Formation mechanism of Fe-based amorphous powders produced by spark erosion

Spark erosion is a convenient,flexible,and low-cost method to quickly produce fine powders of metals,alloys,and semiconductors in size ranging from nearly a hundred micrometers to submicrometer by repetitive spark *** to the complexity of the powder-forming journey,normally accompanied by high temperature,high pressure,decomposition,diffusion and rapid quenching caused by discharge plasma,the mechanisms of powder formation and possible contaminant infiltration are still controversial,posing a significant challenge to control particle size and chemical composition of the powder produced by this *** this study,Fe-based amorphous powders in different particle-size distributions with high sphericity were fabricated by spark erosion under different discharge-energy *** max-imum particle size of the resultant powders can be correlated with discharge parameters,crater depth,and crater radius,respectively.A multi-ring-breakup model is proposed to reveal the particle-size distribution of the powder formed from the electrode melt under a single-pulse ***,a dielectric-element infiltration model is provided to quantitatively evaluate the infiltration mass ratio of the contaminant elements,stemming from the decomposed products of dielectric liquid,in the resultant powder with different particle *** models verified through the experimental data are significant for the development of high-performance fine Fe-based amorphous powder with controlled particle size and chemical composition.

The integer least squares(ILS)estimation is commonly used for carrier phase ambiguity resolution(AR).More recently,the best integer equivariant(BIE)estimation has also attracted an attention for complex application scenarios,which exhibits higher reliability by a weighted fusion of integer ***,traditional BIE estimation with Gaussian distribution(GBIE)faces challenges in fully utilizing the advantages of BIE for urban low-cost positioning,mainly due to the presence of outliers and unmodeled *** this end,an improved BIE estimation method with Laplacian distribution(LBIE)is proposed,and several key issues are discussed,including the weight function of LBIE,determination of the candidates included based on the OIA test,and derivation of the variance of LBIE solutions for reliability *** results show that the proposed LBIE method has the positioning accuracy similar to the BIE using multivariate t-distribution(TBIE),and significantly outperforms the ILS-PAR and GBIE *** an urban expressway test with a Huawei mate40 smartphone,the LBIE method has positioning errors of less than 0.5 m in three directions and obtains over 50%improvements compared to the ILS-PAR and GBIE *** an urban canyon test with a low-cost receiver STA8100 produced by STMicroelectronics,the positioning accuracy of LBIE in three directions is 0.112 m,0.107 m,and 0.252 m,respectively,with improvements of 17.6%,27.2%,and 26.1%compared to GBIE,and 23.3%,28.2%,and 30.6%compared to ***,its computational time increases by 30–40%compared to ILS-PAR and is approximately half of that using TBIE.

The suspension state of crystals in the crystallizer is one of the important indicators for evaluating the adaptability of the *** study adopted the Euler-Eulerian two-fluid model to simulate and analyze the fluid motion of solid-liquid two-phase flow in the industrial-grade DTB crystallization kettle,as well as the phase suspension distribution of crystal *** main influencing factors investigated are:the heat transfer effect,the height of the bottom of the crystallizer,the number and position of the stirring paddle,crystal size and crystal volume *** on the research of Euler-Eulerian method to simulate fluids,the Euler-Lagrangian method was further used to simulate the motion state of particle phases with different particle sizes in the *** was found that the designed DTB crystallizer has good recycle mixing *** particles can be mixed evenly during the operation,which can fully realize the solid-liquid mixing and suspension effect of the drug under study.

To explore the research status on mechanism of the skid-resistance for asphalt pavement, the related achievements of the rubber friction, the tire–road contact, and the influence factors were reviewed. The rubber friction was reviewed from the mechanism and rubber friction model. The tire-road contact was studied from the modeling methods, the evaluation methods, and the skid-resistance mechanisms at different conditions. The influence factors of skid-resistance were summarized from different designing processes. This review showed that the appropriate contact or evaluation model should be selected according to the required parameters. Although the finite element method is widely used, the accuracy of the model, the boundary conditions, and the load cases need to be further improved. The optimized aggregates and asphalt binders, reasonable gradation, reasonable geometric design, and strict construction quality control are necessary for good initial skid-resistance. Pavement texture as an important factor affecting skid-resistance should be considered in pavement gradation design, especially for wearing layer technology.

Composite Li metal anodes based on three-dimensional(3D) porous frameworks have been considered as an effective material for achieving stable Li metal batteries with high energy ***,uneven Li deposition behavior still occurs at the top of 3D frameworks owing to the local accumulation of Li *** promote uniform Li deposition without top dendrite growth,herein,a layered multifunctional framework based on oxidation-treated polyacrylonitrile(OPAN) and metal-organic framework(MOF) derivatives was proposed for rationally regulating the distribution of Li ions flux,nucleation sites,and electrical *** from these merits,the OPAN/carbon nano fiber-MOF(CMOF) composite framework demonstrated a reversible Li plating/stripping behavior for 500 cycles with a stable Coulombic efficiency of around 99.0% at the current density of 2 ma/cm~***,such a Li composite anode exhibited a superior cycle lifespan of over 1300 h under a low polarized voltage of 18 mV in symmetrical *** the Li composite anode was paired with LiFePO_(4)(LFP) cathode,the obtained full cell exhibited a stable cycling over 500 ***,the COMSOL Multiphysics simulation was conducted to reveal the effects on homogeneous Li ions distribution derived from the above-mentioned OPAN/CMOF framework and electrical insulation/conduction *** electrochemical and simulated results shed light on the difficulties of designing stable and safe Li metal anode via optimizing the 3D frameworks.

Convenient non-invasive flow monitoring would facilitate the operation and control in microfluidic chips,but is challenging due to the small space of microchannels and complex operation required in traditional optical *** this work,we propose a novel non-invasive strategy to probe microfluidic flows via streaming potential *** sealing one side of the microchannel with a piece of hydrogel film,streaming potential inside the channel can be clearly detected by electrodes at outer surface of the hydrogel due to ion diffusion in the *** is detected without sensors contacting with the internal ***,the electrodes shape like a tiny probe,which can move around mapping the flow distribution in a chip with the spatial resolution of 1 mm and flow rate detection limit of 3μL·min–*** inside the channels can also be detected,due to the fluctuation of streaming voltage when gas-liquid interface flows through the electrode,showing an easy and potential way for multi-functional flow monitoring in microfluidic chips.
