Preparation of capped silver nanoparticles using sunlight and cationic surfactants and their biological activity

Silver nanoparticles were prepared in situ using sunlight and cationic surfactants. Silver nano-particles were confirmed using UV-vis spectropbotometry, transmission electron microscopy （TEm）, electron diffraction, dynamic light scattering （DLS） and FTIR. Increasing the hydrophohic chain length of surfactants increase the amount of silver nano-particles formed in addition to increasing their stability. The results showed formed, uniform, well arranged hexagonal and spherical shapes. The prepared silver nanoparticles exhibit enhanced biological activity against Cram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and sulfate reducing bacteria （SRB）.

Hybrid nanofluids have attracted burgeoning attention owing to their outstanding capacity to improve heat *** influence of velocity and temperature slip parameter and nanoparticls’(NPs’)volume fraction on a vertical plate in the existence of suction has been explored in this *** investigation’s controlling partial differentiation equations were transformed into a conventional differential equation mechanism using resemblance *** were then solved employing the fifth-order Runge-Kutta *** skin coefficient of friction,temperature,and temperature gradient all rise when the volume percentage of NPs increases from 0 to 2%.Furthermore,a rise in the temperature slip variable was linked to a drop in the Nusselt number(heat transfer).The Nusselt number increased 0.15%and 5.63%respectively when the velocity slip parameter enhanced from 0 to 5 and the NPs volume percentage were increased from 0 to 1.5%.Furthermore,an increase in the temperature slip from 0 to 3 inflated the x-direction skin friction coefficient 8.2%,while inflation in the velocity slip from 0 to 5 was associated with a decline in the x-direction skin friction coefficient 95%.

The chemical structure of newly synthesized cationic surfactants based on Schiff base was confirmed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy,and mass *** synthesized surfactants were used in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles by a simple one-step *** silver nanoparticle（AgNPs） formation was confirmed using transmission electron microscopy（TEm）,electron diffraction（SAED）,dynamic light scattering（DLS）,and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy（EDX）.The structure of the surfactant played an important role in the synthesis *** the hydrophobic chain length,the stability,and the amount of surfactant increased the quantity of AgNPs *** surface activity of the synthesized cationic surfactants was determined using surface tension measurements at three different *** synthesized surfactants showed a high tendency toward adsorption and *** the hydrophobic chain length of the synthesized surfactant increased its *** the synthesized cationic surfactants and their nano-form against bacteria and fungi showed that they are highly *** silver nanoparticles enhanced the biological activity of the synthesized cationic surfactants.

A passive skylight system is a significant building design element that provides an ideal condition for interior spaces. However, the use of this system is limited to specific climatic regions because of its considerable effect on the indoor environment. malaysia is a tropical country that has favorable natural benefits, such as solar geometry and natural light, which can brighten building interiors throughout the year. However, harnessing this benefit affects spaces, especially those in single-story buildings, because of excessive natural loads. This study reviews a concept to understand the passive behavior of solar radiation in the form of light and heat that falls on, interacts with, and is emitted from a skylight system in a single-story building. The study method is theoretically based on descriptive analysis to assess design requirements. The review shows that designs grounded on the physical aspects of climate （influenced variables）, materials （design variables）, and human comfort （affected variables） in one process （ESI） can develop the architectural way of thinking rather than estimate the condition based on a limited perspective. This assumption indicates that the adoption of this concept in the preliminary design stage will enable designers to balance the building environment effectively.

In this study electrochemical performance of Al and some of its alloys （Al-Zn, Al-rvlg and Al-rvln） anodes vs mnO2 cathode were carried out in alkaline solution. The results show that the Al-Zn alloy anode has the best cell capacity among the other alloys. Cell capacity values go in the order Al-Zn〉Al-mg〉Al〉Al-mn. This result is probably related to the nature of passive films formed on the surface of the alloys which examined by scanning electron microscopy （SEm）. SEm morphologies of Al and its alloys showed coarse grains of passive films formed on the surface of these anode materials while Al-mn morphology shows a needle-like structure. Electrolytic manganese dioxide （EmD） produced by electrodepositing on platinum anode from liquor resulting from reduction of low grade pyrolusite ore （β-mnO2） by sulfur slag was characterized as cathode in alkaline Zn-mnO2 batteries. Ore produced sample （EmD1） was performed well in comparison with EmD standard （EmD2）（commercial battery grade electrolytic manganese dioxide, TOSOH-Hellas GH-S）. SEm morphology of Zn anode after cell reaction was carried out and showed that Zn anode has fine grains of passive film on its surface.

Granitoids and orthogneisses(1.7 Ga)from the northern part of the Banded Gneissic Complex(BGC-II domain),Aravalli Craton(NW India)are geochemically analyzed to understand the geodynamic condition and crustal evolution *** samples are metaluminous to peraluminous(molar A/CNK:0.74±2.12),and characterized by Eu-anomaly ranging from 0.17 to 1.06,Fe_(2)O_(3)^(T)/(Fe_(2)O_(3)^(T)+mgO)from 0.8 to 0.9 and high magmatic zircon saturation temperature(>830°C)which are the features suggestive of A-type granite *** discrimination diagrams classify the samples as post-collisional extensional A2-type *** characteristics along with trace element ratios[(Y/Nb)_(N)=0.15 to 4.33(avg.0.76),(Th/Nb)_(N)=4.63 to 255.47(avg.63.13),(Th/Ta)_(N)=1.37 to 9.84(avg.8.86),(Ce/Pb)_(N)=0.05 to 3.05(avg.1.43)]indicate that the rocks were derived from a plagioclase-rich and garnet-free crustal source under lowpressure ***,it is also proposed that tonalite-trondhjemite-granodiorite(TTG)rocks which occur dominantly in southern Rajasthan(BGC-I)are precursors and their partial melting led to the generation of the studied A-type granite *** studied samples also bear close geochemical similarity with A-type granites of similar age(1.7 Ga)near the Sakhun-Ladera region of northern *** studied A-type granites are believed to be coeval to similar aged A-type granites of the khetri and Alwar sub-basins of the North Delhi Fold Belt(NDFB).They are comparable in age and magmatic history to recorded A-type magmatism in North America and parts of the Chinese *** large geographical extents of synchronous A-type granites are proposed to be related to the Columbia Supercontinent assembly(ca.1.7 Ga;postcollisional granites).Thus,based on the studied extensional granites,we surmise that BGC-II was part of the Columbia Supercontinent.

The multilevel storage capability of nonvolatile resistive random access memory(ReRAm)is greatly de-sired to accomplish high functioning memory *** this study,Ta_(2)O_(5) thin film with different thick-nesses(2,4,and 6 nm)was exploited as an appropriate interfacial barrier layer for limiting the formation of the interfacial layer between the 10 nm thick sputtering deposited resistive switching(RS)layer and Ta ohmic electrode to improve the switching cycle endurance and *** show that lower form-ing voltage,narrow distribution of SET-voltages,good dc switching cycles(10^(3)),high pulse endurance(10^(6) cycles),long retention time(10^(4) s at room temperature and 100℃),and reliable multilevel resis-tance states were obtained at an appropriate thickness of∼2 nm Ta_(2)O_(5) interfacial barrier layer instead of without Ta_(2)O_(5) and with∼4 nm,and∼6 nm Ta_(2)O_(5) barrier layer,ZrO_(2)-based memristive ***,multilevel resistance states have been scientifically investigated via modulating the compliance current(CC)and RESET-stop voltages,which displays that all of the resistance states were distinct and stayed stable without any considerable deprivation over 10^(4) s retention time and 104 pulse endurance *** I-V characteristics of RESET-stop voltage(from−1.7 to−2.3 V)of HRS are found to be a good linear fit with the Schottky *** can be seen that Schottky barrier height rises by increasing the stop-voltage during RESET-operation,resulting in enhancing the data storage memory window(on/offratio).moreover,RESET-voltage and CC control of HRS and LRS revealed the physical origin of the RS mecha-nism,which entails the formation and rupture of conducting *** is thoroughly investigated that proper optimization of the barrier layer at the ohmic interface and the switching layer is essential in memristive *** results demonstrate that the ZrO_(2)-based memristive device with an optimized∼2 nm Ta_(2)O_(5) barrier

A vanadium complex （VO2（3-fl）） and CNT composite film based temperature sensor is reported in this study. Surface-type silver electrodes were deposited on the glass substrates. A thin film of VOE（3-fl） and CNT composite was coated as a temperature-sensing material on the top of the pre-patterned Ag electrodes. The temperature-sensing principle of the sensor was based on the conductivity change of the coated sensing element upon heating or cooling processes. DC and AC （100 Hz） resistances of the temperature sensor decreased quasi- linearly with increasing the temperature in the range of 25-80 ℃. The overall resistance of the sensor decreases by 1.8-2.1 and 1.9-2.0 times at DC and AC voltage, respectively. The resistance temperature coefficients of the sensor were in the range of-（0.9-1.3）% and -（1.1-1.3）% at DC and AC voltage, respectively. The properties of the sensor studied in this work, make it beneficial to be used in the instruments for environmental monitoring of temperature.
