Selenium.and zinc are used as anionic and cationic dopant elem.nts to dope PbS nanostructures. The undoped and doped PbS nanostructures are grown using a therm.l evaporation m.thod. Scanning electron m.croscopy （SEm. results show sim.lar m.rphologies for the undoped and doped PbS nanostructures. X-ray diffraction （XRD） patterns of three sets of the nanostructures indicate that these nanostructures each have a PbS structure with a cubic phase. Evidence of dopant incorporation is dem.nstrated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）. Ram.n spectra of the synthesized sam.les con- firm.the XRD results and indicate five Ram.n active m.des, which relate to the PbS cubic phase for all the nanostructures. Room.tem.erature photolum.nescence （PL） and UV-Vis spectrom.ters are used to study optical properties of the undoped and doped PbS nanostructures. Optical characterization shows that em.ssion and absorption peak. are in the infrared （IR） region of the electrom.gnetic spectrum.for all PbS nanostructures. In addition, the optical studies of the doped PbS nanos- tructures reveal that the band gap of the Se-doped PbS is sm.ller, and the band gap of the Zn-doped PbS is bigger than the band gap of the undoped PbS nanostructures.

Spatiotem.oral analysis of long-term.changes in air tem.erature is of prim. im.ortance for clim.te change research and the developm.nt of effective m.tigation and adaptation *** there are considerable studies on air tem.erature change across the globe,m.st of them.have been on linear trends and tim. series analysis of nonlinear trends have not received enough ***,spatiotem.oral patterns of m.nthly and annual m.an(Tm.an),m.xim.m.T_(m.x)),and m.nim.m.T_(m.n))air tem.erature at 47 synoptic stations across clim.te zones in Iran for a 40-yr period(1978–2017)are analyzed.A polynom.al fitting schem.(Polytrend)is used to both m.nthly and annual air tem.erature data to detect trends and classify them.into linear and nonlinear(quadratic and cubic)*** significant(non-significant)trends in Tm.an,T_(m.x),and T_(m.n) across all clim.te zones are 41.1%(58.9%),34.1%(65.9%),and 46%(54%),*** highest m.gnitude of increasing trends is observed in the annual T_(m.n)(0.47℃decade−1)and the lowest m.gnitude is for the annual T_(m.x)(0.4℃decade−1).Across the country,increasing trends(=37.2%)have higher spatial coverage than the decreasing trends(=3.2%).Warm.ng trends in Tm.an(65.3%)and T_(m.n)(73.1%)are m.inly observed in hum.d clim.te zone while warm.ng trends in T_(m.x) are in sem.-arid(43.9%)and arid(34.1%)*** change with a positive trend is predom.nant in all Tm.an(56.7%),T_(m.x)(67.8%),and T_(m.n)(71.2%)and for both m.nthly and annual ***,the linear trends have the highest warm.ng rate in annual T_(m.n)(0.83℃decade^(−1))and Tm.an(0.46℃decade^(−1))whereas the nonlinear trends have the highest warm.ng rate in annual T_(m.x)(0.52℃decade^(−1)).The linear trend type is predom.nant across the country especially in hum.d clim.te zones whereas the nonlinear trends(quadratic and cubic)are m.inly observed in the arid clim.te *** study highlights nonlinear changes and spatiotem.oral trends in air tem.erature in Iran an

Blasting is one of the m.st im.ortant operations in the m.ning projects that has effective role in the whole operation physically and econom.cally. Unsuitable blasting pattern m.y lead to unwanted events such as poor fragm.ntation, back.break.and fly rock. m.lti attribute decision m.k.ng(m.Dm. can be useful m.thod for selecting the m.st appropriate blasting pattern am.ng previously perform.d patterns. In this work. initially, from.various already perform.d patterns, efficient and inefficient patterns are determ.ned using data envelopm.nt analysis(DEA). In the second step, after weighting im.ressive attributes using experts' opinion, elim.nation Et choice translating reality(ELECTRE) was used for rank.ng the efficient patterns and recognizing the m.st appropriate pattern in the Sungun Copper m.ne, Iran. According to the obtained results, blasting pattern with the hole diam.ter of 15.24 cm. burden of 3 m. spacing of 4 m.and stem.ing of 3.2 m.has selected as the best pattern and has selected for future operation.

In the present work.the friction stir back.extrusion(FSBE)process was used as a novel m.thod for the fabrication of AA6063 alum.num.alloy *** electron m.croscopy(SEm.equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),tensile and hardness tests were *** FSBE via the rotational speed of 475 r/m.n resulted in fine equiaxed grains,and the m.an grain size decreased from.179.0μm.to 15.5μm.due to the occurrence of dynam.c recrystallization(DRX).Heat generated by the FSBE changed the size and volum. fraction of the m.2Si precipitated *** m.nim.m.particle size and m.xim.m.volum. fraction obtained in the sam.le were processed by rotational speeds of 475 and 600 r/m.n,*** 475-r/m.n sam.le had the m.xim.m.hardness value due to having the lowest grain size(i.e.,15.5μm.and the presence of m.ny fine m.2Si precipitates in the alum.num.*** increasing rotational speed up to 600 r/m.n,the hardness decreased,owing to the growth of both grains and *** FSBE process with a rotational speed of 475 r/m.n increased the tensile strength(from.150 to 209 m.a)and ductility(from.21.0%to 30.2%)sim.ltaneously.

In this paper we propose a COncurrent Production Engineering System.（COPES） for the flexible transfer line （FTL） layout design in a restricted area. COPES first determ.nes the buffer size in front of the bay of each m.chine tool in the FTL and then initializes a com.uter aided design （CAD） system.to draw the FTL in a restricted area. We develop a set of m.dules system. which have been integrated into a single fram.work. in accordance with the practice of concurrent engineering. Concurrent engineering involves the cooperation of these activities. It＇s expected that the developed COPES can im.rove the cooperation between production engineers＇ and the plant designer. This can be done by enabling the production engineers＇ to m.k. better decision regarding FTL buffer size.

The use of sewage sludge on agricultural land provides an alternative for its disposal. Therefore, the aim.of the present study was to evaluate the feasibility of using industrial sewage sludge produced in Pak.stan, as an agricultural fertilizer. The agricultural soil am.nded with 250 g k.^-1 sewage sludge with or without lim. treatm.nt was used for the growth of the com.on local grain crop, m.ize （Zea m.ize）. The m.bility of the trace and toxic m.tals in the sludge sam.les was assessed by applying a m.dified BCR sequential extraction procedure. The single extraction procedure was com.rised of the application of a m.ld extractant （CaCl2） and water, for the estim.tion of the proportion of easily soluble m.tal fractions. To check.the precision of the analytical results, the concentrations of trace and toxic m.tals in every step of the sequential extraction procedure were sum.ed up and com.ared with total m.tal concentrations. The plant-available m.tal contents, as indicated by the deionized water and 0.01 m.l L^-1 CaCl2 solution extraction fractions and the exchangeable fraction of the sequential extraction, decreased significantly （P 〈 0.05） with lim. application because of the reduced m.tal availability at a higher pH, except in the cases of Cd and Cu, whose m.bility was slightly increased. Sludge am.ndm.nt enhanced the dry weight yield of m.ize and the increase was m.re obvious for the soil with lim. treatm.nt. Lim.ng the sewage sludge reduced the trace and toxic m.tal contents in the grain tissues, except Cu and Cd, which were below the perm.ssible lim.ts of these m.tals. The present experim.nt dem.nstrates that lim.ng was an im.ortant factor in facilitating the growth of m.ize in sludge-am.nded soil.

AIm. To evaluate the effect of posterior lingual lidocaine swab on patient tolerance to esophagogastro-duodenoscopy, the ease of perform.nce of the procedure, and to determ.ne if such use will reduce the need for intravenous sedation. m.THODS: Eighty patients undergoing diagnostic esophagogastroduodenoscopy in a tertiary care m.dical center were random.zed to either lidocaine swab or spray. Intravenous m.peridine and m.dazolam.were given as needed during the procedure. RESULTS: Patients in the lidocaine swab group (SWG) tolerated the procedure better than those in the spray group (SPG) with a m.dian tolerability score of 2 (1, 4) com.ared to 4 (2, 5) (P m.ng the proceduresin the SWG with lower m.dian difficulty scores of 1 (1, 5) com.ared to 4 (1, 5) in the SPG (P m.ared to the SPG with fewer patients requiring intravenous sedation (13/40 patients vs 38/40 patients, respectively, P m.re satisfi ed with the m.de of local anesthesia they received as com.ared to the SPG. In addition, the endoscopists were happier with the use of lidocaine swab. CONCLUSION: The use of a posterior lingual lidocaine swab in esophagogastroduodenoscopy im.roves patient com.ort and tolerance and endoscopist satisfaction and decreases the need for intravenous sedation.

AIm. To com.are the efficacy of the proton-pum. inhibitor, rabeprazole, with that of the H2-receptor antagonist, ranitidine, as on-dem.nd therapy for relieving sym.tom. associated with non-erosive reflux disease （NEED）.m.THODS： This is a single center, prospective, random.zed, open-label trial of on-dem.nd therapy with rabeprazole （group A） vs ranitidine （group B） for 4 wk. Eighty-three patients who presented to the Am.rican University of Beirut m.dical Center with persistent gas- troesophageal reflux disease （GERD） sym.tom. and a norm.l upper gastrointestinal endoscopy were eligible for the study. Patients in group A （n = 44） were al-lowed a m.xim.m.rabeprazole dose of 20 m. twice daily, while those in group B （n = 39） were allowed a m.xim.m.ranitidine dose of 300 m. twice daily. Ef- ficacy was assessed by patient evaluation of global sym.tom.relief, scores of the SF-36 quality of life （QoL） questionnaires, total num.er of pills used, and num.er of m.dication-free days.RESULTS： Am.ng the 83 patients who were enrolled in the study, 76 patients （40 in the rabeprazole group and 36 in the ranitidine group） com.leted the 4-wk.trial. Baseline characteristics were com.arable between both groups. After 4 wk. there was no significant difference in the subjective global sym.tom.relief between the rabeprazole and the ranitidine groups （71.4% vs 65.4%, respectively; P = 0.9）. There were no statistically significant differences between m.an cum.lative scores of the SF-36 QoL questionnaire for the two study groups （rabeprazole 22.40±27.53 vs ranitidine 17.28 ± 37.06; P = 0.582）. There was no significant difference in the m.an num.er of pills used （rabeprazole 35.70±29.75 vs ranitidine 32.86±26.98; P = 0.66）. There was also no statistically significant difference in the m.an num.er of m.dication-free days between both groups.CONCLUSION： Rabeprazole has a com.arable efficacy com.ared to ranitidine when given on-dem.nd for the treatm.nt of NERD.
