Introduction:Acrodermatitis continua of Hallopeau(ACH)is an uncommon chronic cutaneous *** to date,its treatment is still difficult and frustrating although various topical and systemic agents alone or in different combinations have been tried with variable ***,we report two cases of ACH successfully treated with calcipotriol/betamethasone *** presentation:Two cases of ACH were characterized by thumb involvement alone and showed an excellent response to calcipotriol/betamethasone ointment(1 g:calcipotriol 50µg and betamethasone 0.5 mg).Discussion:Treatment of ACH is challenging for *** systemic therapies and topical drugs have been applied,however,no universally effective treatment regimen has yet been established for long-lasting *** of calcipotriol and betamethasone is more effective in treating psoriasis than the individual components alone,and the current 2 cases with ACH were reported to be treated successfully by the calcipotriol/betamethasone ***:Topical calcipotriol/betamethasone compound is an optional agent for the treatment of ACH with a novel effect.

The use of next-generation probiotics （NGP） in pigs for combating diseases has been subject to limited *** we explored the potential of a well-known NGP candidate Akkermansia muciniphila targeting pig gut *** the first screening experiment,we found that the abundance of *** peaked at 14 d old but decreased at weaning （21 d old;P<0.05）,suggesting the weaning period may be an effective window for *** *** that,48 crossbred weaned pigs at 28 d old were randomly assigned to five groups:control （CON）,high/low live *** （HA/LA）,and high/low heatkilled *** （HIA/LIA）.From 1 to 28 d old,the CON group received gastric infusion of anaerobic sterile saline every other day;the HA and LA groups were gavaged every other day with 1×1010CFU/5 m L and 5×10～8CFU/5 mL live ***,respectively;and the HIA and LIA groups were gavaged every other day with 1×1010CFU/5 mL and 5×10～8CFU/5 mL heat-killed ***,*** d 29,pigs in the CON group were randomly and equally divided into two groups,one of which was named the enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli （ETEC） group,and all groups except CON received a 5-d ETEC *** supplementation of *** numerically reduced the diarrhea rate of weaned pigs compared to the pigs that only received the ETEC challenge （P=0.57）,but the LIA group had a higher diarrhea rate than the CON group （P<0.05）.Consistent with this,the supplementation of *** improved the small intestinal morphology and structure,proportion of CD4+T lymphocytes in the blood,as well as the expression of genes related to intestinal barrier and antioxidant indices of pigs with ETEC challenge,especially for the LA group （P<0.05）.Meanwhile,*** supplementation reduced the expression of ETEC virulence factor genes in the ileum and colon of pigs challenged by ETEC （P<0.05）.Therefore,*** may protect the intestinal health of weaned piglets from damage caused by

目的:观察甲状腺机能亢进(甲亢)患者与健康人大陵、神门、内关穴伏安特性的变化规律。方法:应用智能型穴位伏安特性检测仪检测56例甲亢患者与40名健康人大陵、神门、内关穴的伏安曲线,并进行比较分析。结果:甲亢患者左大陵穴的惯性面积显著大于健康人(P<0.01),甲亢患者右大陵穴的增、减程伏安面积均显著小于健康人(P<0.01)。甲亢患者左神门穴减程伏安面积和右神门穴的增程伏安面积显著小于健康人(P<0.01)。甲亢患者左内关穴减程伏安面积小于健康人(P<0.05)。结论:甲亢患者穴位的伏安特性较健康人发生变化,且对该疾病的反映主要体现在大陵穴。

Objective: To follow up the participants of the randomized clinical trial "Efficacy and Safety of Niaoduqing Particles(尿毒清颗粒) for Delaying Moderate-to-Severe Renal Dysfunction", and assess the long-term effects of Niaoduqing Particles on delaying the progression of renal dysfunction. Methods: Participants, who had previously been randomly assigned to receive Niaoduqing Particles or placebo for 24 weeks(146 cases in each group), were invited to follow-up and all were administered Niaoduqing Particles 5 g thrice daily and 10 g before bedtime for 24 weeks. The primary endpoints were changes in baseline serum creatinine(Scr) and estimated glomerular filtration rate(e GFR) after completion of the open-label treatment period. Results: After the double-blind period, the median(interquartile range) changes in Scr were 1.1(–13.0–24.1) and 11.7(–2.6–42.9) μmol/L for the Niaoduqing Particle and placebo groups, respectively(P=0.008), and the median changes in e GFRs were –0.2(–4.3–2.7) and –2.21(–5.7–0.8) mL·min^(-1)·1.73 m^(-2), respectively(P=0.016). There were significant differences in the double-blind period changes in renal function between groups. After the open-label period, the median changes in Scr were 9.0(–10.0–41.9) and 17.5(–6.0–50.0) μmol/L for the Niaoduqing Particle and placebo groups according to baseline grouping, respectively(P=0.214), and the median changes in eGFRs were –2.3(–6.4–1.9) and –3.7(–7.5–1.1) mL·min^(-1)·1.73 m^(-2), respectively(P=0.134). There were no statistical differences in the open-label period changes in renal function between groups. The eGFR reduction of participants who accepted Niaoduqing Particle treatment for 48 weeks was projected to 2.5 m L·min^(-1)·1.73 m(-2) per year. Conclusions: Niaoduqing Particles appear to have long-term efficacy for patients with moderate-to-severe renal dysfunction. Although there was no statistical difference, the early use of Niaoduqing Paticles seems to ameliorate the worsening of renal function.

Background： Chronic kidney disease （CKD） with moderate-to-severe renal dysfunction usually exhibits an irreversible course, and available treatments for delaying the progression to end-stage renal disease are limited. This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of the traditional Chinese medicine, Niaoduqing particles, for delaying renal dysfunction in patients with stage 3b-4 ***： The present study was a prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, naulticentcr clinical trial. Frorn May 2013 to December 2013,300 CKD patients with an estimated glomerular filtration rate （eGFR） between 20 and 45 ml ＂rain ~＂ 1.73 m 2, aged 18-70 years were recruited from 22 hospitals in 11 Chinese provinces. Patients were randomized in a 1：1 ratio to either a test group, which was administered Niaoduqing particles 5 g thrice daily and 10 g before bedtime for 24 weeks, or a control group, which was administered a placebo using the same methods. The primary endpoints were changes in baseline serum creatinine （Scr） and eGFR after completion of treatment. The primary endpoints were analyzed using Student＇s t-test or Wilcoxon＇s rank-sum test. The present study reported results based on an intention-to-treat （ITT） analysis. Results： A total of 292 participants underwent the ITT analysis. At 24 weeks, the median （interquartile range） change in Scr was 1.1 （-13.0-24.1） and 11.7 （-2.6-42.9） p, mol/L for the test and control groups, respectively （Z = 2.642, P = 0.008）, and the median change in eGFR was -0.2 （-4.3-2.7） and -2.2 （-5.7-0.8） ***-1·1.73 m-2, respectively （Z = -2.408, P = 0.016）. There were no significant differences in adverse events between the groups. Conclusions： Niaoduqing particles safely and effectively delayed CKD progression in patients with stage 3b-4 CKD. This traditional Chinese medicine may be a promising alternative medication for patients with moderate-to-severe renal dysfunction.

目的探讨左侧星状神经节(left stellate ganglion,LSG)吗啡后处理在心肌梗死(myocardial infarction,MI)后重塑中的调控作用。方法SD大鼠随机分为4组:假手术组(Sham组)、心肌梗死组(MI组)、MI+生理盐水组(Control组)和MI+吗啡后处理组(MI+Morphine组)。结扎冠状动脉左前降支构建大鼠心肌梗死(myocardial infarction,MI)模型,随后采用经皮后入路法给予吗啡到LSG周围。4周后超声检测大鼠心功能变化;Masson染色检测纤维化改变;Western blot检测CollagenⅠ、CollagenⅢ蛋白表达;RT-qPCR检测ANP和BNP的mRNA表达;免疫荧光检测μ阿片受体(μopioid receptor,μOR)在LSG的表达;ELISA法检测血浆和心肌组织中儿茶酚胺浓度。结果与Sham组相比,MI组大鼠心功能明显受损,心肌组织呈现纤维化改变,血浆和心肌组织中儿茶酚胺浓度明显增高。与Control组相比,MI+Morphine组减少MI后大鼠心肌纤维化胶原沉积,抑制心肌组织中ANP和BNP的表达,降低儿茶酚胺的浓度,改善MI大鼠的心功能。免疫荧光结果显示μOR在MI后LSG中有表达,并且在吗啡后处理后表达增高。结论本研究表明,LSG吗啡后处理在MI后重塑中有心肌保护作用,其机制可能与吗啡激动LSG中μOR,减少交感神经末梢儿茶酚胺释放有关。

Metasurfaces,composed of planar arrays of intricately designed meta-atom structures,possess remarkable capabilities in controlling electromagnetic waves in various ways.A critical aspect of metasurface design involves selecting suitable meta-atoms to achieve target functionalities such as phase retardation,amplitude modulation,and polarization *** design processes often involve extensive parameter sweeping,a laborious and computationally intensive task heavily reliant on designer expertise and ***,we present an efficient genetic algorithm assisted meta-atom optimization method for high-performance metasurface optics,which is compatible to both single-and multiobjective device design *** first employ the method for a single-objective design task and implement a high-efficiency Pancharatnam-Berry phase based metalens with an average focusing efficiency exceeding 80%in the visible *** then employ the method for a dual-objective metasurface design task and construct an efficient spin-multiplexed structural beam *** device is capable of generating zeroth-order and first-order Bessel beams respectively under right-handed and left-handed circular polarized illumination,with associated generation efficiencies surpassing 88%.Finally,we implement a wavelength and spin co-multiplexed four-channel metahologram capable of projecting two spin-multiplexed holographic images under each operational wavelength,with efficiencies over 50%.Our work offers a streamlined and easy-to-implement approach to meta-atom design and optimization,empowering designers to create diverse high-performance and multifunctional metasurface optics.

PIF4 interacts with ABI4 to serve as a transcriptional activator complex to promote seed dormancy by enhancing ABA biosynthesis and signaling

Transcriptional regulation plays a key role in the control of seed dormancy,and many transcription factors(TFs)have been ***,the mechanisms underlying the interactions between different TFs within a transcriptional complex regulating seed dormancy remain largely ***,we showed that TF PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTOR4(PIF4)physically interacted with the abscisic acid(ABA)signaling responsive TF ABSCISIC ACID INSENSITIVE4(ABI4)to act as a transcriptional complex to promote ABA biosynthesis and signaling,finally deepening primary seed *** pif4 and abi4 single mutants exhibited a decreased primary seed dormancy phenotype,with a synergistic effect in the pif4/abi4 double ***4 binds to ABI4 to form a heterodimer,and ABI4 stabilizes PIF4 at the protein level,whereas PIF4 does not affect the protein stabilization of ***,both TFs independently and synergistically promoted the expression of ABI4 and NCED6,a key gene for ABA *** genetic evidence is also consistent with the phenotypic,physiological and biochemical analysis ***,this study revealed a transcriptional regulatory cascade in which the PIF4–ABI4 transcriptional activator complex synergistically enhanced seed dormancy by facilitating ABA biosynthesis and signaling.
