A novel diurnal and seasonal variation analysis of BTEX in Bengaluru urban area

In the urban atmosphere of Bengaluru, various volatile organic compounds(VOCs), particularly Benzene,Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene(BTEX), have shown an increasing trend in concentration. The present research was conducted during summer and monsoon seasons, focusing on Kadubeesanahalli, a high-traffic area within the Bengaluru metropolitan City. hourly sample data was collected using a BTEX analyzer(model GC955-600) and subsequently transformed into daily, monthly, and seasonal values. The study revealed distinct patterns in benzene concentrations. Benzene levels were lowest during the early morning hours, specifically from 1:00 *** 7:00 a.m.. Concentrations then increased from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.,corresponding to the morning and evening peak traffic hours. however, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., the concentration decreased due to reduced traffic levels. These diurnal variations in benzene concentration are influenced by meteorological parameters. Comparing the two seasons, higher concentrations of Benzene, EthylBenzene, and mP-xylene were observed during the summer season. This increase is attributed to the elevated temperatures during summer, which promote the vaporization of BTEX compounds. Conversely, lower BTEX concentrations were recorded during the monsoon season due to the wet deposition process. The observed positive correlation(r > 0.5) among BTEX parameters strongly suggests a common source, most likely originating from vehicular emissions.

C-phycocyanin shows neuroprotective effect against rotenone-induced Parkinson’s disease in mice

Objective:To investigate the neuroprotective effect of C-phycocyanin in a mouse model of rotenone-induced Parkinson’s ***:C-phycocyanin(50 mg/kg,i.p.,daily)was administered to rotenone(30 mg/kg,p.o.,daily)treated mice for 28 *** studies(Y-maze,rotarod,round beam walk,and wire-hang tests)were carried out to assess neurobehavioral *** and malondialdehyde were determined in both serum and striatal *** proteins(AKT,AmPK,NF-κB,BDNF,and alpha-synuclein)in the striatum were estimated using *** analyses(hematoxylin and eosin stainning as well as Nissl staining)were carried out to assess structural abnormalities in the ***:C-phycocyanin significantly increased BDNF levels and decreased alpha-synuclein *** also slightly upregulated AmPK and AKT levels without significant difference compared with the rotenone ***,rotenone-induced elevated oxidative stress and structural abnormalities in the striatum were markedly mitigated by ***:C-phycocyanin might have potential neuroprotective effects against Parkinson’s *** studies are warranted to verify its efficacy and to understand the molecular mechanisms behind the neuroprotective effects of C-phycocyanin in Parkinson’s disease.

Provenance and tectonic setting of sandstones of the Lomas Coloradas Formation, Cabullona Group, sonora, méxico: Constraints on petrography and geochemistry

The sedimentary rocks of the Cabullona Group are well exposed in the Cabullona Basin of northeastern sonora, mexico, which represent syntectonic sedimentation associated with Laramide-style deformation during the Campanian-early maastrichtian. The sandstones of the Lomas Coloradas Formation deposited at the upper part of the Cabullona Group. Petrography and geochemical(major, trace, and rare earth elements) studies were carried out on the sandstones to interpret the palaeoweathering, provenance,and tectonic setting of the Lomas Coloradas Formation sandstones. most of the sandstone modal analysis data plotted in the QFL and Qm FLt ternary diagrams fall into the fields of dissected arcs and recycled orogens,respectively. Geochemically the sandstones are classified as litharenites while few samples plot into the arkosic field. The chondrite-normalized REE diagrams for sandstones have LREE-enriched, relatively flat hREE patterns with negative Eu anomalies. CIA values and the A-CN-K diagram indicate a low intensity of chemical weathering in the source area. The tectonic setting diagram suggests both arc and rift settings for the studied sandstones. The bivariate and ternary diagrams and elemental ratios suggest a felsic source for the Lomas Coloradas Formation. The average REE patterns of the studied sandstones are comparable with REE patterns of the granite from the Caborca block, the rhyolite and granite of the Tarahumara Formation, and the mesozoic felsic volcanic rocks. The modeled mixture of 40% Proterozoic granite, 30% Triassic arc, 10% Jurassic arc, and 20% Laramide arc represents the probable source rocks for the Lomas Coloradas Formation.

Rare earth-doped mixed Ni-Cu-Zn ferrites as an effective photocatalytic agent for active degradation of Rhodamine B dye

In this study, a series of Gd^(3+)-doped mixed Ni-Cu-Zn ferrites with composition of Zn_(0.5)Ni_(0.3)Cu_(0.2)Fe_(2-x)Gd_(x)O_(4)(x = 0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.075, 0.1) was prepared using self-ignition sol-gel method. The prepared nanoparticles with an average size ranging from 22 to 26 nm show a single-phase cubic structure belonging to the spinel matrix. A rise in the Gd^(3+)concentration leads to an increase in crystallite size and lattice parameter. In Fourier transform infrared spectra, two main absorption bands belonging to the spinel structure are observed. The high-frequency bands(v_(1)) represent the tetrahedral complex, while the lowfrequency bands(v_(2)) signify the octahedral complex. The optical bandgap of the nanoferrites is found within the range of 2.91 to 2.41 eV, depending on their size. The magnetic characteristics of the material,such as saturation magnetization and coercivity are significantly altered with the concentration of Gd^(3+)in the solution. Using Rhodamine B(RhB) as a model organic pollutant, an in-depth investigation of the photocatalytic activity of the compounds was carried out. The present outcomes show that adding an adequate amount of Gd^(3+)significantly enhances the number of hydroxyl radicals produced by the ferrite,in turn, increasing the photocatalytic activity of the material. mechanism elucidated by scavenger studies reveals that ·Oh and holes are the primary reactive radicals responsible for the degradation *** photocatalysts show an insignificant performance loss in five consecutive cycles. Thus, it is concluded that these photocatalysts are highly suitable for the remediation of dye-contaminated wastewater.

In this paper,the dust particle surface potential for argon-helium plasma is evaluated analytically and numerically in the context of negatively charged dust particles by employing a power-law(r,q)-distribution *** studies have reported the argon-helium plasma and conducted a brief theoretical and experimental *** deepen our understanding further,this study aims to analyze the argon-helium plasma comprehensively using the same pattern but with the(r,q)-distribution *** this purpose,the current balance equations are derived for electron,helium and argon ions,when these charge species attain the quasineutrality *** numerically examined the currents of plasma species for a broad range of effective distribution function parameters r and *** is revealed that the surface potential of dust particles is significantly affected by the parameters r and q,helium ion-to-electron temperature ratio,argon ion-to-electron temperature ratio,and helium ion to argon ion number density *** incorporating the multi-ion(argon-helium)species,the significance of low-temperature nonmaxwellian dusty(complex)plasma is briefly examined.

The fundamental objective of this paper is to study the effectiveness of magnetic field and gravity on an isotropic homogeneous thermoelastic structure based on four theories of generalized *** another meaning,the models of coupled dynamic theory(CDT),Lord-shulman(Ls),Green-Lindsay(GL)as well as Green-Naghdi(GN II)will be taken in the ***,applying the harmonic method(normal mode technique),the solution of the governing equations and the expressions for the components of the displacement,temperature and(mechanical and maxwell’s)stresses is taken into account and calculated *** impacts of the gravity and magnetic field are illustrated graphically which are pronounced on the different physical ***,the results of some research that others have previously obtained may be found some or all of them as special cases from this study.
