Objective:To determine the influence of the single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)rs4245739 on the binding and expression of micro RNAs and subsequent MDM4 expression and the correlation of these factors with clinical determinants of ER-negative breast ***:Find Tar and miRanda were used to detect the manner in which potential micro RNAs are affected by the SNP rs4245739-flanking *** sequencing data for ER-negative breast cancer from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)were used to compare the expression of miR-184,miR-191,miR-193a,miR-378,and MDM4 in different rs4245739 ***:Comparison of ER-negative cancer patients with and without the expression of miR-191 as well as profile micro RNAs(miR-184,miR-191,miR-193a and miR-378 altogether)can differentiate the expression of MDM4 among different rs4245739 *** simple genotyping alone did not reveal significant clinical relationships,the combination of genotyping and micro RNA profiles was able to significantly differentiate individuals with larger tumor size and lower number of involved lymph nodes(P<0.05)in the risk group(A allele).Conclusions:We present two novel methods to analyze SNPs within 3′UTRs that use:(i)a single miRNA marker expression and(ii)an expression profile of miRNAs predicted to bind to the SNP *** demonstrate that the application of these two methods,in particular the miRNA profile approach,permits detection of new molecular and clinical features related to the rs4245739 variant in ER-negative breast cancer.

Testing the effect of individual color morphology on immune response in bush-crickets

Despite the growing interest in how an individual＇s immune response is correlated to morphological and ecological factors, little empirical data has been available from wild insect populations. Many insects have different color morphs and exhibit differences in immune responses. Links are expected to exist between body colors and immune function in insects, because the same biochemical precursors involved in the immune response are responsible for melanin-based color markings. In this study, I assay the immune response of two different color morphs of 377 wild-caught bush-crickets, Metrioptera roeseli, from 20 populations by measuring individual encapsulation responses to a surgically implanted nylon monofilament. There was no difference between green and brown bush-cricket morphs （low melanin vs high melanin investment in cuticula color respectively） and their ability to mount an immune response to the implant. Further study is needed on the relationship between color morphology and immune response in wild insects, and whether trade-offs occur between factors during an insect＇s development phase and long-term health.

In the present paper are reported the OH…O out-of-plane bending band[γ(OH)] between 900—950 cm -1 of dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA), its dependence upon temperature and its overtone band investigated via FTIR spectroscopy. It has been found based on the crystal structure that the band [γ(OH)] may not certainly be the characteristic band of carboxylic dimers, it can also result from another H-bond formed between carboxylic carbonyl and the primary hydroxyl. In addition, the band [γ(OH)] is very sensitive to temperature change but its overtone band can only appear at a low temperature.

Surface plasmon resonance(SPR) systems are widely used for detailed characterization of antibody activities including antigen and Fc-receptor binding. During the later stages of development, where the focus is to ensure that established critical quality attributes(CQAs) are maintained during cell culture,purification and formulation processes, analysis is simplified, and relative potencies are often determined. Here, simulation of binding data revealed that relative potency values, determined via parallel line analysis(PLA) and half maximal effective concentration(EC50) analysis accurately reflect changes in active concentration only if binding kinetics remain unchanged. Changes in the association rate constant shifted dose response curves, and therefore relative potencies, in the same way as changes in analyte concentration do. However, for interactions characterized by stable binding, changes in the dissociation rate constant did not result in any shift, suggesting that this type of change may go unnoticed in the dose response curve. Thus, EC50 and PLA analyses of dose response curves obtained with an anti-TNF-α antibody were complemented with the Biacore functionality for sensorgram comparison analysis, whereby changes in antigen and Fc-receptor binding profiles could be detected. Next, analysis of temperature stressed TNF-α antibody revealed that calibration free concentration analysis(CFCA) data correlated perfectly with relative potency values. Together, these results demonstrate that combinations of SPR based dose response curves, sensorgram comparison and CFCA can be used to strengthen the confidence in relative potency assessments, and suggest that SPR can potentially be used as a surrogate potency assay in the quality control of biotherapeutic medicines.

Objective:This study aimed to determine the effect of Oketani massage with jasmine oil on improving breast milk production on days *** and Methods:This preexperimental one-group pretest-posttest design was conducted with 44 eligible respondents,selected using an incidental sampling *** massage with jasmine oil was conducted once a day for 3 consecutive days.A total of 44 respondents were selected with incidental *** breast milk production was observed through the frequency of baby urination in 24 h,the frequency of baby defecation in 24 h,the baby’s weight,and the length of time the baby slept or remained calm after ***:Results showed that Oketani massage using jasmine oil impacted on increasing breast milk production in postpartum on days 1-3(Z=6.633,P=0.000).The baby’s weight in 3 days was increased after intervention compared with intervention before(2858.25±180.62 g vs.2881.66±180.96 g,t=55.33,P=0.000),the baby’s urination frequency was increased after intervention(4.55±0.50 vs.7.20±0.70,t=17.87,P=0.000),the breastfeeding frequency has decreased(10.27±1.42 vs.8.82±0.82,t=6.94,P=0.000),and the time of baby’s sleeping or calming state has increased(5.14±6.46 h vs.8.48±10.24 h,t=2.11,P=0.041).Conclusion:Oketani massage combined with jasmine oil has been shown to be effective on improving breast milk production on days 1-3.

Penetrating keratoplasty in children under 3 years old with congenital corneal opacities
