　　Allenes are three carbon functional groups possessing two perpendicular π-orbitals. Their unique reaction be havior is spread over three carbon atoms, which shows great potential in organic synthesis in terms of chirality transfer and diversity, as a result of the axial chirality as well as the substituent-loading capability. Recently, we devoted ourselves to establish a new area of oxidative cyclization-dimerization reactions between two functionalized allenes to give interesting bicyclic compounds in a single step. The formidable challenges are to match the reactivities of two allenes, and regenerate the catalyst, which would be reduced after reductive-elimination. In this paper we wish to disclose our recent studies on the synthesis of bi-butenolides from oxidative cyclization self-coupling reaction of 2,3 allenoic acids, in which a new system (PdCl2/RI/air) for regeneration of the palladium(Ⅱ) species was observed.……

Glycerol(electrochemical) oxidation reaction(GOR) producing organic small molecule acid and coupling with hydrogen evolution reaction is a critical aspect of ensuring balanced glycerol capacity and promoting hydrogen generation on a large scale. However, the development of highly efficient and selective non-noble metal-based GOR electrocatalysts is still a key problem. Here, an S-doped CuO nanorod array catalyst(S-CuO/CF) constructed by sulfur leaching and oxidative remodeling is used to drive GOR at low potentials: It requires potentials of only 1.23 and 1.33 V versus RHE to provide currents of 100 and 500 ma cm^(-2), respectively. Moreover, it shows satisfactory comprehensive performance(at 100 ma cm^(-2), V_(cell) = 1.37 V) when assembled as the anode in asymmetric coupled electrolytic cell. Furthermore, we propose a detailed cycle reaction pathway(in alkaline environment) of S-doped CuO surface promoting GOR to produce formic acid and glycolic acid. Among them, the C–C bond breaking and lattice oxygen deintercalation steps frequently involved in the reaction pathway are the key factors to determine the catalytic performance and product selectivity. This research provides valuable guidance for the development of transition metal-based electrocatalysts for GOR and valuable insights into the glycerol oxidation cycle reaction pathway.

AIM:To evaluate clinical response to initial corticosteroid(CS) treatment in Chinese ulcerative colitis patients(UC) and identify predictors of clinical ***:Four hundred and twenty-three UC patients who were initially treated with oral or intravenous CS from 2007 to 2011 were retrospectively reviewed at eight inflammatory bowel disease centers in China,and 101 consecutive cases with one-year follow-up were analyzed further for clinical response and ***-term outcomes within one month were classified as primary response and primary *** outcomes within one year were classified as prolonged CS response,CS dependence and secondary *** refractoriness included primary and secondary *** analyses were performed to identify predictors associated with clinical ***:Within one month,95.0%and 5.0%of the cases were classified into primary response andnon-response,*** one year,41.6%of cases were assessed as prolonged CS response,while49.5%as CS dependence and 4.0%as secondary *** rate of CS refractoriness was 8.9%,while the cumulative rate of surgery was 6.9%within one *** multivariate analysis of all the variables,tenesmus was found to be a negative predictor of CS dependence(OR=0.336;95%CI:0.147-0.768;P=0.013)and weight loss as a predictor of CS refractoriness(OR=5.662;95%CI:1.111-28.857;P=0.040).After one-month treatment,sustained high Sutherland score(≥6)also predicted CS dependence(OR=2.347;95%CI:0.935-5.890;P=0.014).CONCLUSION:Tenesmus was a negative predictor of CS dependence,while weight loss and sustained high Sutherland score were strongly associated with poor CS response.

Fragments produced in the reaction of 60 MeV/n^(18)O on Be have been measured *** isotopic distribution of fragmentation reaction is well reproduced by a modified statistical abrasion-ablation model It is predicted that the isotopic distribution shifts toward the neutron rich side for neutron rich projectile,but this isospin effect decreases with the increase of the atomic number difference Z-Z_(A)and disappears at last,where Z and Z_(A)are atomic numbers of the isotopic distribution and the projectile respectively.

Objective To explore the associations between sugar-sweetened beverage （SSB） consumption and obesity as well as obesity-related cardiometabolic disorders among children in China. Methods A total of 6974 （boys 3558, girls 3412） children aged 6-13 years participated in the study. Each participant’s height, weight, waist circumference, fasting glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol, high- density lipoprotein cholesterol, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol were measured. The type of beverage consumption was determined using a self-administered questionnaire. Results SSBs were consumed regularly by 46.1% of the children. The prevalence [adjusted odds ratio （95% confidence internal （CI）] of obesity was 7.6% [as the reference group （ref.）], 10.1% [1.36（1.07, 1.74）], and 11.6% [1.46（1.21, 1.75）], among children who regularly drank milk, other beverages and SSBs, respectively. Regularly drinking SSBs elevated the likelihood of abdominal obesity [adjusted odds ratio （95% CI）： 1.36 （1.17, 1.59）]. The prevalence [adjusted odds ratio （95% CI）] of obesity among children who regularly drank sports/caloric beverages, carbonated beverages, sweet tea, and plant protein beverages was 16.8% [2.00（1.31, 3.07）], 12.7% [1.52（1.23, 1.88）], 11.5% [1.52（1.18, 1.95）], and 10.4% [1.41（1.03, 1.94）], respectively, which was higher than that of regular milk drinkers [7.6 % （ref.）]. The prevalence [adjusted odds ratio （95% CI）] of abdominal obesity among children who regularly drank sweet tea, fruit/vegetable juices, and carbonated beverages was 17.7% [1.55（1.26, 1.90）], 16.2% [1.36（1.09, 1.70）], and 15.3% [1.24（1.03, 1.50）], respectively, which was much higher than that of regular milk drinkers [12.8% （ref.）]. Conclusions Regular SSB consumption was positively related to obesity and abdominal obesity. This relationship should be investigated further using a longitudinal study design.

Soybean is one of the most important food crops *** other legumes,soybean can form symbiotic relationships with Rhizobium *** fixation of soybean via its symbiosis with Rhizobium is pivotal for sustainable *** Ⅲ effectors(T3Es)are essential regulators of the establishment of the symbiosis,and nodule number is a feature of nitrogen-affected ***,genes encoding T3Es at quantitative trait loci(QTLs)related to nodulation have rarely been *** segment substitution lines(CSSLs)have a common genetic background but only a few loci with heterogeneous genetic information;thus,they are suitable materials for identifying candidate genes at a target *** this study,a CSSL population was used to identify the QTLs related to nodule number in *** nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers and candidate genes within the QTLs interval were detected,and it was determined which genes showed differential expression between *** candidate genes(GmCDPK28,GmNAC1,GmbHLH,and GmERF5)linked to the SNPs were identified as being related to nodule traits and pivotal processes and pathways involved in symbiosis establishment.A candidate gene(GmERF5)encoding a transcription factor that may interact directly with the T3E NopAA was *** confirmed CSSLs with important segments and candidate genes identified in this study are valuable resources for further studies on the genetic network and T3Es involved in the signaling pathway that is essential for symbiosis establishment.

Measurements of the total reaction cross section for^(12-16)C,^(14-17)N and^(16-18)O on carbon target at intermediate energies were performed on RIBLL of HIRFL.A larger enhancement ofσR for^(15)C was observed than that for its *** analysis of these data indicates possible existence of an anomalous nuclear structure in^(15)C.A new quantity was suggested as the criterion to distinguish anomalous structure nuclei from normal nuclei.

Normal high-density lipoprotein(nHDL)can induce angiogenesis in healthy ***,HDL from patients with coronary artery disease undergoes various modifications,becomes dysfunctional(dHDL),and loses its ability to promote ***,we identified a long non-coding RNA,HDRACA,that is involved in the regulation of angiogenesis by *** this study,we showed that nHDL downregulates the expression of HDRACA in endothelial cells by activating WW domain-containing E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 2,which catalyzes the ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of its transcription factor,Kruppel-like factor 5,via sphingosine 1-phosphate(S1P)receptor *** contrast,dHDL with lower levels of S1P than nHDL were much less effective in decreasing the expression of *** was able to bind to Ras-interacting protein 1(RAIN)to hinder the interaction between RAIN and vigilin,which led to an increase in the binding between the vigilin protein and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)mRNA,resulting in a decrease in the expression of PCNA and inhibition of *** expression of human HDRACA in a hindlimb ischemia mouse model inhibited the recovery of *** together,these findings suggest that HDRACA is involved in the HDL regulation of angiogenesis,which nHDL inhibits the expression of HDRACA to induce angiogenesis,and that dHDL is much less effective in inhibiting HDRACA expression,which provides an explanation for the decreased ability of dHDL to stimulate angiogenesis.
