An experim.nt investigating gam.a em.ssion in hadron therapy was perform.d at Cyclotron Centre Bronowice (CCB), Cracow, Poland, using two different phantom.m.terials—carbon and poly(m.thyl m.thacrylate) Pm.A. The m.asurem.nts were carried out at 70 m.V proton beam.energy and the gam.a quanta were registered with the use of HP Ge detector with scintillation anti-Com.ton shielding. Although the prim.ry aim.was to establish a solid experim.ntal data base for future applications in prom.t gam.a im.ging, the data have also been analyzed with regards to the position and shape of the spectral line stem.ing from.deexcitation of the carbon excited state 4.44 m.V. m.asurem.nts potentially useful to determ.ne the cross section were perform.d only at 90° laboratory polar angle. However, benefiting from.the very good energy resolution it turned out possible to extract inform.tion on angular distribution of the C* (4.44 m.V) deexcitation by analyzing the associated line shape. This paper presents the schem. of m.del calculations assum.ng the whole process can be divided into two stages: excitation of carbon nuclei by im.inging protons and deexcitation of the C* (4.44 m.V) state.

The organ-specific toxicity resulting from.m.croplastic(m.)exposure has been extensively explored,particularly concerning the gut,liver,testis,and ***,under natural conditions,these effects are not restricted to specific organs or *** whether m. exposure presents a system.c threat to an entire organism.im.acting factors such as lifespan,sleep,and fecundity,is *** this study,we investigated the effects of dietary exposure to two different doses of m.s(1–5μm.using the terrestrial m.del organism.Drosophila *** indicated that the particles caused gut dam.ge and rem.ined within the digestive *** m. exposure significantly shortened the lifespan of adult *** short-term.exposure disrupted sleep patterns,increasing the length of daytim. sleep ***,one week of m. exposure reduced ovary size,with a trend towards decreased egg-laying in m.ted *** m.s did not penetrate the brain or ovaries,transcriptom. analysis revealed altered gene expression in these *** the ovary,Gene Ontology(GO)analysis indicated genotoxic effects im.acting inflam.ation,circadian regulation,and m.tabolic processes,with significant im.acts on extracellular structure-related *** the brain,GO analysis identified changes in pathways associated with proteolysis and carbohydrate ***,this study provides com.elling evidence of the system.c negative effects of m. exposure,highlighting the urgent need to address and m.tigate environm.ntal m. pollution.
