Influenza H1N1 has been found to exhibit oscillatory levels of incidence in large pop- ulations. Clear peaks for influenza H1N1 are observed in several countries including Vietnam each year [m. F. Boni, B. H. manh, P. Q. Thai, J. Farrar, T. Hien, N. T. Hien, N. Van Kinh and P. Horby, modelling the progression of pandemic influenza A （H1N1） in Vietnam and the opportunities for reassortment with other influenza viruses, BmC med. 7 （2009） 43, Doi： 10.1186/1741-7015-%43]. So it is important to study seasonal forces and factors which can affect the transmission of this disease. This paper studies an SIRS epidemic model with seasonal vaccination rate. This SIRS model has a unique disease-free solution （DFS）. The value Ro, the basic reproduction number is obtained when the vaccination is a periodic function. Stability results for the DFS are obtained when R0 〈 1. The disease persists in the population and remains endemic if R0 〉 1. Also when R0 〉 1 existence of a nonzero periodic solution is proved. These results obtained for our model when the vaccination strategy is a non-constant time-dependent function.

The structural,morphological and optical properties of single-phase polycrystalline La2-xSrxNimnO6(x=0,0.3 and 0.5),synthesized by solid state reaction were *** samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEm)/energy dispersive analysis of X-rays(EDAX),Raman spectroscopy and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS)to elucidate the role of A-site Sr-doping in double perovskite La2 *** analysis of XRD patterns revealed that all the samples have monoclinic structure with space group P21/*** gradient in the Williamson Hall plots revealed the presence of tensile strain in all the *** morphological studies revealed that average grain size increases along with appreciable decrease in porosity with Sr *** Ni/mn antisite disorder was introduced in the La2 NimnO6 by Sr-doping confirmed by an increase in the full width at half maximum(FWHm)and decrease in intensity of the Raman modes at around 540 and 665 cm-1 which correspond to the antisymmetric stretching and symmetric stretching modes,*** results reveal that the band gap in La2 NimnO6 can be tuned down by Sr-doping to a value of1.37 eV(very close to 1.40 eV,considered as optimum value for better efficiency of a solar cell).Thus,Sr-doped La2 NimnO6 may be of prime importance for applications in solar cells.

This work presents a new velocity search algorithm for designing a condenser of a 1200 mWe large-scale nuclear power plant situated in tropical *** this,the condenser pressure was considered in the range of 7.5-15 kPa while its tube inner diameter was taken as 28 mm with 1 mm tube wall *** longitudinal and transverse condensers with multiple shell tanks and varied shell tank lengths from 8-14 m have been considered in this *** different tertiary coolant temperature rises were chosen as 4°C,8°C and 12°C by considering tropical region average reservoir water temperature range of 28°C to 32°C during *** of tertiary coolant was kept within 0.75-1.5 m/s to ensure sufficient turbulence to avoid erosion-corrosion of the *** simulation has been employed to obtain tube-side pressure drop and convection heat transfer coefficient directly from tertiary coolant inlet velocity using κ-ω turbulent flow model.A new iterative“Velocity-search algorithm”has been developed that focuses on finding the correct tertiary coolant velocity instead of overall heat transfer *** revealed that velocity-search algorithm yielded very close to the important physical and thermal parameters of condenser compared to the existing design data in large scale nuclear power ***-search algorithm has given less number of condenser design physical parameters that meets the velocity acceptance criteria for longitudinal condenser compared to the transverse ***,velocity-search algorithm is found to be more reliable,robust,and consistent for condenser design compared to the conventional design algorithm used in Log-mean Temperature Difference method.

Arctic sea-ice extent reaches its minimum each year in September. On 11 September 2023 the minimum was 4.969 million square kilometers(***^(2)). This was not a record low, which occurred in 2012, when the minimum was 4.175 ***^(2), 0.794 ***^(2) less than the minimum in 2023. However, the ice extent had decreased by 0.432 ***^(2) compared with 2022. Nevertheless, the summer melting in 2023 was remarkably less than expected when considering the strong heat waves in the atmosphere and ocean, with record temperatures set around the world. In general, there is a high correlation between the long-term decrease in sea-ice extent and the increasing CO_(2) in the atmosphere, where the increase of CO_(2) in recent decades explains about 80% of the decrease in sea ice in September, while the remainder is caused by natural variability.

Insects respond to changes in microhabitat caused by canopy disturbance, and thus can be used to examine the ecological impacts of harvesting. Single-tree selection harvesting is the most common silvicultural system used to emulate local small-scale natural disturbance and maintain uneven-aged forest structure in temperate forests. Here, we test for differences in richness, abundance, and composition of hymenopteran and saproxylic insect assemblages at four different taxon levels （selected insect orders; and all hymenopteran families, and braconid subfamilies and morphospecies） between the canopy and understory of unharvested and single-tree selection harvested sites in a northern temperate forest from central Canada. Harvesting had no effect on insect assemblage richness, composition or abundance at the three highest taxon levels （order, family and subfamily）. Similarly, richness and abundance at the lowest-taxon level （braconid morphospecies） were similar, although composition differed slightly between unharvested and harvested stands. Insect assemblages were vertically stratified, with generally higher abundance （for Diptera, Hymenoptera, some hymenopteran families and braconid subfamilies） and richness （for braconid morphospecies） in the understory than the canopy. In particular, composition of the braconid morphospecies assemblage showed relatively low similarity between the understory and canopy. Single-tree selection harvesting appears to influence wood-associated insect taxa only subtly through small changes in community composition at the lowest taxon level, and thus is recommended as a conservative approach for managing these northern temperate forests.

Objective:To investigate in vitro antioxidant and in vivo antitumor activity of the crude methanolic extract of Aponogeton undulatus(mAU) along with its various organic ***:Aponogeton undulatus leaves were successively extracted using methanol(mAU)and then fractionated by chloroform,ethyl acetate(EAU) and *** total antioxidant capacity,lipid peroxidation inhibition assay.1.1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) free radical scavenging assay and ferrous reducing power assessment were used to evaluate the antioxidant potential of the crude extract and its organic *** in vivo antitumor activity is evaluated against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(EAC) cell bearing in Swiss albino ***:EAU showed the highest antioxidant capacity as(175.80±0.41)mg/g,IC_(50)value of DPPH scavenging activity was(38.84±0.02)μg/mL and also exhibited maximum lipid peroxidation inhibition activity with the IC_(50) value of(42.52±0.32)μg/mL than other *** results demonstrate that reducing power of the extract was concentration *** addition,EAU was administered at 50.100 and 200 mg/kg body weight respectively to EAC cell bearing mice and a significant(Pmor volume,packed cell volume and viable cell count and also increased the life span(17.52% .42.53% and 62.05% ).Hematological profiles were restored to normal levels in mAU treated mice as compared to EAC control ***:The results were found to be significant and confirmed that the Aponogeton undulatus has remarkable antitumor activity with antioxidant potential.

The brain's extracellular matrix(ECm),which is comprised of protein and glycosaminoglycan(GAG)scaffolds,constitutes 20%-40% of the human brain and is considered one of the largest influencers on brain cell functioning(Soles et al.,2023).Synthesized by neural and glial cells,the brain's ECm regulates a myriad of homeostatic cellular processes,including neuronal plasticity and firing(miyata et al.,2012),cation buffering(moraws ki et al.,2015),and glia-neuron interactions(Anderson et al.,2016).Considering the diversity of functions,dynamic remodeling of the brain's ECm indicates that this understudied medium is an active participant in both normal physiology and neurological diseases.
