《再见,哥伦布》是犹太裔美国作家菲利普·罗斯的第一部作品。罗斯通过犹太裔情侣尼尔和布伦达的失败恋情揭露了20世纪50年代美国犹太居民生活中存在“矛盾的共鸣之音”,两人分手的背后隐藏着深刻的伦理必然:尼尔所代表的年轻一代犹太知识分子阶层,虽然对犹太传统道德存在诸多看法,但仍认为秉持道德传统是在美国安身立命的基础;布伦达所代表的犹太富裕阶层,则选择完全放弃犹太身份及其相应的道德传统。罗斯通过尼尔与布伦达在恋爱过程中各自做出的伦理选择,表达了自己对保持少数族裔身份问题的伦理思考。

超声消除电缆火灾烟雾的实验研究

声波团聚技术是利用高强声场的作用使颗粒物发生相对运动从而碰撞并凝聚,大幅减少悬浮的颗粒物。当今城市地下电缆一旦发生火灾将造成巨大的生命及财产损失。在火场应用声波团聚技术能够大幅提高火场的能见度,有助于人员逃生。文章研究了超声场下消除地下电缆火灾烟雾的效果。首先设计了一款频率为18 kHz的气介式换能器,并对其进行模态分析;随后加工了声源,测试其发声效果。结果表明,换能器在开放空间及团聚室内声压级最高分别可达154.1 dB及158.7 dB。开放空间下输入功率越高、越靠近圆盘中心,声压级越高;团聚室内中间监测点处由于壁面及底部反射作用声压级最高。团聚实验结果表明,在声压级为155 dB、初始透光率为8%时,对于液相烟雾及电缆烟雾,分别在5、15 s内透光率达到60%,这表明在超声场下,团聚效果显著,且团聚效果随声压级的增大而增大。

Study on aerosol agglomeration using the airborne ultrasonic transducer

Acoustic agglomeration technology use high-intensity acoustic field to make aerosol particles collide and condense rapidly. Existing studies have shown that 70%–90% of fine particles can be eliminated within minutes using compression drives and air-jet generators. Currently, there are limitations to the sound sources used. In this paper, an airborne ultrasonic transducer with a resonant frequency of 15 kHz is designed, followed by the corresponding numerical simulation and experiments for the evaluation of the vibration modal and sound pressure field. The sound pressure levels (SPL) of the open space and the agglomeration chamber can reach 150 dB and 156 dB, respectively. The agglomeration effect of water droplets, liquid phase smoke, solid phase smoke and mixed smoke is experimentally investigated, and the light transmittance rapidly increases from 8% to 60% within 4 s, 8 s, 5 s and 6 s, respectively. Agglomeration is also effective in the high-frequency range, and we infer that the acoustic wake effect is the predominant mechanism. The elimination effect is promoted with the increasing of SPL until the corresponding secondary acoustic effect is enhanced. Moreover, the agglomeration rate of higher concentration aerosol is significantly better than that of diluted aerosols in ultrasonic agglomeration process.

Currently,as the electromagnetic(EM)environment becomes increasingly complex,single-function EM materials can hardly resist the increasing electromagnetic interference(EMI),and there is an urgent need to develop multifunctional EM *** this work,multifunctional WSe_(2)/Co_(3)C was prepared by simple hydrothermal *** dielectric performance and EM response were *** absorption,shielding performance,and energy conversion devices were *** tailoring the loading content,WSe_(2)/Co_(3)C can switch between EM absorption and EMI *** maximum shielding effectiveness(SE)of WSe_(2)/Co_(3)C reached 36 dB,and high reflection loss(RL)of-60.28 dB and wide effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 6.16 GHz can be obtained at low *** multiple EM attenuation mechanisms brought by the combination of two-dimensional(2D)WSe_(2) and magnetic Co_(3)C are considered to be the main reason for the enhanced EM attenuation *** WSe_(2)/Co_(3)C composite provides a viable candidate for developing multifunctional EM materials in 2–18 GHz.

Universal insertion of molecules in ionic compounds under pressure

Using first-principles calculations and crystal structure search methods, we found that many covalently bonded molecules such as H2, N2, CO2, NH3, H2O and CH4may react with NaC l, a prototype ionic solid,and form stable compounds under pressure while retaining their molecular structure. These molecules,despite whether they are homonuclear or heteronuclear, polar or non-polar, small or large, do not show strong chemical interactions with surrounding Na and Cl ions. In contrast, the most stable molecule among all examples, N2, is found to transform into cyclo-N5-anions while reacting with NaC l under high pressures. It provides a new route to synthesize pentazolates, which are promising green energy materials with high energy density. Our work demonstrates a unique and universal hybridization propensity of covalently bonded molecules and solid compounds under pressure. This surprising miscibility suggests possible mixing regions between the molecular and rock layers in the interiors of large planets.

Assessment of heavy metal pollution in Laizhou Bay(China)using the ecological risk index and the integrated biomarker response of the goby Acanthogobius ommaturus

We used the Integrated Biological Responses version 2(IBRv2)method to evaluate the biological eff ects of heavy metals in the sediments in Laizhou Bay,China on the benthic goby Acanthogobius *** December 2018,gobies and sediments were collected from 15 *** measured the activities of defense enzymes and the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA)and metallothionein(MT)in the goby liver as well as the levels of heavy metals in the sediments and goby muscle *** of the heavy metal concentrations in sediment at each station were below the Class I criteria set by Chinese Standards for Marine Sediment Quality,and the Håkanson ecological risk index suggested low risk for the heavy *** found that *** could eff ectively accumulate mercury,cadmium,arsenic,and zinc and that the contents of MT and MDA and the activities of glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase were suitable biomarkers of heavy metal pollution in this *** IBRv2 method integrated these four biomarkers and discriminated stations according to heavy metal *** IBRv2 values suggested more adverse eff ects in gobies,corroborating more serious heavy metal *** stations with high IBRv2 values and high contents of heavy metals were mainly distributed in the west and northeast parts of the *** results show that the IBRv2 approach is a feasible strategy for assessing heavy metal pollution through biological response and biological status and that it can be implemented for environmental monitoring in Laizhou Bay.
