Pasveh gabbros are mafic component of a plutonic complex in the northwest sanandaj- sirjan Zone. These cumulative rocks are composed of plagioclase and calcic clinopyroxene （Cpx）, which yield unusually high CaO （〉19 wt.%） in whole-rock chemistry. Petrographical and geochemical data suggest that Pasveh gabbros can be divided into two groups： free scapolite and scapolite-bearing gabbros. The second group has higher Na20, K20, and P205 relative to free scapolite ones and is enriched in lIl （large ion lithophile） and HFs （high field strength） elements. Two stages of metasomatism affected the primary composition of mafic rocks. Firstly, high temperature reaction caused to invert primary high Ti clinopyroxene to low Ti cUnopyroxene＋high Ti amphibole. This reaction was extensive and included all gabbroic samples. Hydrothermal fluids involved in this process can be derived from dehydration reactions of country rocks or from other magmas incorporated in the formation of Pasveh complex pluton. The second metasomatic stage relates to scapolitization of limited parts of gabbroic rocks. An external saline fluid, which is composed of major NaCI and minor KCI and P205 components, impacted locally on Pasveh gabbros and formed the second metasomatic stage. Possible sources of Na and Cl are primary evaporites or brines, which were present in the host sediments of the gabbros. The carbonate-free nature of these hydrothermal fluids suggests that hydrothermal fluids responsible for the formation of scapolite in Pasveh gabbros are derived from marine evaporitic parentage.

multiple mode resonance shifts in tilted fiber Bragg gratings(TFBGs)are used to simultaneously measure the thickness and the refractive index of TiO_(2) thin films formed by Atomic layer deposition(AlD)on optical *** is achieved by comparing the experimental wavelength shifts of 8 TFBG resonances during the deposition process with simulated shifts from a range of thicknesses(T)and values of the real part of the refractive index(n).The minimization of an error function computed for each(n,T)pair then provides a solution for the thickness and refractive index of the deposited film and,a posteriori,to verify the deposition rate throughout the process from the time evolution of the wavelength shift *** of the results were carried out with a conventional ellipsometer on flat witness samples deposited simultaneously with the fiber and with scanning electron measurements on cut pieces of the fiber *** final values obtained by the TFBG(n=2.25,final thickness of 185 nm)were both within 4%of the validation *** approach provides a method to measure the formation of nanoscale dielectric coatings on fibers in situ for applications that require precise thicknesses and refractive indices,such as the optical fiber sensor ***,the TFBG can also be used as a process monitor for deposition on other substrates for deposition methods that produce uniform coatings on dissimilar shaped substrates,such as AlD.

The growth performance of a selected F1 rainbow trout genetically characterized as polymorphic with locus Omy207UoG (NA = 13, PIC = 0.891, HE = 0.9003) was evaluated in a recirculating aquaculture system (RAs). A set of 157 rainbow trout of 37.8 g of mean body weight and 14.6 cm mean total length per tank, were introduced in each of six fish tank of 5 m3 connected to a recirculating aquaculture system (RAs). The trout was rearing during 317 days. Growth performance indicators and water quality were evaluated during the experiment. The genetically selected F1 rainbow trout showed a tendency towards homogeneity in growth performance along the culture period, reaching a mean total weight of 552.2 g. The length-weight relationship indicated an isometric growth (>3.0). This study presents the basis to establish a long-term marker-assisted selection program for rainbow trout culture in a subtropical region.

This research was focused on the valorisation of glycerol,exploring the feasibility of an efficient route for oxygenated additives production based on its etherification with bio-butanol.A home-made bea zeolite sample with a tuneable acidity has been proposed as the catalytic system,being tested in a stirred reactor under different etherification *** a reaction temperature as high as 200℃resulted to be beneficial in terms of glycerol conversion(-90%),only by operating at milder conditions the product selectivity to glycerol-ethers can be better controlled,in order to obtain a bio-fuel complying with the requirements for mixing with fossil diesel or biodiesel,without any need of purification from large amount of by-products.A comprehensive identification of all the compounds formed during the reaction was performed by a GC-ms analysis,on the basis of the complex network of consecutive and parallel reaction paths leading not only to the desired ethers,but also to many side products not detected in similar acid-catalyzed reactions in liquid phase and not available in the most used mass-spectra libraries.

This work focuses to improve the mechanical properties and investigates the growth of osteoblasts on a degradable chitosan/poly(l-lactide)/carbon nanotubes composite for tissue engineering. The morphological and mechanical properties characterizations were performed using scanning electronic microscopy (sEm) and rheometrics analysis system (RsA). Osteoblasts differentiation was determined by alkaline phosphatase activity, total number cells by an Alamar Blue assay, cell attachment and proliferation were visualized qualitatively using sEm, mineralization was characterized by transformed infrared spectroscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The results suggest that the chitosan/poly(l-lactide)/multiwalled carbon nanotubes composites exhibit the ability to promote cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation on their surface.

The air quality in many cities has been deteriorating and affecting population’s health. Airborne particles can block the defense mechanisms of respiratory system and may lead biological elements such as pollen, bacteria, fungi and viruses into the lungs. This paper presents the study of biologically contaminated air in the city of Hermosillo, analyzing filters containing particulate matter with a diameter equal or less than 10 micrometers (Pm10) and Total suspended Particles (TsP). Three sampling periods were analyzed during 2011. samples taken from the filters were placed in tubes containing nutritive broth BHI (Brain Heart Infusion) and incubated at 37 °C for 24 hours. The identification of the isolated microorganisms was done by a biochemical test recommended in Bergey’s manual. Results showed a high bacteria concentration in the presence of microorganisms such as Klebsiella pneumoniae sub pneumoniae, Citrobacter, Enterococcus faecalis, Proteus penneri, Butiauxellaagrestis, salmonella paratyphi A and Enterobacter sacazakii. When bacterial concentration was analyzed separately, the lowest number of bacteria was observed during February for the south location and in August for the north location. The highest degree of bacterial air pollution was found in the central area of the city.

Relation between self-recalled childhood physical activity and adult physical activity: The women’s health initiative

Background: Evidence suggests that childhood physical activity may play a role in the etiology and prevention of adult chronic diseases. Because researchers must often depend on self-recalled physical activity data many years after the exposure, it is important to understand factors which may influence adult recall of childhood physical activity. This study evaluated the influence of adult characteristics on reported childhood physical activity and the association between adult physical activity and self-recalled childhood physical activity. methods: 48,066 post-menopausal women from the Women’s Health Initiative Observational study reported their physical activity level during ages 5-9, 10-14, and 15-19. Results: In this cohort, over 65% of the population reported the same category of physical activity over the three childhood age groups. While higher levels of childhood physical activity were significantly associated with higher adult physical activity, this association varied by race/ethnicity, education, smoking, body mass index, history of diabetes or cardiovascular disease, social support and physical functional status. Women who were consistently highly active reported adult physical activity levels that were 2.82 mET-hr/week (95% C.I. = 2.43, 3.20) higher compared to women who were always physically inactive during childhood. Conclusions: It is important for researchers to understand the influence of adult characteristics on reported childhood physical activity.
