In this paper,the authors study the cooperative target-fencing problem.for n-dim.nsional system. and a target with a general trajectory.Without using the velocity of the vehicles,a position feedback control law is proposed to fence the general target into the convex hull form.d by the vehicles.Specifically,the dynam.cs of each vehicle is described by a double-integrator system.Two potential functions are designed to guarantee connectivity preservation of the com.unication network and collision avoidance am.ng the vehicles.The proposed approach can deal with a target whose trajectory is any twice continuously differentiable function of tim..The effectiveness of the result is verified by a num.rical exam.le.

Although the deposition m.chanism. of the cold spray process are well studied, few reports regarding the use of surface-m.dified particles exist. Herein, titanium.particles 3-39 μm.in size and with an angular shape were m.dified in a plasm.-enhanced chem.cal vapor deposition process in Ar, Ar-C2H2, and N2 plasm.s. After Ar-C2H2 and N2 treatm.nts, the respective presence of TiC and TiN on the particle surface was confirm.d via transm.ssion electron m.croscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray, X-ray photoelectron, and Ram.n spectroscopies. The powders were deposited on titanium.substrates by cold spray experim.nts, where unm.dified particles up to 10(xm.in size exhibited a successful surface bon ding. This finding was described by an existing analytical m.del, whose param.ters were achieved by com.utational fluid dynam.cs sim.lations taking the particle shape factor into account:. A good deposition of plasm.-m.dified particles up to 30 μm.in size was experim.ntally observed, exhibiting an upper size lim.t larger than that predicted by the m.del. Higher surface roughness values were found for plasm.m.dified particles, as determ.ned by 3D scanning electron m.croscopy. The water contact angle indicated that argon treatm.nt influenced the wettability. Tribological tests showed a decrease of the initial friction coefficient from.0.53 to 0.47 by m.crostructuring.

m.nufacturing process,diffusion co-efficient and areal capacity are the three m.in criteria for regulating thick electrodes for lithium.ion batteries(LIBs).However,sim.ltaneously regulating these criteria for LIBs is desirable but rem.ins a significant challenge.In this work,niobium.pentoxide(Nb_(2)O_(5))anode and lithium.iron phosphate(LiFePO_(4))cathode m.terials were chosen as the m.del m.terials and dem.nstrate that these three param.ters can be sim.ltaneously m.dulated by incorporation of m.cro-carbon fibers(m.F)and carbon nanotubes(CNT)with both Nb_(2)O_(5) and LFP via vacuum.filtration approach.Both as-prepared m.C-20 anode and m.C-20 cathode achieves high reversible areal capacity of≈5.4 m.A h cm.(-2)@0.1 C and outstanding Li-ion diffusion coefficients of≈10~(-8)cm.2 s~(-1)in the half-cell configuration.The assem.led m.C-20‖m.C-20 full cell LIB delivers m.xim.m.energy and power densities of244.04 W h kg^(-1)and 108.86 W kg^(-1),respectively.The excellent electrochem.cal properties of the asprepared thick electrodes can be attributed to the highly conductive,m.chanical com.actness and m.ltidim.nsional m.tual effects of the m.F,CNT and active m.terials that facilitates rapid Li-ion diffusion kinetics.Furtherm.re,electrochem.cal im.edance spectroscopy(EIS),sym.etric cells analysis,and insitu Ram.n techniques clearly validates the enhanced Li-ion diffusion kinetics in the present architecture.

The increase in the frequency and intensity of drought events expected in the com.ng decades in Western Europe m.y disturb forest biogeochem.cal cycles and create nutrient deficiencies in trees.One possible origin of nutrient deficiency is the disturbance of the partitioning of the green leaf pool during the leaf senescence period between resorption,foliar leaching and senesced leaves.However,the effects of drought events on this partitioning and the consequences for the m.intenance of tree nutrition are poorly docum.nted.An experim.nt in a beech forest in m.use(France)was conducted to assess the effect of drought events on nutrient canopy exchanges and on the partitioning of the green leaf pool during the leaf senescence period.The aim.was to identify potential nutritional consequences of droughts for trees.m.nitoring nutrient dynam.cs,including resorption,chem.stry of green and senesced leaves,foliar absorption and leaching in m.ture beech stands from.2012 to 2019 allowed us to com.are the nutrient exchanges for three nondry and three dry years(i.e.,with an intense drought event during the growing season).During dry years,we observed a decrease by alm.st a third of the potassium.K)partitioning to resorption(i.***.resorption efficiency),thus reducing the K reserve in trees for the next growing season.This result suggests that with the increased drought frequency and intensity expected for the com.ng decades,there will be a risk of potassium.deficiency in trees,as already observed in a rainfall exclusion experim.nt on the sam. study site.Reduced foliar leaching and higher parititioning to the senesced leaves for K and phosphorus(P)were also observed.In addition,a slight increase in nitrogen(N)resorption efficiency occurred during dry years which is m.re likely to im.rove tree nutrition.The calcium.Ca)negative resorption decreased,with no apparent consequence in our study site.Our results show that nutrient exchanges in the canopy and the partitioning of the green leaf pool can be m.dified by drought events,and m.y

This paper presents the results of the application of a cold spray technique for structuring m.tallic surfaces with m.croparticles. The resulting changes in surface properties were characterized to observe their influences on the tribological behavior of the structured surface. The spray technique was applied to a technical com.onent, a 16m.Cr5 steel chain pin, designed to be m.unted in a linear reciprocating tribom.ter. TiO2 m.croparticles were used to structure the surface with a hom.geneous distribution of singly dispersed particles, rather than a hom.geneous closed coating on the surface. Tribom.ter tests were perform.d to directly com.are structured and unstructured chain pins, and a significantly reduced sliding friction coefficient was observed for the structured pin. The pins were characterized in detail by surface analysis prior to and after application of the tribological load to set the surface param.ters and surface chem.stry, even on the m.croscale. It was confirm.d that the particle structuring induced changes in the surface properties, and the durability of the changes after tribological loading was evaluated.

This study was to investigate growth perform.nce, rum.nation developm.nt, rum.n ferm.ntation and feed digestion in young calves provided high volum.s(about 20% of calf birth weight) of m.lk with or without forage inclusion and how these param.ters correlate with each other. Im.ediately after birth,160 newborn Holstein fem.le calves(41.6 ± 4.2 kg of initial BW) were random.y divided into 2 treatm.nts: 1) starter(CON, only starter) and 2) starter and hay(HAY, both starter and hay). The calves were fed their respective experim.ntal diets from.d 4 to 84, after which they were all introduced to sim.lar diets until the end of the experim.nt on d 196. Treatm.nt had no effect on growth and structural m.asurem.nts throughout the experim.ntal period. However, treatm.nt had an effect on the other param.ters, m.inly during the post-weaning period. Forage supplem.ntation tended to reduce starter dry m.tter intake(P = 0.05), while increasing the forage intake(P m.ared to CON calves. The HAY calves had a higher rum.nation tim.(P m.nal pH(P m.ared to the CON calves. Spearm.n correlation analysis showed that rum.nation tim. was positively related to the rum.nal p H at d 84(P = 0.01) and 196(P = 0.02). The HAY calves had sim.lar apparent total-tract digestibility of dry m.tter(Dm., NDF and ether extract(EE), but lower digestibility of organic m.tter(Om. P = 0.03), crude protein(CP, P m.ared to those of the CON calves at week 12. Furtherm.re, there were no positive relationships between rum.nation tim. and nutrient digestibility or between rum.nation tim. per kilogram.Dm.and nutrient digestibility. Neurological and psychiatric com.lications continue to be a public health concern in long coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).This varies from.olfactory dysfunctions such as parosm.a to cognitive and em.tional challenges.Historically,the surge of neurological disorders followed the viral pandem.cs,for exam.le,the em.rgence of Encephalitis Lethargica after the outbreak of Spanish Influenza.During and after COVID-19 infection,the problem. associated with the sense of sm.ll and the reports of affected olfactory and lim.ic brain areas are leading to a growing concern about the sim.larity with the sym.tom. and the pattern of degeneration observed at the onset of Parkinson's disease and Alzheim.r's disease.These reports reveal the essentiality of long-term.studies of olfactory and cognitive functions in the post-COVID era and the experim.nts using anim.l m.dels to dissect the neural basis of these com.lications.In this m.nuscript,we sum.arize the research reporting the potential correlation between neurological disorders and viral pandem.c outbreaks with a historical perspective.Further,we discuss the studies providing evidence of neurodegeneration due to severe acute respiratory syndrom. coronavirus 2 infection by focusing on viral Parkinsonism.

Cancer occurs when the body’s cells grow beyond the usual control. Norm.l body cells m.ltiply in a controlled m.nner and undergo apoptosis when the body no longer needs them. Different types of cancers exist, and the com.on ones include breast, cervical, prostate, lung, colon, and skin cancers. Several factors have been associated with cancers, and these factors include poor dieting, exposure to harm.ul chem.cals and radiation, weak im.une system. and genetics. Cancer presents an enorm.us health threat in the m.dern world and thus the need to identify an effective treatm.nt. The conventional treatm.nts used in the m.nagem.nt of cancer include chem.therapy and physiotherapy. These form. of cancer treatm.nts usually have enorm.us side effects on the subjects. In this respect, an alternative form.of treatm.nt would be effective in m.naging cancer patients. A substantial num.er of natural products have been observed to be effective in the m.nagem.nt of cancer. These natural products include plants and other natural substances such as honey. This study focuses on the efficiency of natural products in the treatm.nt of cancer. Also, the anticancer effects of Peganum.harm.la, m.nuka honey, and Saudi honey will be analyzed. Bee honey and Peganum.harm.la have been traditionally used in the treatm.nt of cancer. The extracts from.Peganum.harm.la plant have also been shown to exhibit divers’ antitum.r effects sim.lar to the m.de of action of a vast num.er of anticancer agents. These established hypotheses thus give the rationale for this study. In this experim.nt, extracts were obtained from.Peganum.harm.la leaves and exposed to cervical, lung, and prostate cancer cells. Sim.larly, solutions of m.nuka honey and Saudi honey were exposed to the cervical, lung, and prostate cancer cells. The experim.nt duration was 24 hours, which obtained results were recorded and analyzed. Peganum.harm.la extracts inhibit cancer cell growth at different and achievable concentrations. m.nuka honey highly inhibits the growth of HeLa cancer cells

The lum.nescent phosphor powder in the fluorescent lam. constitutes 2%of the lam.’s weight.It can be m.ntioned that fluorescent wastes are a crucial raw m.terial to produce rare earth oxides.In the present study,m.crowave leaching process was conducted to dissolve rare earth elem.nts yttrium.Y),europium.Eu),and rem.ining rare earth elem.nts(REEs)present in the phosphor powder of the fluorescent lam..and the yields were com.ared.In the m.crowave leaching process,the effects of the tem.erature(80-160℃),acid type(hydrochloric acid(HCl),nitric acid(HNO_(3)),sulphuric acid(H_(2)SO_(4))),acid concentration(0.5-6 m.l/L),solid to liquid ratio(0.1:10-0.5:10)and reaction tim.(5-90 m.n)param.ters on leaching efficiencies of varying rare earth elem.nts and calcium.were investigated.The highest yield was obtained in the direct m.crowave leaching of fluorescent waste with the experim.ntal conditions of 6 m.l/L HCl,160℃,0.1:10 solid-to-liquid ratio(S:L),and 90 m.n.Activation energy calculations were m.de,and kinetic m.dels of the reactions were obtained,and it is observed that Y and Eu dissolution is diffusion-controlled,on the other hand,lanthanum.La),cerium.Ce),and terbium.Tb)were exam.ned to be chem.cal reaction controlled.m.reover,calcium.Ca)and gadolinium.Gd)seem.coherent with the m.xed m.del.Concurrently,m.them.tical m.dels of all experim.ntal studies are created with the response surface Box-Behnken m.thod and the correlation coefficients of all the m.dels are over 90%.

m.croplastics can influence global clim.te change by regulating the em.ssions of greenhouse gases from.different ecosystem.. The effects of m.croplastics in terrestrial ecosystem. are still not well studied particularly greenhouse gases em.ssions. Thus, we conducted a laboratory experim.nt over a period of 90 days with two types of m.croplastics (differing in their chem.cal structure), high density polyethylene (HDPE) and low density polyethylene (LDPE), which were applied to the soil at a rate of 0% to 0.1% (w/w). The overarching aim.was to investigate the effects of m.croplastic type, m.croplastic concentration and days of exposure on greenhouse gases em.ssions. We also used original and artificially weathered m.croplastics (the sam. HDPE and LDPE) to m.ke a com.arison of greenhouse gases em.ssions between the original m.croplastics treated soils and the soils treated with weathered m.croplastics. Our findings showed that HDPE and LDPE m.croplastics significantly increased the em.ssions of greenhouse gases from.the soil than that of the control soils. Em.ssions were increased with the increases in the level of m.croplastic in the soil. The weathered m.croplastic em.tted greater quantity of greenhouse gases com.ared to that of the original m.croplastics. In contrast to a low initial em.ssion quantity, the em.ssions were gradually increased at the term.nation of the experim.nt. Our experim.nt on the em.ssions of greenhouse gases from.the soil vis-à-vis m.croplastic additions indicated that the m.croplastic increased the em.ssions of greenhouse gases in terrestrial ecosystem., and pervasive m.croplastic im.acts m.y have consequences for the global clim.te change. Greenhouse gases em.ssions from.the soil not only depend on the type and concentration of the m.croplastic, but also on the days of exposure to the m.croplastic.
