m2BPGi for assessing liver fibrosis in patients with hepatitis C treated with direct-acting antivirals

BACKGROUND Assessing liver fibrosis is important for predicting the efficacy of direct-acting antivirals(DAAs)and patient ***-invasive techniques to assess liver fibrosis are becoming ***,serum mac-2 binding protein glycosylation isomer(m2BPGi)was identified as a non-invasive marker of liver *** To investigate the diagnostic accuracy of m2BPGi in assessing liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis C(CHC)treated with *** From December 2017 to August 2018,80 treatment-naive adult patients with CHC who were eligible for DAAs therapy were consecutively enrolled in this observational cohort *** 12 weeks,65 patients were treated with sofosbuvir/daclatasvir,and 15 patients were treated with sofosbuvir/daclatasvir and a weight-based dose of ribavirin at knowledge and technology association for hepatitis C management clinic,Cairo,*** measured serum m2BPGi levels,PAPAS index,fibrosis-4(FIB-4)score and liver stiffness measurements(LSm)at baseline and 12 weeks after the end of *** m2BPGi levels were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** All patients achieved sustained virologic response(SVR12)(100%).Serum m2BPGi levels,LSm,FIB-4 score and PAPAS index decreased significantly at SVR12(Pm m2BPGi levels correlated positively with LSm at baseline and SVR12(Pmpared with the FIB-4 score and PAPAS index,m2BPGi was the best marker to distinguish patients with grade F4 fibrosis(AUC=0.801,Pm grade F0-1 fibrosis(AUC=0.713,P=0.012),patients with grade F3-4 from grade F0-2 fibrosis(AUC=0.730,Pm grade F0-1 fibrosis(AUC=0.763,Pm2BPGi had the greatest AUCs for differentiating patients with grade F4 fibrosis(AUC=0.844,Pm grade F0-2 fibrosis(AUC=0.893,P=0.002),patients with grade F3-4 from grade F0-2 fibrosis(AUC=0.891,P<0.001),and patients with grad

This paper discusses the design of a wideband low noise amplifier（LNA） in which specific architecture decisions were made in consideration of system-on-chip implementation for radio-astronomy *** LNA design is based on a novel ultra-low noise InGaAs/InAlAs/InP *** and non-linear modelling of this pHEmT has been used to design an LNA operating from 2 to 4 GHz.A common-drain in cascade with a common source inductive degeneration,broadband LNA topology is proposed for wideband *** proposed configuration achieved a maximum gain of 27 dB and a noise figure of 0.3 dB with a good input and output return loss（S11〈—10 dB,S22〈—11 dB）.This LNA exhibits an input 1-dB compression point of-18 dBm,a third order input intercept point of 0 dBm and consumes 85 mW of power from a 1.8 V supply.

There is a need to develop interventions to slow or reverse the degeneration of dopamine neurons in Parkinson’s disease after *** that preclinical and clinical studies suggest benefits of dietary n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids,such as docosahexaenoic acid,and exercise in Parkinson’s disease,we investigated whether both could synergistically interact to induce recovery of the dopaminergic ***,mice received a unilateral stereotactic injection of 6-hydroxydopamine into the striatum to establish an animal model of nigrostriatal *** weeks after lesion,animals were fed a docosahexaenoic acid-enriched or a control diet for the next 8 *** this period,the animals had access to a running wheel,which they could use or *** acid treatment,voluntary exercise,or the combination of both had no effect on(i)distance traveled in the open field test,(ii)the percentage of contraversive rotations in the apomorphine-induction test or(iii)the number of tyrosine-hydroxylase-positive cells in the substantia nigra pars ***,the docosahexaenoic acid diet increased the number of tyrosine-hydroxylase-positive terminals and induced a rise in dopamine concentrations in the lesioned *** to docosahexaenoic acid treatment or exercise alone,the combination of docosahexaenoic acid and exercise(i)improved forelimb balance in the stepping test,(ii)decreased the striatal DOPAC/dopamine ratio and(iii)led to increased dopamine transporter levels in the lesioned *** present results suggest that the combination of exercise and docosahexaenoic acid may act synergistically in the striatum of mice with a unilateral lesion of the dopaminergic system and provide support for clinical trials combining nutrition and physical exercise in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.

Effects of the partial replacement of La by m(m=Ce,Ca and Sr) in La_(2-x)m_xCuO_4 perovskites on catalysis of the water-gas shift reaction

The performance of La2-x m x CuO4 perovskites （where m=Ce,Ca or Sr） as catalysts for the water-gas shift reaction was investigated at 290℃ and 360℃.The catalysts were characterized by EDS,XRD,N2 adsorption-desorption,XPS and *** XRD results showed that all the perovskites exhibited a single phase （the presence of perovskite structure）,suggesting the incorporation of metals in the perovskite *** XPS and XANES results showed the presence of Cu2＋ on the *** perovskites that exhibited the best catalytic performance were La 2 x Ce x CuO 4 perovskites,with CO conversions of 85% 90%.moreover,these perovskites have higher surface areas and larger amounts of Cu on the *** Ce has a higher filled energy level than the other metals,increasing the energy of the valence band of Ce and providing more electrons for the ***,the La1.80Ca0.20CuO4 perovskite showed a good catalytic performance.

Petrology, geochemistry, radioactivity, and m–W type rare earth element tetrads of El Sela altered granites, south eastern desert,Egypt

The southern part of the Eastern Desert of Egypt—about 30 km southwest of Abu-Ramad city—is mainly covered by ophiolitic rocks(Sul Hamed), island arc assemblage, younger granites(muscovite granites of Qash Amer and two mica granites of El Sela), and various acidic and basic dikes. Field, petrological, and geochemical studies indicate that the El Sela shear zone has been subject to hydrothermal and supergene alteration such as kaolinization, albitization, sericitization, and hematitization. It is invaded by quartz ENE–WSW veins associated with hydrothermal alteration accompanied by radioactive mineralization. The investigated younger granitic rocks had very low contents of compatible elements, such as Cr, Ni,and Co; and high contents of incompatible elements, such as Zr, and large ion lithophiles, such as Sr, especially in the El Sela shear zone. major oxide and trace element analyses revealed calc-alkaline affinity and peraluminous *** highly differentiated granitic rocks' lower Zr/Hf and higher Y/Ho than the normal ratio are consistent with hydrothermal alteration. most samples had rare earth element(REE)-patterns with an m-type tetrad effect in the first and fourth segments and a W-type tetrad in the third segment. The average ∑REE in the studied granites was lower than the world granite average; the ratio of light to heavy REEs greater. The main radioactive, uranium-bearing, and uraniferous Fe and mn minerals are uranothorite,autunite, uranophane and autunite as compounds, kasolite,columbite, xenotime, uranophane-bearing zircon and jarosite, silver-bearing pyrite, hematite, and autunite-bearing pyrolusite.
