AIm:To describe the clinical characteristics and surgical outcomes of complicated cataract with pediatric trematodal granulomatous uveitis(TGU).mETHODS:Patients of cataract with TGU in the membranous(inactive) stage underwent cataract surgery with intraocular lens(IOL) *** history and ophthalmic examination were conducted for all cases,whereas Schimphlug imaging and corneal topography were done for some *** follow up was done on the 1st,2nd,and 5th postoperative days after ***,it was done at least at one,three,and six months *** and postoperative complications and the methods of their management were ***:Twelve eyes of 12 male children were included in this study ranging from 8 to *** mean best corrected Snellen visual acuity(BCVA) was significantly improved from 0.09±0.06 preoperatively to 0.37±0.11 at the final visit 6mo postoperatively(Pmphlug imaging and corneal topography showed flattening of the anterior surface of the inferior *** difficulties and complications included the poor dilatability of the drown down pupil,strong posterior synechia between the anterior lens capsule and the iris at the site of the inferior retrocorneal vascularized membrane and *** cases underwent primary hydrophobic IOL ***:Surgery for this type of cataract is relatively safe and *** is associated with some specific difficulties and complications that should be considered during surgery and follow up.

AIm： To evaluate corneal topographic changes and surgically induced astigmatism （SIA） after combined phacoemulsification and 25-gauge transconjunctival sutureless vitrectomy （25-G TSV）.mETHODS： A retrospective study on 96 eyes of 87 patients who underwent combined phacoemulsification and 25-G TSV. The different topographic parameters and SIA were analyzed pre- and ***： There was no significant changes in corneal topographic parameters at different follow up periods. Only surface regularity index changed significantly in the 2nd postoperative week and then returned to baseline values thereafter. mean SIA gradually decreased to reach 0.12 D by the 6th postoperative ***： Corneal surface and astigmatic changes are insignificant in either early or late postoperative periods following combined phacoemulsification and 25-G TSV. The SIA was the minimum among previous reports on sutureless vitrectomy alone or combined with phacoemulsification. Improvement of SIA did not stop at the 3rd postoperative month but it continued till the 6th month postoperatively.

The present study was conducted to evaluate the hypolipidemic effects of coffee silver skin(CSS)supplementation in rats fed a highfat diet(HFD).A total of 40 albino rats were used in the present *** groups were as follows:Rats fed a normal diet,N group;high fat diet,HFD group;high fat diet+10%CSS,HFD 10;HFD+15%CSS,HFD 15;HFD+20%CSS,HFD 20;the diets were followed for 8 *** samples were collected at the end of the *** the time of sacrifice,the weights of heart,liver,kidneys,epididymal fat and retroperitoneal fat of the experimental rats with respect to body weight were *** lipid parameter of the serum was recorded and liver and kidney function tests were ***,a histopathological assay was performed on the liver and kidney tissues of the rats fed the tested *** weight gain of the rats fed a HFD supplemented with 10,15 and 20%CSS was∼1.05,1.08 and 1.12 times lower than that of those rats fed HFD,*** incorporation of CSS at a level of 20%reduced the increase in liver,kidney,epididymal fat and retroperitoneal fat weight by 17.84,19.38,47.23 and 18.00%,respectively,compared with HFD *** administration induced considerable increases in alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatase activities compared with the control *** results also indicated that the HFD-fed rats exhibited increased levels of urea,uric acid and creatinine,by∼26.38,8.40 and 6.75%,respectively,compared with the control *** the exception of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,all lipid fractions increased significantly in rats fed a *** administration of a HFD induced marked pathological changes in the liver and kidneys of the ***,the incorporation of various levels of CSS in to a HFD reduced these *** results of the present study illustrate that the incorporation of CSS into HFDs reduces the hyperlipidemia effect of these diets.

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV) is probably the most common diagnosis at vertigo *** cycles of several human illnesses could be attributed variously to changes in atmospheric or weather *** this retrospective study,patients with BPPV from January 2010 to December 2012 were studied,and their charts were *** analysis revealed a statistically significant difference in patients’ numbers among different months of the *** there is a significant statistical correlation between the numbers of patients with climatic variations especially the *** present paper discusses the possible explanations for these results which confirms the seasonal variations in BPPV,together with a review of literature to view the possible associations with other disorders that causes such seasonality.

Soft clays are usually classified according to their undrained shear strength,*** of Su less than 12.5 kPa are associated with very soft *** addition to their low shear strength,soft clays exhibit high compressibility upon ***,soft clays are considered to be problematic for foundation ***-foam is an industrial material that is characterized by a very low unit weight(20 kg/m^(3) on average)compared to that of the *** density of expanded polystyrene(EPS)ranges from 1.0%to 2.5%,which results in a compressive strength ranging between 70 kPa and 140 kPa and an elastic modulus ranging between 5 mPa and 12 *** geofoam blocks are used in a wide range of geotechnical applications as a lightweight fill *** main objective of this study was to investigate the geotechnical properties of soft clays containing geo-foam beads and cement bypass dust(CBPD).We also investigated the viability of preparing low-strength excavatable fill *** study the effect of(geofoam beads+CBPD)/soft clay on the fluid-state and hardened properties of new fill,we conducted experiments on two groups of mixtures(A&B).Each mixture contained different ratios of geo-foam beads and CBPD so that we could study the effect of the additive on the flow consistency,dry unit weight,unconfined compressive strength,and shear strength of the *** test results showed that the unconfined compressive strength of the studied mixtures without geo-foam ranged from 271.8 kPa to 1405.14 kPa at CBPD concentrations between 3.88%and 18.63%.The cohesion values for the group containing geo-foam ranged from 50 kPa to 20 kPa at geo-foam percentages between 0.32%and 1.35%.The friction angle of the group containing geo-foam ranged from 10 kPa to 22 kPa at CBPD percentages between 0.32%and 1.35%.Cement bypass dust can be successfully used to process self-compacting,self-leveling,excavatable and flowable fill material.

An efficient and facile approach for tetrachlorosilane as an in situ mediated transformation via a one-pot, synthesis of vicinal bromoazides through the generation of BrN3 from azidochlorosilane and N-bromosuccinimide in acetonitrile as solvent at ambient temperature is achieved. This catalytic process represents a highly regioselective and high yielding method for the synthesis of 1,2- bromoazides. Thiamine pyrophosphate （TPP） riboswitches regulate essential genes in bacteria by changing conformation upon binding intracellular TPP. molecular docking studies are conducted to understand the orientation and the interaction of each synthesized molecules with TPP riboswitches, 2016 Chinese Chemical Society and Institute of materia medica, Chinese Academv of medical Sciences.

The present study aims to integrate a large set of geological and geophysical data into a comprehensive model describing the depositional features of the Abu madi/El Qar'a/Khilala gas *** model is based on the sequence stratigraphic framework of the Abu madi Formation defined using cores,well logs,and time-migrated seismic *** trace attribute sections and relative acoustic impedance sections are also used.A possible depositional pattern for the main Level Ill is established,based on the lithological and petrophysical information derived from the seismic data *** Abu madi For-mation can be regarded as a depositional sequence recording the progressive drowning of the incised *** sequence is bounded at the base by an erosional unconformity,created by a drop in the level of the Late messinian Sea,and at the top by a drowning unconformity related to the Early Pliocene *** bottom of Level II divides the Abu madi sequence into two smaller *** both sequences,gas-bearing traps can be found in the Lowstand Systems Tracts,represented by the fluvial Level Ill and fluvial-deltaic Level Il,respectively.

The continuous evaluation of the measured Stand Pipe Pressure(SPP)against a modeled SPP value in real-time involves the automatic detection of undesirable drilling events such as drill string washouts and mud pump *** theoretical and experimental studies have been established to calculate the friction pressure losses using different rheological models and based on an extension of pipe flow correlations to an annular ***,it would not be feasible to employ these models for real-time applications since they are limited to some conditions and intervals of application and require input parameters that might not be available in real-time on each *** this study,The Group method of Data Handling(GmDH)is applied to develop a trustworthy model that can predict the SPP in real-time as a function of mud flow,well depth,RPm and the Fan VG viscometer reading at 600 and 300 *** order to accomplish the modeling task,3351 data points were collected from two wells from Algerian *** and statistical assessment criteria disclosed that the model predictions are in excellent agreement with the experimental data with a coefficient of determination of 0.9666 and an average percent relative error less than 2.401%.Furthermore,another dataset(1594 data points)from well-3 was employed to validate the developed correlation for *** obtained results confirmed that the proposed GmDH-SPP model can be applied in real-time to estimate the SPP with high ***,it was found that the proposed GmDH correlation follows the physically expected trends with respect to the employed input ***,the findings of this study can help for the early detection of downhole problems such as drill string washout,pump failure,and bit balling.

The recent developments in biological and information technologies have resulted in the generation of massive quantities of data it speeds up the process of knowledge discovery from biological *** to the advancements of medical imaging in healthcare decision making,significant attention has been paid by the computer vision and deep learning(DL)*** the same time,the detection and classification of colorectal cancer(CC)become essential to reduce the severity of the disease at an earlier *** existing methods are commonly based on the combination of textual features to examine the classifier results or machine learning(mL)to recognize the existence of *** this aspect,this study focuses on the design of intelligent DL based CC detection and classification(IDL-CCDC)model for bioinformatics *** proposed IDL-CCDC technique aims to detect and classify different classes of *** addition,the IDLCCDC technique involves fuzzy filtering technique for noise removal ***,water wave optimization(WWO)based EfficientNet model is employed for feature extraction ***,chaotic glowworm swarm optimization(CGSO)based variational auto encoder(VAE)is applied for the classification of CC into benign or *** design of WWO and CGSO algorithms helps to increase the overall classification *** performance validation of the IDL-CCDC technique takes place using benchmark Warwick-QU dataset and the results portrayed the supremacy of the IDL-CCDC technique over the recent approaches with the maximum accuracy of 0.969.
