭形,不同年龄、不同组织来源的成纤维细胞系增殖能力、细胞衰老及凋亡水平均不同,经连续传代后细胞染色体数目稳定,能实现外源基因的稳定转染和长期筛选,可作为濒危动物遗传资源长期保存和复活个体的重要方法之一。

BACKGROUND One of the most popular bariatric procedures is sleeve gastrectomy,and it has become significantly more common in recent *** To evaluate the research activity in sleeve gastrectomy over the last two decades,and to visualize the hot spots and emerging trends in this type of bariatric surgeryusing bibliometric *** The Scopus database was used to search for publications related to sleeve *** retrieved publications were reviewed in terms of year of publication,type of study,country of origin,institutions,journals,and citation patterns by using descriptive *** network and term cooccurrence analysis were visualized by using VOSviewer *** The search strategy yielded a total of 6508 publications on sleeve gastrectomy from 2001 to *** regards the document type,the majority were articles(n=5230;80.36%),followed by reviews(n=544;8.36%).The top three countries are the United States,with 1983 publications(30.47%),followed by France(600;9.22%)and Italy(417;6.71%).The most cited publication was published in 2012 by Schauer et al in the New England Journal of Medicine(n=1435 citations).This publication found that weight loss was greater in the sleeve gastrectomy group than in the medical therapy ***,this study demonstrated that 12 mo of medical therapy plus bariatric surgery greatly improved glycemic regulation in obese patients with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes compared with medical therapy *** focus of the current literature on sleeve gastrectomy was directed toward several themes such as morbidity and potential complications,the complexity of the procedure and different surgical approaches,and diabetes and body mass index in correlation to sleeve *** The number of sleeve gastrectomy publications has gradually grown over the last 20 *** bibliometric analysis could help researchers better understand the knowledge base and research frontiers surrounding sleeve

The in-situ measurements of the ionospheric plasma that we use come from two instruments of the scientific payload of the satellite DEMETER; the plasma analyser IAP （Instrument d＇analyse du plasma） and the Langmuir probe ISL （Instrument Sonde de Langmuir）. DEMETER is a micro-satellite realized by the CNES（Centre National d＇Etudes Spatiales, France） with a principal objective to seek a possible influence of the seismic activity on the electromagnetic waves in the ionosphere and on the ionospheric plasma. The satellite was placed on June 29, 2004, in a circular and quasi helio-synchronous orbit at -710 km altitude. The experiments function primarily at mid-latitudes （from ＋60° to -60°）. The IAP data were analysed to deduce the ion population （densities of the dominant ions, i.e. generally O^＋, h^＋ and he^＋） therefore the total ion density. The use of data IAP thus requires some precaution to make sure that the electric equilibrium conditions of the satellite, such as the satellite potential （Фsat）, are obtained during the treatment of routine, does not induce an error of measurement. When this potential is negative, the minority light ions h^＋ and he^＋ can be measured in a reliable way when their proportion is above 3% to 5% of that of O^＋. The critical limitation is： under certain conditions, the satellite potential becomes positive and reach a value about -0.5 V so that it becomes impossible to measure h^＋ ions. This is likely to involve a significant error on the composition and the density of the plasma. Therefore we carried out a calibration to estimate the missing density. The ISL experiment （Langmuir probe） provided the collected current/polarized tension characteristics of a cylindrical probe from which both electron density Ne and temperature Te were obtained. Lip-reading technologies are rapidly progressing following the breakthrough of deep *** plays a vital role in its many applications,such as:human-machine communication practices or security *** this paper,we propose to develop an effective lip-reading recognition model for Arabic visual speech recognition by implementing deep learning *** Arabic visual datasets that have been collected contains 2400 records of Arabic digits and 960 records of Arabic phrases from 24 native *** primary purpose is to provide a high-performance model in terms of enhancing the preprocessing ***,we extract keyframes from our ***,we produce a Concatenated Frame Images(CFIs)that represent the utterance sequence in one single ***,the VGG-19 is employed for visual features extraction in our proposed *** have examined different keyframes:10,15,and 20 for comparing two types of approaches in the proposed model:(1)the VGG-19 base model and(2)VGG-19 base model with batch *** results show that the second approach achieves greater accuracy:94%for digit recognition,97%for phrase recognition,and 93%for digits and phrases recognition in the test ***,our proposed model is superior to models based on CFIs input.

Food habits of striped hyena(hyaena hyaena) in a semi-arid conservation area of India

Striped hyena（hyaena hyaena） is a near-threatened large carnivore known to occur in arid and semi-arid landscapes in many parts of the world. Its population is declining globally and ecological information is required urgently to meet their conservation needs. We studied the diet pattern of the striped hyena in the semi-arid Gir National Park and Sanctuary（GNPS）, western India. Prey items eaten by the striped hyena were identified from scats. Around 44.4% scats represented single to three mammalian preys while 55.6% of them represented four preys to seven preys. A variety of food items were identified including mammals, birds, insects and vegetable matters. Scats analysis showed that 63.91% diet of striped hyena was contributed by wild prey items, 20.94% by domestic prey and 3.31% by birds, whereas vegetable and insects contributed 9.92% and 1.93%, respectively. Diet diversity of the striped hyena computed by the Shannon-Weiner Index（h） was found to be 2.64. The presence of domestic mammals in the scat remains implied that the striped hyena might frequently visit human habitation in search for food and hence, a potential conflict between human and wildlife might arise. Reducing the dependence of hyena on domestic livestock is a challenge to ensure the survival of striped hyena outside the protected area.

Evaluation of patients with dry eye disease for conjunctival Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealyticum

AIM：To determine the possibility of the development of dry eye disease（DED） as a result of persistent infection with Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealyticum in the conjunctiva of ***： This study was conducted on 58 patients of age range 20-50 y,diagnosed with DED confirmed by Schirmer I test and tear breakup *** non-dry eye control group included 27 subjects of the same *** specimens were collected as conjunctival scrapings and swabs divided into three groups： the first used for bacterial culture,the second and third taken to detect Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealyticum by direct fluorescent antibody（DFA） assay and polymerase chain reaction（PCR） method. RESULTS： Chlamydia trachomatis was detected in 65.5% and 76% of DED patients by DFA and PCR methods *** urealyticum was found in 44.8% of DED infected patients using the PCR *** organisms were identified in only 37.9% of DED patients found to be *** subjects had a 22%detection rate of Chlamydia trachomatis by DFA assay versus a 7% detection rate by PCR; while Ureaplasma urealyticum was detected in 3.7% of the controls by PCR *** conjunctival culture revealed that gram positive microorganisms represented 75% of isolates with coagulase negative Staphylococci the most common（50%） followed by Staphylococcus aureus（20%）,whereas gram negative microorganisms occurred in 25% of cases,isolating Moraxella *** the most frequent organism. CONCLUSION： Our results tend to point out that Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealyticum were detected in a moderate percentage of patients with DED,and could be a fair possibility for its *** is more reliable in detecting Chlamydia trachomatis than DFA *** presence of isolated conjunctival bacterial microflora can be of some potential value.
