A magnetically stabilized bed （MSB） reactor for selective hydrogenation of olefins in reformate was developed by combining the advantages of MSB and amorphous nickel alloy catalyst. The effects of operating conditions, such as temperature, pressure, liquid space velocity, hydrogen-to-oil ratio, and magnetic field intensity on the reaction were studied. A mathematical model of MSB reactor for hydrogenation of olefins in reformate was established. A reforming flow scheme with a post-hydrogenation MSB reactor was proposed. Finally, MSB hydrogenation was compared with clay treatment and conventional post-hydrogenation.

Alga-lysing bacteria have been paid much attention to in recent years. In this study, the alga-lysing strain P05 which was isolated from an immobilizing biosystem was immobilized by coke and elastic filler, forming two biological reactors. The removal efficiencies of algae, NH4^＋-N and organic matter using the two reactors were studied. The results showed that strain P05 was an ideal algal-lysing bacteria strain because it was easy to be immobilized by coke and elastic filler which are of cheap, low biodegradability and the simple immobilization procedure. After 7 d filming, the biological film could be formed and the reactors were used to treat the eutrophic water. These two reactors were of stability and high effect with low cost and easy operation. The optimal hydraulic retention time （HRT） of each reactor was 4 h. The algae removal rates were 80.38% and 82.1% （in term of Chl-α） of coke reactor and filler reactor, respectively. And that of NH4^＋-N were 52.3% and 52.7%. The removal rates of CODMn were 39.03% and 39.64%. The strain P05 was identified as Bacillus sp. by PCR amplification of the 16S rRNA gene, BLAST analysis, and comparison with sequences in the GenBank nucleotide database.

Accuracy of simulated permeability can be improved using soft data during the process of simulation. Integrating soft data with hard data, a method based on COSISIM （sequential indicator cosimulation） was proposed to reconstruct permeability. The algorithm COSISIM extends the SISIM （sequential indicator simulation） algorithm to handle secondary data. At the difference of SISIM, data must already be an indicator-coded prior to using COSISIM. The soft data were integrated with hard data using the Markov-Bayes algorithm and must be coded into indicators before they are used. This method was tested on a regional simulation of permeability. The simulated results and the original distribution of permeability were compared. The experimental results demonstrate that this method is practical.

The melting characteristics and wettability of the binding phase in high basicity sinter were studied. By changing nCaO∶nFe2O3 （molar ratio of CaO to Fe2O3） as well as the percentage of MgO,SiO2,and Al2O3,the melting characteristics and wettability of the binding phase were discussed. The results indicated that the characteristic melting temperature was the lowest and wettability was the best at nCaO∶nFe2O3=1∶1 （without addition）; the addition of MgO increased the characteristic melting temperature and contact angles; when the percentage of SiO2 or Al2O3 was 3%,the characteristic melting temperature was the lowest,whereas the contact angles increased with an increase in SiO2 and Al2O3 contents.

Advanced thermal harrier coatings （TBCs） with better thermal barrier performance are required by both advanced gas turbine and air engine. In this work, novel bimodal TBCs with low thermal conductivity were deposited and characterized by a novel co-spray approach with both solid powder and suspension. Experimental and finite element analyses were used to optimize the process parameters to prepare the specific morphology nanostructure features. With a comprehensive understanding on the influence of spraying parameters on the morphology ofnano-particles, homogeneous nano-particle heaps with a large aspect ratio were introduced to conventional layered coatings by plasma co-spraying with suspension and solid powder. Co-sprayed bimodal microstructure composite coatings resulted from both wet suspension droplets and molten particle droplets exhibited low thermal conductivity. The thermal conductivity of the composite coating was 1/5 lower than that of the counterpart coatings by conventional plasma spraying with solid powder. This study sheds light to the structural tailoring towards the advanced TBCs with low thermal conductivity.

Water blooms have become a worldwide environmental problem. Recently, algicidal bacteria have attracted wide attention as possible agents for inhibiting algal water blooms. In this study, one strain of algicidal bacterium B5 was isolated from activated sludge. On the basis of analysis of its physiological characteristics and 16S rDNA gene sequence, it was identified as Bacillusfusiformis. Its algaelysing characteristics on Microcystis aeruginosa, Chlorella and Scenedesmus were tested. The results showed that：（1） the algicidal bacterium B5 is a Gram-negative bacterium. The 16S rDNA nucleotide sequence homology of strain B5 with 2 strains of B. fusiformis reached 99.86%, so B5 was identified as B. fusiformis; （2） the algal-lysing effects of the algicidal bacterium B5 on M. aeruginosa, Chlorella and Scenedesrnus were pronounced. The initial bacterial and algal cell densities strongly influence the removal rates of chlorophyll-a. The greater the initial bacterial cell density, the faster the degradation of chlorophyll-a. The greater the initial algal cell density, the slower the degradation of chlorophyll-a. When the bacterial cell density was 3.6 × 10^7 cells/ml, nearly 90% of chlorophyll-a was removed. When the chlorophyll-a concentration was less than 550 μg/L, about 70% was removed; （3） the strain B5 lysed algae by secreting metabolites and these metabolites could bear heat treatment.

The purpose of this work is to propose a scheme to stabilize the predictive control systems in the practical stability sense. In the paper, the authors dealt with a general discrete predictive control system x j+1|t =f(x j|t , u j|t ) by using the Lyapunov direct method combining with receding horizon control technique, and presented a new condition to guarantee the practical stabilization of the systems. With the proposed results, one can design the optimal controllers easily to practically stabilize the predictive control systems.

The combination of photothermal therapywith chemotherapy has gradually developed into promising cancer ***,a synergistic photothermal-chemotherapy nanoplatform based on polydopamine(PDA)-coated gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)were facilely achieved via the in situ polymerization of dopamine(DA)on the surface of *** nanoplatform exhibited augmented photothermal conversion efficiency and enhanced colloidal stability in comparison with uncoated PDA shell *** i-motif DNA nanostructure was assembled on PDA-coated AuNPs,which could be transformed into a C-quadruplex structure under an acidic environment,showing a characteristic pH *** PDA shell served as a linker between the AuNPs and the i-motif DNA *** enhance the specific cellular uptake,the AS1411 aptamer was introduced to the DNA nanostructure employed as a targeting *** addition,Dox-loaded NPs(DAu@PDA-AS141)showed the pH/photothermal-responsive release of *** photothermal effect of DAu@PDA-AS141 elicited excellent photothermal performance and efficient cancer cell inhibition under 808 nm near-infrared(NIR)***,these results demonstrate that the DAu@PDA-AS141 nanoplatform shows great potential in synergistic photothermal-chemotherapy.
