Nocardiosis manifests as an opportunistic infection,primarily affecting individuals who are immunocompromised and susceptible to the *** present a case study of one patient with nephrotic syndrome and membranous nephropathy,who underwent treatment with prednisone and cyclosporine in *** early 2017,the patient was diagnosed with a"fungal infection"and discontinued the use of *** one month of anti-infection therapy,a cranial magnetic resonance imaging scan showed multiple abscesses in the right temporal *** diagnosis of nocardiosis was confirmed based on the presence of metastatic abscess masses,multiple lung and brain lesions,and a positive culture of Nocardia in the *** changed the anti-infection therapy to a combination of trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole(TMP-SMX),minocycline,and ***,the patient experienced a sudden cardiac arrest and subsequently recovered after cardiopulmonary *** the five-month follow-up period following the discharge,the patient displayed an enhanced nutritional status and stable renal *** focal infection ultimately resolved during the subsequent three ***-infection caused by Nocardia should be considered in immunocompromised patients,and TMP-SMX is the preferred initial therapy;however,because of the high mortality rate,a long-term combination therapy with imipenem,cefotaxime,amikacin,and TMP-SMX is suggested.

Interactive effect of thermal aging and proton irradiation on microstructural evolution and hardening ofδ-ferrite in 308L stainless steel weld metal

In the harsh service environment of high temperature and intense neutron irradiation in water-cooled nuclear reactors,the austenitic stainless steel weld overlay cladding on the inner surface of the reactor pressure vessel suffers from thermal aging and irradiation damage simultaneously,which can induce microstructural evolution and hardening of the *** it is quite difficult to achieve this simul-taneous process out of the pile,two kinds of combined experiments,i.e.,post-irradiation thermal aging and post-aging irradiation were performed on 308 L stainless steel weld metals in this *** interactive effect of thermal aging and proton irradiation on microstructural evolution and hardening ofδ-ferrite in 308 L weld metal was investigated by combining atom probe tomography,transmission elec-tron microscopy and nanoindentation *** results revealed that thermal aging could eliminate the dislocation loops induced by irradiation and affect the phase transition process by accelerating spinodal decomposition and G-phase precipitation,thus enhancing hardening of irradiatedδ-*** the effect of irradiation on the microstructure and hardening of thermally agedδ-ferrite,however,intensive collision cascades can intensify G-phase precipitation and dislocation loop formation but decrease spinodal decomposition,leading to a limited effect on hardening of thermally agedδ-***,the interaction of thermal aging and irradiation can promote G-phase ***,the interaction can causeδ-ferrite hardening,which is mainly influenced by spinodal decomposition,followed by G-phase and dislocation loops,where spinodal decomposition and G-phase cause hardening by inducing strain fields.

Introducing heavy halogen atoms into organic small molecules is a practical strategy for efficient singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))***,bromine or iodine atoms are introduced on the aza-borondipyrromethene(aza-BODIPY)core,rather than on the periphery aryl rings for efficient~1O_(2) ***,an aza-BODIPY dye NBDPBr with unexpected bromination on the periphery aryl rings was synthesized for photoacoustic(PA)imaging-guided synergistic photothermal therapy(PTT)and photodynamic therapy(PDT)in tumor *** to unexcepted bromination at the periphery aryl rings,NBDPBr demonstrated an outstanding singlet oxygen quantum yield(Φ_(Δ))of 66% which was superior to similar brominated photosensitizers previously *** encapsulation with amphiphilic polymer F-127,hydrophilic NBDPBr nanoparticles(NPs)were fabricated and exhibited an excellent photothermal conversion efficiency(η)of 43.0% under 660 nm *** vivo PA imaging results demonstrated that NBDPBr NPs could specifically accumulate at tumor sites and realized the maximum tumor retention at 7 h *** the in vitro and in vivo results indicated the significant potence of NBDPBr with unexpected bis-bromination for PA imaging-guided synergetic PDT/PTT.

An Improved Golden Jackal Optimization Algorithm Based on Multi-strategy Mixing for Solving Engineering Optimization Problems

The intricate correlation between multiple degrees of freedom and physical properties is a fascinating area in solid state chemistry and condensed matter ***,we report a quantum-magnetic system BaNi_(2)V_(2)O_(8)(BNVO),in which the spin correlation was modulated by unusual oxidation state,leading to different magnetic *** BNVO was modified with topochemical reduction(TR)to yield TR-BNVO with partially reduced valance state of Ni^(+)in the two-dimensional NiO_(6)-honeycomb ***,the antiferromagnetic order is suppressed by the introduction of locally interposed Ni^(+)and oxygen vacancies,resulting in a ferromagnetic ground state with the transition temperature up to 710 K.A positive magnetoresistance(7.5%)was observed in the TR-BNVO at 40 K under 7 *** findings show that topological reduction is a powerful approach to engineer low-dimensional materials and accelerate the discovery of new quantum magnetism.

A simple and efficient in planta transformation method based on the active regeneration capacity of plants

Plant genetic transformation strategies serve as essential tools for the genetic engineering and advanced molecular breeding of ***,the complicated operational protocols and low efficiency of cur-rent transformation strategies restrict the genetic modification of most plant *** paper de-scribes the development of the regenerative activity–dependent in planta injection delivery(RAPID)method based on the active regeneration capacity of *** this method,Agrobacterium tumefaciens is delivered to plant meristems via injection to induce transfected nascent *** transgenic plants can be obtained by subsequent vegetative propagation of the positive nascent *** method was successfully used for transformation of plants with strong regeneration capacity,including different genotypes of sweet potato(Ipomoea batatas),potato(Solanum tuberosum),and bayhops(Ipo-moea pes-caprae).Compared with traditional transformation methods,RAPID has a much higher trans-formation efficiency and shorter duration,and it does not require tissue culture *** RAPID method therefore overcomes the limitations of traditional methods to enable rapid in planta transformation and can be potentially applied to a wide range of plant species that are capable of active regeneration.

Salicylic acid(SA),a vital endogenous hormone,plays a crucial role in plant growth and the response to abiotic and biotic *** synthase(ICS)and phenylalanine ammonia lyase(PAL)are critical rate-limiting enzymes for SA *** head blight(FHB)seriously threatens the safety of wheat production,but increasing the content of SA can enhance FHB ***,the pathway of SA synthesis and regulation in wheat remains *** this study,three wheat ICS(TaICSA,TaICSB,and TaICSD)were identified,and their functions were validated in vitro for isomerizing chorismate to *** mutation of one or two homoeoalleles of TaICSA,TaICSB,and TaICSD in the wheat variety‘Cadenza’reduced SA levels under ultraviolet treatment and Fusarium graminearum infection,further enhancing sensitivity to *** of TaICSA can significantly enhance SA levels and resistance to *** further study SA synthesis pathways in wheat and avoid interference with pathogenicity related genes,the leaves of wild-type Cadenza and different TaICS mutant lines were subjected to ultraviolet treatment for transcriptomic *** results showed that 37 PALs might be involved in endogenous SA synthesis,and 82 WRKY and MYB family transcription factors may regulate the expression of ICS and *** results were further confirmed by *** conclusion,this study expands our knowledge of SA biosynthesis and identifies TaICSA,as well as several additional candidate genes that encode transcription factors for regulating endogenous SA levels,as part of an efficient strategy for enhancing FHB resistance in wheat.

Application of psychological intervention in intensive care unit nursing for patients with severe acute pancreatitis

BACKGROUND Severe acute pancreatitis(SAP)is a familiar critical disease in the intensive care unit(ICU)*** staff are important spiritual pillars during the treatment of patients,and in addition to routine nursing,more attention needs be paid to the patient’s psychological *** To investigate the effects of psychological intervention in ICU patients with *** One hundred ICU patients with SAP were hospitalized in the authors’hospital between 2020 and 2023 were selected,and divided into observation and control groups per the hospitalization *** control and observation groups received routine nursing and psychological interventions,*** groups are being compared,using the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Determination Scale(SDS),Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation(APACHE)Ⅱ,and 36-item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36)scores;nursing satisfaction of patients;ICU care duration;length of stay;hospitalization expenses;and the incidence of *** After nursing,the SDS,SAS,and APACHEⅡ scores in the experimental group were significantly lower than in the control group(P<0.05).The SF-36 scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of patients in the experimental group was 94.5%,considerably higher than that of 75.6% in the control group(P<0.05).The ICU care duration,length of stay,and hospitalization expenses in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,and the incidence of complications was lower(P<0.05).CONCLUSION For patients with SAP,the implementation of standardized psychological intervention measures can effectively alleviate adverse psychological conditions.
