Complexes of la （III）, Nd（III）, Gd（III）, Sm（III）, and Ce（IV） were synthesized with Schiff base [（3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hy- droxybenzyl） amino] acetic acid （H3L）. The ligand and its complexes were synthesized and characterized based on the following analysis： elemental analyses, FAB-mass, molar conductance measurements, magnetic measurement, UV-visible, IR, and NMR spectral studies. The spectral data revealed that the ligand acted as a neutral tridentate coordinating to metal ion through ONO donor sequence. Thermal degradation studies of the ligand and its complexes showed that the previous lanthanide complexes were more thermally stable than the ligand itself. The Schiff base and its complexes were screened for their antibacterial （Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus） and antifungal （Aspergillus flavus and Candida Albicans）.

Microbial fuel cells(M FCs)represent a new approach for treating w aste w ater along w ith electricity *** present study addressed electricity production from domestic w astew ater using a mediator-less double chamber M *** electricity production w as monitored under different operational conditions for both summer and w inter *** of the anodic and cathodic chambers resulted in a maximal current of 0.784 and 0.645 m A w ith the maximal pow er intensity of 209 and 117 m W/m2in pow er duration of 24 h for the summer and w inter samples,*** electron microscopy show ed that the bacterial biofilm formation on the anode w as denser for the summer sample than that w hen the w inter sample w as used,so w as the total bacterial ***,samples taken during summer w ere considered better in electricity production and w aste w ater treatment than those taken during w inter basically because of the high microbial load during the hot *** parallel,there w as a decrease in both biological oxygen demand(BOD5)and chemical oxygen demand(COD)values which reached 71.8%and 72.85%,respectively at the end of the operation process for the summer sample,w hile there w as no evident decrease for the w inter *** the operating conditions not only increased the potential of using domestic w aste w ater in microbial fuel cells to produce electricity,but also improved the quality of the domestic w aste w ater.

The four isolates solid complexes:[la(RHC)(NO_(3))_(2)]·3H_(2)O,[Nd(RHC)(NO_(3))_(2)]·4H_(2)O,[Eu(RHC)(NO_(3))_(2)]·2H_(2)O,and[Ce(RHC)(NO_(3))_(2)]·5H_(2)O that obtained by the reaction of the nitrate salts of the Ce(Ⅲ),Eu(Ⅲ),Nd(Ⅲ)and la(Ⅲ)ions and rhodamie C(RHC)ligand were interpretative using elemental analysis(C,H and N),molar conductivity,infrared,electronic,fluorescence and 1H-NMR spectra to achieve the speculated suitable *** low molar conductance values of the synthesized RHC complexes concluded the non-electrolytic *** infrared spectra recorded the absence of stretching vibrationν(OH)of the—COOH and presence of two new vibration bands at 1597~1601 and 1383~1399 cm^(-1)which were assigned toνas(COO-)andνs(COO-).The difference between them revealed that the carboxylate group acts as a bidentate ligand.1HNMR spectra of Europium and lanthanum(Ⅲ)complexes were supported the FTIR results based on the absent of proton of the carboxylic ***,the microanalytical and spectroscopic results deduced that RHC acts as a monobasic bidentate ligand,and coordinated to the central metal(Ⅲ)ions via the two oxygen atoms of deprotonated carboxylic *** studies were performed on the metal complexes of Ce^(3+),Tb^(3+),Th^(4+),Gd^(3+)and la^(3+),that referred a quenching in the fluorescene intensity of rhodamine C in the aqueous state after *** antimicrobial assessment against some kind of bacteria and fungi were also checked and recorded enhancement in case of their complexes.

At present,the immense development of social networks allows generating a significant amount of textual data,which has facilitated researchers to explore the field of opinion *** addition,the processing of textual opinions based on the term frequency-inverse document frequency method gives rise to a dimensionality *** study aims to detect the nature of opinions in the Arabic language employing a swarm intelligence(SI)-based algorithm,harris hawks algorithm,to select the most relevant *** experimental study has been tested on two datasets:Arabic Jordanian General Tweets and Opinion Corpus for *** terms of accuracy and number of features,the results are better than those of other SI based algorithms,such as grey wolf optimizer and grasshopper optimization algorithm,and other algorithms in the literature,such as differential evolution,genetic algorithm,particle swarm optimization,basic and enhanced whale optimizer algorithm,slap swarm algorithm,and ant–lion optimizer.

Aim:The aim was to assess the impact of hyperglycemia on the recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)as well as evaluate survival after curative a.la.ion by ***:This study,which was conducted retrospectively on 107 chronic hepatitis C(CHC)patients with 159 HCCs,was presented to the Hepatology Unit of Internal Medicine Department at Tanta University *** lesions were curatively treated by radiofrequency a.la.ion(RFA)and the surveillance of HCC recurrence was evaluated radiologically every 3 months for periods between 6 and 36 *** 107 subjects,70 were males and 37 were females,with mean age 50.4±9.4 *** patients were divided according to their glycemic state into the following three groups:Group I,which included 37 type 2 diabetic patients,with adequate maintenance of blood glucose,has 52 HCCs;Group II,which included 25 type 2 diabetic patients with inadequate maintenance of blood glucose,has 43 HCCs;and Group III,which included 45 euglycemic non-diabetic patients,has 64 ***:Our results showed that,there was signifi cant increase in recurrence rate in diabetic patients with inadequate maintenance of blood glucose(Group II)compared to those in Group I and Group III(Ped that,inadequate maintenance of blood glucose in diabetic patients was also a signifi cant predictor of poor ***:Inadequate maintenance of blood glucose in diabetic patients is a signifi cant risk factor for recurrence of HCC and for poor survival after curative RFA therapy in CHC patients.

New Polymer Syntheses Part 60: A Facile Synthetic Route to Polyamides Based on Thieno[2,3-b]thiophene and Their Corrosion Inhibition Behavior

Polyamides containing thieno[2,3-b]thiophene moiety were prepared via a simple polycondensation reaction of the diaminothieno[2,3-b]thiophene monomer la with different kinds of diacid chlorides （including oxalyl, adipoyl, sebacoyl, isophthaloyl, terephthaloyl, 4,4＇-azodibenzoyl, 3,3＇-azodibenzoyl, p-phenylene diacryloyl） in the presence of LiC1 and NMP as a solvent through lowtemperature solution polycondensation. The chemical structures of model compound and synthesized polyamides were confirmed by FTIR, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy （including 1 H-NMR and 13 C-NMR） and elemental analysis. In addition, the thermal stability, crystallinity structure and surface morphology of synthesized polyamides were characterized via thermogravametric analysis （TGA）, wide-angle X-ray diffraction analysis （WAXD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. Also, the corrosion inhibition behavior of selected examples ofpolyamides was investigated; the inhibitive effect of the investigated polymers for carbon steel in 1.0 mol＇L-1 HCI was studied using potentiodynamic polarization （PDP） and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） methods. PDP results displayed that the polyamides containing thieno[2,3-b]thiophene moiety can be as mixed-type inhibitors. The inhibition efficiency （P, %） was found to be in the range from 67.13% to 96.01%. There is an increase in P by the synthesized polymers in comparison to the starting monomer. The adsorption of these polymers was found to obey langmuir adsorption isotherm.

Objective:To assess whether infants of diabetic mothers [pre pregnancy diabetics(PPD)and gestational diabetics mellitus(GDM)] have compromised arachidonic and docosahexaenoic acids in their plasma and the relationship with deficiency of the same compounds in their ***:This study was conducted on 30 diabetic mothers(both PPD and GDM)and their *** healthy infants and their mothers with age and sex matched were included as *** infant(of diabetic and non diabetic mothers)were subjected to assessment of APGAR Scoring,thorough history taking and anthropometric *** profile components as well as polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA)were assessed in diabetic GDM and PPD and non diabetic mothers as well as in their ***:High-density lipoproteir(HDL)level was found to be significantly lower in diabetic mothers(specially those with PPD)compared to non diabetic ones,whereas no significant difference was found between babies of the two ***,the current study revealed that diabetic mothers(GDM and PPD)and their babies had significantly higher levels of PUFA precursors linoleic acids(la)and alpha linoleic acids(Ala).PUFA arachidonic acid(AA)and docosahexaenoic acids(Dha)were found to be significantly lower in diabetic mothers(GDM and PPD)compared to non diabetic mothers,and same results were found in the babies of the two ***:Neonates with diabetic mothers(both GDM and PPD)have highly compromised plasma levels of AA and Dha PUFA,which affects the child well being by far,and produces hazardous multi-system complications on the long run.

Background: Invasive measuring of LV end diastolic pressure (LVedP) provides reliable assessment of LV diastolic dysfunction, but its invasive nature limits its use in daily practice. Accurate noninvasive assessment of LV diastolic dysfunction is highly desirable, and the relationship between the degree of LVedP and LV torsion dynamics assessed by 2D speckle tracking is not clearly assessed;here in our study we aimed to assess the relation between the degree of LVedP and torsion dynamics of left ventricle. Methods: The study included sixty patients divided equally into 3 groups according to the degree of LVedP, group I: mmHg, group II: 12 - 18 mmHg, and group III: >18 mmHg;complete conventional echo-Doppler study includes also annular septal E wave peak velocity, E/E’ ratio and 2D-speckle tracking including parameters of LV global longitudinal strain (GLS), peak and time to peak of twist ratio (TR & TT respectively), peak and time to peak of untwist ratio (UTR & UTT respectively). Results: There was significant progressive decrease in GLS with progressive increase in LVedP from I to III. Untwist ratio increased in group II and decreased in significant degree in group III;Twist ratio did not differ with different grades of LVedP. la diameter and E/E’ increase from group I to III. The LVedP is negatively correlated with the UTR and GLS is positively correlated with UTT, E/E & la diameter. The E/E’ ratio is correlated negatively with the UTR, GLS and positively with LVedP & UTT and la diameter. Conclusions: Noninvasive assessment of LV torsion and untwisting was feasible in patients with various grades of LVedP and diastolic dysfunction;the peak untwist ratio increased in mild degree of increased LVedP then decreased again with more increase in LVedP;LVedP wasnegatively correlated with the peak untwist ratio and GLS was positively correlated with UTT and E/E’.
