In.the urban.atm.sphere of Ben.aluru, various volatile organ.c com.oun.s(VOCs), particularly Ben.en.,Toluen., Ethylben.en., an. Xylen.(BTEX), have shown.an.in.reasin. tren. in.con.en.ration. The presen. research was con.ucted durin. sum.er an. m.n.oon.season., focusin. on.Kadubeesan.halli, a high-traffic area within.the Ben.aluru m.tropolitan.City. Hourly sam.le data was collected usin. a BTEX an.lyzer(m.del GC955-600) an. subsequen.ly tran.form.d in.o daily, m.n.hly, an. season.l values. The study revealed distin.t pattern. in.ben.en. con.en.ration.. Ben.en. levels were lowest durin. the early m.rn.n. hours, specifically from.1:00 *** 7:00 a.m.. Con.en.ration. then.in.reased from.7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. an. again.from.4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.,correspon.in. to the m.rn.n. an. even.n. peak traffic hours. However, between.10:00 a.m. an. 4:00 p.m., the con.en.ration.decreased due to reduced traffic levels. These diurn.l variation. in.ben.en. con.en.ration.are in.luen.ed by m.teorological param.ters. Com.arin. the two season., higher con.en.ration. of Ben.en., EthylBen.en., an. m.-xylen. were observed durin. the sum.er season. This in.rease is attributed to the elevated tem.eratures durin. sum.er, which prom.te the vaporization.of BTEX com.oun.s. Con.ersely, lower BTEX con.en.ration. were recorded durin. the m.n.oon.season.due to the wet deposition.process. The observed positive correlation.r > 0.5) am.n. BTEX param.ters stron.ly suggests a com.on.source, m.st likely origin.tin. from.vehicular em.ssion..

Occupation.l han. an. wrist in.uries(OHWIs)accoun. for 25%of work-related acciden.s in.low-an. m.ddle-in.om. *** Colom.ia,m.re than.500000 occupation.l acciden.s occurred in.2021,an. although the rate declin.d to less than.5%in.2020 an. 2021,at least on. in.four acciden.s in.olved a han. or wrist *** To describe the OHWIs in.workers seen.at the em.rgen.y room.at a secon.-level hospital in.*** An.observation.l study was perform.d usin. data from.workers who experien.ed OHWIs an. atten.ed a secon.-level hospital,between.Jun.,2020 an. m.y,*** overall frequen.y of OHWIs,as well as their distribution.by sociodem.-graphic,clin.cal,an. occupation.l variables,are ***,association.pattern. between.sex,an.tom.cal area(fin.ers,han.,wrist),an. type of job were an.lyzed by correspon.en.e an.lysis(CA).RESULTS There were 2.101 workers treated for occupation.l acciden.s,423(20.3%)were cases of OHWIs,which m.in.y affected m.n.93.9%)with a m.dian.age of 31 years an. who worked m.in.y in.m.n.n.(75.9%).OHWIs were m.re com.on.in.the right upper extrem.ty(55.3%)an. com.rised differen. types of in.uries,such as con.usion.42.1%),laceration.27.9%),fracture(18.7%),an. crush in.ury(15.6%).They prim.rily affected the phalan.es(95.2%),especially those of the first fin.er(25.7%).The CAs showed association. between.the in.ured an.tom.cal area an. the worker’s job that differed in.m.n.an. wom.n.explain.d varian.e>90%).COn.LUSIOn.On. out of five workers who suffered occupation.l acciden.s in.Cun.in.m.rca,Colum.ia had an.OHWI,affectin. m.in.y m.les em.loyed in.*** occupation.l profile is likely to lead to prolon.ed rehabilitation.an. perm.n.n. fun.tion.l *** results m.ght be useful for adjustin. preven.ive m.asures in.cluster risk groups.
