CD28 ligation increases macrophage suppression of T-cell proliferation

When compared to spleen or lymph node cells, resident peritoneal cavity cells respond poorly to T-cell activation in vitro. The greater proportional representation of macrophages in this cell source has been shown to actively suppress the T-cell response. Peritoneal macrophages exhibit an immature phenotype （MHC class IIlo, B7lo） that reduces their efficacy as antigen-presenting cells. Furthermore, these cells readily express inducible nitric oxide synthase （iNoS）, an enzyme that promotes T-cell tolerance by catabolism of the limiting amino acid arginine. Here, we investigate the ability of exogenous T-cell costimulation to recover the peritoneal T-cell response. We show that CD28 ligation failed to recover the peritoneal T-cell response and actually suppressed responses that had been recovered by inhibiting iNoS. As indicated by cytokine elISpot and neutralizing monoclonal antibody （mab） treatment, this ＇cosuppression＇ response was due to CD28 ligation increasing the number of interferon （IFN）-y-secreting cells. our results illustrate that cellular composition and cytokine milieu influence T-cell costimulation biology.

Novel crystallization behaviors of Zr55Cu30Al10Ni5 bulk metallic glass are investigated. on the one hand, mixed oxides, including Cuo, cualo2, cua12o4 and Zro2, show sequential oxidation process determined by coupling effects of specific cyclic load and temperature. on the other hand, at a temperature (100℃) by far lower than Tg of 412 ℃, under cyclic loading condition, non-oxidized binary alloy CuZr2 is precipitated;the thermo-mechanical coupled effects of temperature below Tg, and fatigue accumulation on the non-oxidized crystallization behaviors are revealed. Meanwhile, at a constant temperature of 400 ℃, by comparing among the XRD patterns, respectively, obtained from tensile, creep and fatigue fractures, the dominating effect of cyclic load on the generation of non-oxidized CuZr2 is verified. Furthermore, the crystallization behavior of amorphous phases under cyclic loading condition is observed through TEM micrograph and diffraction pattern at 100℃.

The incidence of congenital uterine anomalies(cua)appears to be higher than previously thought owing to improved diagnostic imaging modalities.[1]A recent systematic review has estimated the prevalence to be 5.5%in the unselected population,8.0%in infertile women,and 13.3%in those with a history of *** commonest anomaly across all populations appear to be the septate variety(ie,canalization defects)followed by the bicornuate variety(ie,fusion defects).[2]Another meta-analysis has shown that several adverse reproductive outcomes associated with cua,such as increased miscarriage rates,increased preterm delivery rates,and increased perinatal mortality rates.[3]

Calcific uremic arteriolopathy (cua) is a rare pathology affecting 5% of dialysis patients but with a poor prognosis. It is characterized by calcification and thrombotic lesions of the microcirculation leading to hyperalgesic ischemic skin lesions. Several risk factors have been identified, mainly warfarin treatment, mineral and bone disorders (MBD), inflammation and malnutrition. In the evocative forms, the diagnosis is made based upon the physical examination finding of classic painful ulcerated lesions that are covered by a black eschar. Skin biopsy, due to the risk of aggravation and delayed healing, is only performed in case of doubt diagnosis. The therapeutic attitude due to the lack of solid randomized studies is based on expert consensus and requires a multidisciplinary approach. We report here the case of a patient with cua revealed in the form of multiple ulcerative-necrotic skin lesions associated with pressure sores and arterial wounds.

柯雄文、芬格莱特和安乐哲在阐释儒家君子观念时,都主张摆脱身/心、个体/社会、事实/价值的二元论,呈现了当代英语世界儒学研究的学术前沿。柯雄文从美德伦理学出发,他围绕美德、良心等德性概念阐释儒家君子,而非正确、责任、义务等义务论概念。他认为君子传递的是“力量与生机”,反对将君子理解为理性之人(reasonableness),而主张通情达理之人(reasonable)。芬格莱特强调儒家君子的特质是礼学精神。他主张去心理学化,礼学精神并不是对个体心理的描述,而是指向“人际性”,表现为一种公共价值。安乐哲反思西方世界对儒家经典的翻译和解读,认为存在两种错误倾向——“基督化”与“东方化”,他认为儒家强调的是个体生命的活动过程,君子通过道德生命活动从而呈现自我,并不预设一个先验的理性主体或自我。柯雄文、芬格莱特和安乐哲对儒家君子观念的阐释,为我们儒学研究提供了新的视角。

Microstructure and sliding wear behavior of pseudo-alloy PS45/cual8 composite coating sprayed by HVAA technique

A pseudo-alloy PS45/cual8 composite coating was sprayed on steel substrate by high-velocity activated arc spraying (HVAA) process. Its sliding wear behavior at room temperature was evaluated by M-2000 wear tester. For comparison, a single cual8 coating was also prepared and tested under the same conditions. It is found that the pseudo-alloy composite coating consists of α-Cu and γ-Ni metallic matrix phases together with homogenously distributed minor Al 2 o 3 , Cr 2 o 3 oxide phases. Moreover, pseudo-alloy coating possesses much better sliding wear resistance than cual8 coating due to the enhanced hardness and microstructural homogenization. Fatigue wear and abrasive wear are responsible for the wear-down mechanism of the pseudo-alloy coating.

利用机械合金化方法制备Al-20%Sn-4.5%Cu合金粉末,将之压制成型后进行烧结。用X射线衍射仪(XRD)、扫描电镜(SEM)和差示扫描量热仪(DSC)分析了Al-20%Sn-4.5%Cu合金在高能球磨和烧结过程中的组织变化。结果表明,该合金粉末经40 h球磨后,可以获得纳米级Sn颗粒均匀弥散分布在Al基体上的组织,并且形成了Al(Cu)过饱和固溶体;在随后的烧结过程中,Sn相尺寸仍保持在200 nm左右,Al(Cu)过饱和固溶体则以cual相的形式脱溶析出。

采用一浴法对铜进行了热浸镀镀铝试验,热浸镀时间为8s,热浸镀温度为690~740℃。研究了热浸镀温度对Cu/Al复合材料组织、导电性能及结合性能的影响,采用扫描电子显微镜（SEM）和偏光显微镜（PM）观察双金属结合界面金相组织形貌,用能谱仪（EDS）进行化学成分分析,用X射线衍射仪（XRD）进行物相分析。结果表明：随着热浸镀温度的升高,Cu/Al复合材料导电性能迅速降低;结合性能出现先升高后降低的趋势。在热浸镀温度为710℃、热浸镀时间为8s的条件下,Cu/Al复合材料过渡层的金属间化合物晶粒比较小而且分布较均匀,相比温度升高获得的粗大晶粒而言更有弥散强化优势,并且有利于应力的缓解释放,此时Cu/Al复合材料结合强度最高,达到了最大的16MPa,过渡层内形成了良好的结合界面;Cu/Al复合材料界面主要生成了cual2,cual,Cu9Al4,K3AlF6等化合物,但金属间化合物过多会对缺陷比较敏感,易产生裂纹,严重影响Cu/Al复合材料的导电性和结合性。Cu/Al复合材料的界面结构为Cu/Cu-Al化合物＋Cu基固溶体/Al-cual2共晶组织＋Cu-Al化合物＋Al基固溶体/Al。
