The Shanghai Laser Electron Gamma Source(SLEGS)is a powerful gamma source that provides MeV gamma-ray beams for nuclear science and *** was developed as one of the 16 beamline stations in the Phase Ⅱ Project of the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation *** slant-scattering mode is for the first time systematically employed in laser Compton scattering at SLEGS to produce energy-tunable quasi-monoenergetic gamma-ray *** SLEGS officially completed its commissioning from July to December *** rays in the energy range of 0.25-21.7 MeV with a flux of 2.1×10^(4)-1.2×10^(7) photons/s and an energy spread of 2-15% were produced during the *** paper reports the results from commissioning the SLEGS beamline.

The effects of CeO_(2)doping on the magnetic properties and microstructure of 2:17 type SmCo magnets are *** the increase of CeO_(2)from 0 wt.%to 3 wt.%,the coercivity of the magnets increases from 22.22 kOe to over 29.37 kOe,which is an increase of more than 30%.When the doping content is lower than 1 wt.%,the remanence and magnetic energy product of the magnets remain almost *** decrease sharply as the doping concentration further *** CeO_(2)doping,the oxide content in the magnet increases significantly and the Ce element is uniformly distributed in the *** the magnetic domains reveals that doping with CeO_(2)can refine the magnetic domains and make the magnetic domain wall more stable,resulting in a significant increase in the coercivity of the magnets.

heart failure(HF),leading as one of the main causes of mortality,has become a serious public health issue with high prevalence around the *** cardiomyocyte(CM)metabolomics promises to revolutionize the understanding of HF pathogenesis since the metabolic remodeling in the human hearts plays a vital role in the disease ***,current metabolic analysis is often limited by the dynamic features of metabolites and the critical needs for high-quality isolated ***,high-quality CMs were directly isolated from transgenic HF mice biopsies and further employed in the cellular metabolic *** lipids landscape in individual CMs was profiled with a delayed extraction mode in time-of-flight secondary ion mass *** metabolic signatures were identified to distinguish HF CMs from the control subjects,presenting as possible single-cell *** spatial distributions of these signatures were imaged in single cells,and those were further found to be strongly associated with lipoprotein metabolism,transmembrane transport,and signal *** together,we systematically studied the lipid metabolism of single CMs with a mass spectrometry imaging method,which directly benefited the identification of HF-associated signatures and a deeper understanding of HF-related metabolic pathways.

The basic premise of high yield in rice is to improve leaf photosynthetic efficiency and coordinate the sourcesink relationship in rice plants. Quantitative trait loci （QTLs） related to morphological traits and chlorophyll content of rice leaves were detected at the stages of heading to maturity, and a major QTL （qLSCHL4） related to flag leaf shape and chlorophyll content was detected at both stages in recombinant inbred lines constructed using the indica rice cultivar 93-11 and the japonica rice cultivar Nipponbare. Map-based cloning and expression analysis showed that LSCHL4 is allelic to NAL1, a gene previously reported in narrow leaf mutant of rice. Overexpression lines transformed with vector carrying LSCHL4 from Nipponbare and a near-isogenic line of 93-11 （NIL-9311） had significantly increased leaf chlorophyll content, enlarged flag leaf size, and improved panicle type. The average yield of NIL-9311 was 18.70% higher than that of 93-11. These results indicate that LSCHL4 had a pleiotropic function. Exploring and pyramiding more high-yield alleles resem- bling LSCHL4 for super rice breeding provides an effective way to achieve new breakthroughs in raising rice yield and generate new ideas for solving the problem of global food safety.

Numerous studies were published in the last two decades to evaluate and project the permafrost changes in its thermal state,mainly based on the soil temperature datasets from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP),and discuss the impacts of permafrost changes on regional hydrological,ecological and climatic systems and even carbon ***,limited monitored soil temperature data are available to validate the CMIP outputs,resulting in the over-projection of future permafrost changes in CMIP3 and ***,future permafrost changes in CMIP6,particularly over the QinghaieTibet Plateau(QTP),where permafrost covers more than 40%of its territory,are still un*** address this gap,we evaluated and calibrated the monthly ground surface temperature(GST;5 cm below the ground surface),which was often used as the upper boundary to simulate and project permafrost changes derived from 19 CMIP6 Earth System Models(ESMs)against in situ measurements over the *** generated the monthly GST series from 1900 to 2014 for five sites based on the linear calibration models and validated them through the three other sites using the same calibration *** showed that all of the ESMs could capture the dynamics of in situ GST with high correlations(r>0.90).However,large errors were detected with a broad range of centred root-mean-square errors(1.14-4.98℃).The Top 5 model ensembles(MME5)performed better than most individual ESMs and averaged multi-model ensembles(MME19).The calibrated GST performed better than the GST obtained from *** annual and seasonal GSTs exhibited warming trends with an average annual rate of 0.04℃ per decade in the annual *** average seasonal warming rate was highest in winter and spring and lowest in *** reconstructed GST data series could be used to simulate the long-term permafrost temperature over the QTP.

Diosgenin, a steroidal sapogenin, obtained from Trigonella foenum-graecum, Dioscorea, and Rhizoma polgonati, has shown high potential and interest in the treatment of various cancers, such as oral squamous cell carcinoma, laryngeal cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer, lung cancer, cervical cancer, prostate cancer, glioma, and leukemia. This article aims to provide an overview of the in vivo, in vitro,and clinical studies reporting the diosgenin’s anticancer effects. Preclinical studies have shown promising effects of diosgenin on inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and growth, promoting apoptosis, inducing differentiation and autophagy, inhibiting tumor cell metastasis and invasion, blocking cell cycle, regulating immunity and improving gut microbiome. Clinical investigations have revealed clinical dosage and safety property of diosgenin. Furthermore, in order to improve the biological activity and bioavailability of diosgenin, this review focuses on the development of diosgenin nano drug carriers, combined drugs and the diosgenin derivatives. However, further designed trials are needed to unravel the diosgenin’s deficiencies in clinical application.

Silver indium cadmium(Ag–In–Cd) control rod is widely used in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants,and it is continuously consumed in a high neutron flux environment. The mass ratio of ^(107)Ag in the Ag–In–Cd control rod is 41.44%. To accurately calculate the consumption value of the control rod, a reliable neutron reaction cross section of the ^(107)Ag is required. Meanwhile,^(107)Ag is also an important weak r nucleus. Thus, the cross sections for neutron induced interactions with ^(107)Ag are very important both in nuclear energy and nuclear astrophysics. The(n, γ) cross section of ^(107)Ag has been measured in the energy range of 1–60 eV using a back streaming white neutron beam line at China spallation neutron source. The resonance parameters are extracted by an R-matrix code. All the cross section of ^(107)Ag and resonance parameters are given in this paper as datasets. In December 2019,the corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by novel coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2)emerged in Wuhan,China and rapidly spread *** information on clinical features and immunological profile of COVID-19 in *** clinical features and treatment outcomes of twelve paediatric patients confirmed as COVID-19 were *** immunological features of children patients was investigated and compared with twenty adult *** median age was 14.5-years(range from 0.64 to 17),and six of the patients were *** average incubation period was 8 ***,cough(9/12,75%)and fever(7/12,58.3%)were the most common *** patients(33.3%)had diarrhea during the *** to the immune profile,children had higher amount of total T cell,CD8t T cell and B cell but lower CRP levels than adults(Phe typical radiological findings on chest CT *** patients received antiviral and symptomatic treatment and the symptom relieved in 3e4 days after admitted to *** paediatric patients showed mild symptom but with longer incubation *** infected with SARS-CoV-2 had different immune profile with higher T cell amount and low inflammatory factors level,which might ascribed to the mild clinical *** advise that nucleic acid test or examination of serum IgM/IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 should be taken for children with exposure history regardless of clinical symptom.
