2D CFD Analysis and Experimental Analysis on the Effect of Hub to Tip Ratios on the Performance of 0.6 m Impulse Turbine

The objective of this paper is to present the performance comparison of 2D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis with experimental analysis of 0.6 m impulse turbine with fixed guide vanes for both 0.6 and 0.7 hub to tip ratio (H/T). Also the comparison of 2D CFD analysis of the said turbine with different values of H/T ranging from 0.5 to 0.7. A 2D-cascade model was used for CFD analysis while uni-directional steady flow was used for experimental analysis. The blade and guide vane geometries are based on 0.6 m rotor diameter, with optimum profile, and different H/T of 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7. It was concluded from 2D CFD analysis that 0.5 H/T ratio performances was higher than that of 0.6 and 0.7 H/T at peak efficiency and the operational flow range for 0.5 H/T was found to be wider than that of 0.6 and 0.7 H/T ratio.

The emergence of lead-free halide double perovskites exhibiting bandgaps within the visible spectrum represents a substantial advancement in engineering environmentally benign perovskite solar *** this work,we investigated the structural,optical,electronic,and mechanical properties of Cs-based lead-free Cs2LiGaBr6 double halide perovskites with mn and Cr doping under hydrostatic pressure ranging from 2 to 80 GPa using density functional theory(DFT).The introduction of dopants consistently alters the lattice parameters because of the mismatch in atomic radii,whereas increasing the pressure leads to a reduction in these *** the studied Cs2LiGaBr6 compounds exhibited direct band gaps,which increased slightly with *** is attributed to the modulation of electronic states by dopant-related defect *** bandgap variation under pressure is primarily attributed to changes in the quantum confinement effects induced by compressive *** of the density of states and optical properties revealed enhanced absorption in the visible spectrum for the doped compositions,and in the UV spectrum under *** study of mechanical stability confirms the ductile nature of both the doped and pristine compounds under pressure,underscoring their suitability for thin film *** study contributes to the understanding of sustainable alternatives for perovskite optoelectronic applications,emphasizing Cs2LiGaBr6’s potential under diverse conditions and dopant influences.

TO THE EDITORWe read with great interest and a bit of surprise the article by Tonus et al. We would share herein our comments about it. The specificity of the fecal tumor m2 pyruvate kinase 0VI2-PK） reported by Tonus et al for diagnosing colorectal cancer （CRC） is 93%. This is considerably higher than in any of the previously published studies. In our work, the maximum specificity of fecal m2- PK is 78% （Table 1）. There is a vast difference of 15% between the previous studies and the current study of Tonus et al, which is difficult to explain. We are skeptical about such a high specificity reported by the authors.

In this paper the laminar flow of Newtonian conducting fluid produced by a moving plate in presence of transverse magnetic field is investigated. The basic equation governing the motion of such flow is expressed in non-dimensional form. Analytic solution of the governing equation is obtained by Laplace transformation. Numerical solution of the dimensionless equation is also obtained with the help of Crank-Nicholson implicit scheme. Velocity profiles of the corresponding problem are shown in the graphs.

The KLOE experiment at the φ-factory DAФPNE has measured the pion form factor in the range between 0.1 〈 mππ^2 〈 0.85 GeV^2 using events taken at √s = 1 GeV with a photon emitted at large polar angles in the initial state. This measurement extends the mππ^2 region covered by KLOE ISR measurements of the pion form factor down to the two pion production threshold. The value obtained in this measurement of the dipion contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment of △αμ^ππ= （478.5±2-0stat±4.8syst±2.9theo）·10^-10 further confirms the discrepancy between the Standard model evaluation for αμ and the experimental value measured by the （g-2） collaboration at BNL.

This study focused on the quantitative analysis of the petrophysical parameters in characterizing the reservoir properties of the Srikail gas field using multi-scale wireline *** parameters(shale volume,porosity,water saturation and hydrocarbon saturation)were estimated from the combination of gamma ray log,resistivity log,density log and neutron log for three hydrocarbon(gas)-bearing zones at well#*** the first time,log records at 0.1 m and 0.2 m intervals were read for this *** showed the average shale volume is 21.07%,53.67%and 51.71%for zone-1,zone-2 and zone-3,*** these zones,the estimated average porosity was 35.89%,29.83%and 28.76%,*** average water saturation of 31.54%,16.83%and 23.39%and average hydrocarbon saturation of 68.46%,83.17%and 76.61%were calculated for zone-1,zone-2 and zone-3,*** zone-2 is regarded the most productive zone of well#*** was found that the values of some parameters(porosity,hydrocarbon saturation and permeability)are higher than the existing ***,this study confirmed that the log reading at minute/close interval provides better quantitive values of the reservoir’s petrophysical *** is expected that this result will contribute to the national gas field development program in future.
