Biosensor development has recently advanced as a result of their strong and indisputable uses as analytical methods in a variety of sectors,including medicine,food industry,environmental monitoring,metabolism,agriculture,military,and *** popularity of biosensors as devices for a variety of applications may be ascribed to their distinct advantages of fast or rapid analysis,high sensitivity,minimal sample demand and preparation,and no need for the specific skill of operation that traditional analytical procedures *** attempted to update earlier studies in this study by incorporating other materials that have been in use but have received less attention,such as carbon nano-onions(CNOs),metal-organic frameworks(mOFs),and biopolymers for biosensor manufacturing and design based on their unique *** assessment also took into account applicable applications in many *** considerable progress has been made in the application of biosensors,there is still a need for research development and enhancement,particularly in transforming most of the laboratory experiments that have already been published into portable on-site and implementable in the public domains.

Due to a complex geological and biotic history,the Isthmus of Tehuantepec(IT),has been long recognized as a driver for the evolutionary divergence of numerous lowland and highland *** distributed in the lowlands of the American continent,the White-Tipped Dove(leptotila verreauxi)is a polytypic species with 13 recognized *** of these have been recorded in mexico,and the distribution of three abuts at the IT,suggesting a contact *** estimate phylogenetic patterns,divergence times and genetic differentiation,we examined two mt DNA(ND2 and COI)and one n DNA(β-fibint 7)*** also used correlative ecological niche models(ENm)to assess whether ecological differences across the IT may have acted as a biogeographical *** estimated paleodistributions during the middle Holocene,last Glacial maximum and last Interglacial,to evaluate the influence of climate changes on the distribution and demographic *** results showed genetically distinct lineages that diverged approximately 2.5 million years *** and ecological factors may have played a dual role in promoting differentiation,but also in the formation of a secondary contact zone in the southern *** ecological niche comparisons indicated that the ecological niche of sympatric lineages at the IT are not identical,suggesting niches divergence;in addition,environmental niche models across the region indicated no abrupt biogeographic barriers,but the presence of regions with low *** results suggest that genetic differentiation originated by a vicariant event probably related to environmental factors,favored the evolution of different ecological ***,the absence of a biogeographic barrier but the presence of less suitable areas in the contact regions,suggest that secondary contact zones may be also maintained by climatic factors for the eastern group,but also by biotic interactions for the western group.

Enhancement of the CO_(2)adsorption and hydrogenation to ch_(4)capacity of Ru–Na–Ca/γ–Al_(2)O_(3)dual function material by controlling the Ru calcination atmosphere

This work reports the growth and characterization of p-AlInN layers doped with mg by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy(PAmBE).AlInN was grown with an Al molar fraction of 0.80 by metal-modulated epitaxy(mmE)with a thickness of 180 nm on Si(111)substrates using AlN as buffer *** substrate temperatures were used to enhance the incorporation of indium atoms into the alloy without clustering,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Cathodoluminescence measurements revealed ultraviolet(UV)range ***,Hall effect measurements indicated a maximum hole mobility of 146 cm^(2)/(V∙s),corresponding to a free hole concentration of 1.23×10^(19)cm^(−3).The samples were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)estimating the alloy composition and extracting the Fermi level by valence band ***-doped AlInN layers were studied for use as the electron-blocking layer(EBl)in lED *** varied the Al composition in the EBl from 0.84 to 0.96 molar fraction to assess its theoretical effects on electroluminescence,carrier concentration,and electric field,using SIlVACO *** results from this study highlight the importance and capability of producing high-quality mg-doped p-AlInN layers through *** simulations suggest that an Al content of 0.86 is optimal for achieving desired outcomes in electroluminescence,carrier concentration,and electric field.

morphometry and mineral Content in the Seeds and Soil of Two Species of Argemone l.(Papaveraceae)in the Central Part of the chihuahuan Desert

The genus Argemone l.(Papaveraceae)is found widely distributed in mexico’s chihuahuan Desert(CD).Some species of this genus are of phytochemical or ethnobotanical *** are inedible plants considered as *** date they have not been broadly studied;thus,their ecology is,to our knowledge,*** present work was centered around carrying out a morphometric analysis and the determination of minerals in the soil and seeds of the wild populations of Argemone at sites belonging to two ecoregions of the CD in *** April 2021 and April 2022,seeds of Argemone spp.,and soil samples were collected at 10 sites of the *** seeds were selected under a randomized design,and weight,length,diameter,thickness,buoyancy,and mineral content were *** soil samples were obtained under the mexican regulation NOm-021-RECNAT-2000,and determinations of mineral content,electrical conductivity,apparent density,and soluble anions were *** information obtained was grouped by variable,species,and place of *** statistical tests consisted of an ANOVA,Tukey means tests considering p≤0.05,and a Principal Components *** pleiacantha exhibited differences in terms of weight(F=54.79,p=0.001),length(F=90.83,p=0.001),thickness(F=104.89,p=0.001),and diameter(F=155.82,p=0.001),and the differences in Argemone mexicana were in weight(F=46.71,p=0.001),thickness(F=187.49,p=0.001),length(F=191.56,p=0.001),and diameter(F=215.83,p=0.001).The evaluated seeds reached their maximal imbibition velocity at 24 h of *** content of the micro-and macro-nutrients analyzed in the seeds and soil suggest a tight relation with the morphometric characteristics of the seeds.

Biodegradable nanoparticles such as chitosan nanoparticles (CSNPs) are used in sustainable agriculture since theyavoid damage to the environment;CSNPs have positive effects such as the accumulation of bioactive compoundsand increased productivity in plants. This study aimed to investigate the impact of applying CSNPs on lettuce,specifically focusing on enzymatic activity, bioactive compounds, and yield. The trial was conducted using a completelyrandomized design, incorporating CSNPs: 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, and 0.8 mg ml−1. The doses of 0.4 mg ml−1improve yields up to 24.6% increases and 0.1 mg ml−1 of CSNPs increases total phenols by 31.2% and antioxidantcapacity by 34.6%. In addition, when low concentrations of CSNPs (0.05 and 0.1 mg l−1) were applied, anincrease in catalase was determined. The CSNPs represent a good alternative to be used as a biostimulant in sustainableagriculture because they improve the yield and quality of lettuce by increasing the bioactive compounds.

Solid-liquid extraction for yttrium recovery using porous polymeric resin(XAD-7) functionalized with D_(2)EHPA

The recovery of yttrium is proposed by applying a solid-liquid extraction process using di-2-ethyl hexylphosphoric acid(D2EHPA) as extracting *** extracting agents were supported on a macro porous polymeric resin XAD-7(solid phase).Yttrium ions extraction and discharge tests were performed,firstly from a synthetic aqueous solution of 100 mg/l Y(liquid phase) at 25℃ with *** effects of pH of aqueous solutions bearing yttrium,volume fraction of extracting agents and the solid/liquid(S/l)ratio on the yttrium recovery were *** most favorable conditions for yttrium ions extraction are;20 vol% D_(2)EHPA functionalized resin,pH=1.5 and an S/l ratio of 10 mg/ml The discharge of yttrium ions was done under the same conditions of extraction stage,using a 2 mol/l [H_(2)SO_(4)] as stripping *** to 80% yttrium is extracted,while 75% yttrium is recovered in the striping *** all experiments,the reaction equilibrium is reached after 20 min,and the kinetics for the extraction stage was determined as a second-order ***,experiments were carried out to discharge the yttriumloaded resins,and it has been determined that the best pH value to strip the Y ions is *** tests of extraction and discharge for yttrium ions show that the functionalized resin can work at least five cycles without decreasing its ***,the proposed process was tested in a real solution with Y ions fro m a waste fluorescent la mp powder leached in H_(2)SO_(4),demonstrating the ability to effectively recover yttrium,separating it from various metals from the studied residue.

In this review,the possibilities of photochemical and electrochemical water splitting(WS)using porphyrins,phthalocyanines,related macrocycles,and their metal complexes are *** efforts are being carried out in order to develop novel and cheap methods for water decomposition to generate inexhaustible greener energy sources(molecular hydrogen)instead of oil and *** processes of WS in heterogeneous and homogeneous media require novel photo-and electrocatalysts,in particular those on macrocycle basis.A high WS efficiency has been observed for porphyrins and phthalocyanines,showing their suitability both for HER and OER processes are available using these relative compounds for WS *** can be used in photocatalytic and electrocatalytic WS processes both in their free forms or as metal porphyrins/porphyrinates,mainly loaded on various inorganic materials,such as Au NPs,C_(3)N_(4),GaP,KTaO_(3),GaP,and so on,as part of porphyrin-containing polymers or on electrode surface as modifying coatings,being sometimes better than commercial catalysts,such as Pt/*** H2 evolution can be considerably depended on the shape of porphyrin particles;in particular,porphyrin nanowires can yield up to 20 times more H2 than its *** certain cases,both HER and OER can be driven in the same electrolyte using metal *** capacity of metal porphyrins to generate ROS(in particular,singlet oxygen 1O_(2))under ultrasonic treatment is known and can be successfully used for H_(2)O_(2) and O_(2) *** can be used in similar processes in free form or as composites with inorganic or organic counterparts,being immobilized on nanocarbons,metal oxides and salts,or simply dissolved in water acting in a homogeneous *** additional use of ultrasound can lead to better results due to the synergistic effect of the sonochemical treatment and ***-organic frameworks are also applied for WS purposes and are mainly based

The relationship between DNA fragmentation and the intensity of morphologically abnormal human spermatozoa

Objective:To determine the relationship between teratozoospermia and sperm DNA fragmentation(SDF)in the human ***:This retrospective study included 100 normozoospermic men as a control cohort(abnormal forms>14%),210 patients with a high level of abnormal forms(≤4%)and 65 patients presenting with a moderate level of abnormal forms(>4%to≤14%)based on the World Health Organization *** morphology was assessed using bright field *** DNA fragmentation was assessed using the sperm chromatin dispersion ***-parametric analyses were conducted to examine the relationship between abnormal sperm morphology and sperm DNA fragmentation;receiver operating characteristic(ROC)analyses were conducted to assess sensitivity and specificity of this ***:A correlation analysis revealed that the higher the proportion of abnormal spermatozoa in the ejaculate,the higher the level of SDF(Spearman's Rho=-0.230;Pll cohorts were compared(Plso retained when the different cohorts were compared *** analysis showed a moderate but significant predictive value for SDF to differentiate patients with different levels of ***:Although analysis of a more continuous range of values for teratozoospermia would help further clarify any causal relationship with SDF,there is clearly a synergistic or coincident affiliation between these variables that needs to be acknowledged by the clinician when interpreting the spermiogram.

Comparison of methods for Nitrate Interpolation in Wells in Aguascalientes, mexico

The accuracy of interpolation models applied to groundwater depends, among other factors, on the interpolation method chosen. Therefore, it is necessary to compare different approaches. For this, different methods of interpolation of nitrate concentrations were contrasted in sixty-seven wells in an aquifer in Aguascalientes, mexico. Four general interpolation methods were used in ArcGIS 10.5 to make the maps: IDW, Kriging, Natural Neighbor and Spline. In the modeling, only method type was varied. The input parameters (location, temporality, and nitrate concentration) were the same in the four interpolations;despite this, different maximum and minimum values were obtained for each interpolation method: for IDW, 0.2 to 22.0 mg/l, for Kriging, 3.5 to 16.5 mg/l, for Natural Neighbor, 0.3 to 21.7 mg/l and for Spline −30.8 to 37.2 mg/l. Finally, an assessment of the maps obtained was conducted by comparing them with the Official mexican Standard (OmS), where 24 of the 67 wells were found outside the 10 mg/l that the OmS establishes as maximum permissible limit for human consumption. Taking as a starting point the measured values of nitrates (0.25 to 22.12 mg/l), as well as the spatial distribution of the interpolated values, it was determined that the Krigging method best fitted the data measured in the wells within the studied aquifer.
