In this paper, the concepts of approximate character amenability （contractibility）, uniform approximate character amenability （contractibility） and w^＊-approximate character amenability are introduced. We are concerned with the relations among the generalized concepts of character amenability for Banach algebras. We show that approximate character amenability, w^＊-approximate character amenability and approximate character contractibility are the same properties, as uniform approximate character amenability and character amenability as uniform approximate character contractibility and character contractibility. The general theory for these concepts is also developed. Moreover, approximate character amenability of several concrete classes of Banach algebras related to locally compact groups and also some discrete semigroups is considered.

Although sulfonation plays crucial roles in various biological processes and is frequently utilized in medicinal chemistry to improve water solubility and chemical diversity of drug leads,it is rare and underexplored in ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptides(RiPPs).Biosynthesis of RiPPs typically entails modification of hydrophilic residues,which substantially increases their chemical stability and bioactivity,albeit at the expense of reducing water solubility.To explore sulfonated RiPPs that may have improved solubility,we conducted co-occurrence analysis of RiPP class-defining enzymes and sulfotransferase(ST),and discovered two distinctive biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs)encoding both lanthipeptide synthetase(LanM)and ST.Upon expressing these BGCs,we characterized the structures of novel sulfonated lanthipeptides and determined the catalytic details of LanM and ST.We demonstrate that SslST-catalyzed sulfonation is leader-independent but relies on the presence of A ring formed by LanM.Both LanM and ST are promiscuous towards residues in the A ring,but ST displays strict regioselectivity toward Tyr5.The recognition of cyclic peptide by ST was further discussed.Bioactivity evaluation underscores the significance of the ST-catalyzed sulfonation.This study sets up the starting point to engineering the novel lanthipeptide STs as biocatalysts for hydrophobic lanthipeptides improvement.

针对黑猩猩优化算法存在易陷入局部最优、收敛速度慢、寻优精度低等缺陷,提出混合改进策略的黑猩猩优化算法(SLWChOA).首先,利用Sobol序列初始化种群,增加种群的随机性和多样性,为算法全局寻优奠定基础;其次,引入基于凸透镜成像的反向学习策略,将其应用到当前最优个体上产生新的个体,提高算法的收敛精度和速度;同时,将水波动态自适应因子添加到攻击者位置更新处,增强算法跳出局部最优的能力;最后,通过10个基准测试函数、Wilcoxon秩和检验以及部分CEC2014函数进行仿真实验来评价改进算法的寻优性能,实验结果表明,所提算法在寻优精度、收敛速度和鲁棒性上均较对比算法有较大提升.另外,通过一个机械优化设计实验进行测试分析,进一步验证了SLWChOA的可行性和适用性.

Zinc-air batteries(ZABs)are promising energy storage systems because of high theoretical energy density,safety,low cost,and abundance of zinc.However,the slow multi-step reaction of oxygen and heavy reliance on noble-metal catalysts hinder the practical applications of ZABs.Therefore,feasible and advanced non-noble-metal elec-trocatalysts for air cathodes need to be identified to promote the oxygen catalytic reaction.In this review,we initially introduced the advancement of ZABs in the past two decades and provided an overview of key developments in this field.Then,we discussed the work-ing mechanism and the design of bifunctional electrocatalysts from the perspective of morphology design,crystal structure tuning,interface strategy,and atomic engineering.We also included theoretical studies,machine learning,and advanced characterization technologies to provide a comprehensive understanding of the structure-performance relationship of electrocatalysts and the reaction pathways of the oxygen redox reactions.Finally,we discussed the challenges and prospects related to designing advanced non-noble-metal bifunctional electrocatalysts for ZABs.

Background:The effects of acupuncture have varied in different randomized controlled trials(RCTs),and there are many factors that influence treatment effect of acupuncture in different outcomes,with conflicting results.Objective:To identify factors and their impact on the treatment effect of acupuncture in different outcomes.Methods:Acupuncture RCTs were searched from 7 databases including Medline(Pub Med),Embase,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database,VIP Database,and China Biology Medicine disc between January 1st,2015 and December 31st,2019.Eligible studies must compare acupuncture to no acupuncture,sham acupuncture,or waiting lists,and report at least 1patient-important outcome.A multi-level meta-regression was conducted using a 3-level robust mixed model and univariate analyses were performed for all independent variables,even those excluded from the multivariable model due to collinearities.We used thresholds of 0.2 and 0.4 for the difference of standardized mean differences(SMDs),categorising them as small(0.4) effects.Results:The pain construct analysis involved 211 effect estimates from 153 studies and 14 independent variables.High-frequency acupuncture treatment sessions produced larger effects compared to low-frequency sessions [large magnitude,the difference of adjusted SMDs 0.46,95% confidence interval(CI) 0.07 to 0.84;P=0.02].The non-pain symptoms construct analysis comprised 323 effect estimates from 231 studies and 15 independent variables.Penetrating acupuncture showed moderately larger effects when compared to non-penetrating acupuncture(0.30,95% CI 0.06 to 0.53;P=0.01).The function construct analysis included 495 effect estimates from 274 studies and 14 independent variables.Penetrating acupuncture and the flexible acupuncture regimen showed moderately larger effects,compared to non-penetrating acupuncture and fixed regimen,respectively(0.40,95% CI 0 to 0.80;P=0.05;0.29,95% CI 0.06 to 0.53;P=0.01).

Ferroelastic hybrid perovskite materials have been revealed the significance in the applications of switches,sensors,actuators,etc.However,it remains a challenge to design high-temperature ferroelastic to meet the requirements for the practical applications.Herein,we reported an one-dimensional organicinorganic hybrid perovskites(OIHP)(3-methylpyrazolium)CdCl_(3)(3-MBCC),which possesses a mmmF2/m ferroelastic phase transition at 263 K.Moreover,utilizing crystal engineering,we replace-CH_(3) with-NH_(2) and-H,which increases the intermolecular force between organic cations and inorganic frameworks.The phase transition temperature of(3-aminopyrazolium)CdCl_(3)(3-ABCC),and(pyrazolium)CdCl_(3)(BCC)increased by 73 K and 10 K,respectively.Particularly,BCC undergoes an unconventional inverse temperature symmetry breaking(ISTB)ferroelastic phase transition around 273 K.Differently,it transforms from a high symmetry low-temperature paraelastic phase(point group 2/m)to a low symmetry high-temperature ferroelastic phase(point group ī)originating from the rare mechanism of displacement of organic cations phase transition.It means that crystal BCC retains in ferroelastic phase above 273 K until melting point(446 K).Furthermore,characteristic ferroelastic domain patterns on crystal BCC are confirmed with polarized optical microscopy.Our study enriches the molecular mechanism of ferroelastics in the family of organic-inorganic hybrids and opens up a new avenue for exploring high-temperature ferroic materials.

This study aimed to examine the effects of inoculating Fritillaria taipaiensis P.Y.Li leaves with different strains ofpotassium-solubilizing bacteria (KSB), or combinations thereof, focusing on aspects of photosynthesis and physiologicaland biochemical characteristics. At present, some studies have only studied the rhizosphere microbialcommunity characteristics of F. taipaiensis and have not discussed the effects of different microbial species on thegrowth promotion of F. taipaiensis. This paper will start from the perspective of potassium-solubilizing bacteria toconduct an in-depth study. Seed cultivation commenced at the base with three different KSBs in early October2022. The growth of F. taipaiensis leaves was observed after different treatments. Both single-plant and compoundinoculations were executed. A total of eight treatment groups were established, with aseptic fertilizer and sterilizedsoil functioning as the control group. The results reveal that intercellular CO_(2) concentration (Ci), stomatal conductance(Gs), and transpiration rate (Tr) were at their apex in the S7 group. Most treatment groups exhibited anincrease in leaf area, photosynthetic pigment content, soluble sugar, soluble protein, Superoxide Dismutase(SOD), Peroxidase (POD), Catalase (CAT) activities, and proline content. The expression levels of POD, SOD,and CAT genes were evaluated, following inoculation with different KSB. The highest was the S7 group. Theinoculation with various KSB, or combinations thereof, appears to bolster the growth and development of F. taipaiensis.The composite inoculation group S7, comprising Bacillus cereus, Burkholderia cepacia, and Bacillus subtilis,manifested the most favorable impact on the diverse indices of F. taipaiensis, thereby furnishing valuableinsights for the selection of bacterial fertilizer in the artificial cultivation of F. taipaiensis.

In order to explore the impact of circadian disturbance on erectile function,we randomly divided 24 adult male rats into groups of control(light on at 8:00 a.***.and off at 8:00 p.m.),dark/dark(DD;constant dark),light/light(LL;constant light),and shift dark/light(DL;light off at 8:00 a.***.and on at 8:0o p.m.).Four weeks later,erectile function was measured and corpora cavernosa were harvested for analysis.The maximum intracavernous pressure(mlcP)and mCP/mean arterial pressure(MAP)ratio in the DD,LL,and DL groups were significantly lower than that in the control group.The LL and DL groups showed significantly attenuated endothelial nitric oxide synthase(eNOS),while DD,LL,and DL showed reduced neuronal nitric oxide synthase(nNOS)at both mRNA and protein levels.The production of nitric oxide(NO)and cyclic guanosinemonophosphate(cGMP)was inhibited by altered light/dark cycles to varying degrees.Circadian disturbance impaired endothelial function and contributed to erectile dysfunction.For the core circadian elements,mRNA expression of circadian locomotor output cycles kaput(Clock)and brain/muscle aryl-hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator-like protein 1(Bmal1)was elevated in the DL group,but their protein expression was not significantly changed.DD,LL,and DL increased period 1(Per1)and Per3 levels,while LL and DL increased PER1 levels.No significant difference was found for Per2levels,and PER2 and PER3 concentrations were not significantly changed.Moreover,LL and DL significantly increased cryptochrome-1(CRY1)and CRY2 at both mRNA and protein levels.The altered light/dark rat model showed that circadian disturbance contributed to erectile dysfunction probably by impairing endothelial function.Meanwhile,the core circadian elements were detected in the corpora cavernosa,but these were disrupted.However,which circadian element regulates erectile function and how it works need further analysis.

Low-Cycle Fatigue and Creep-Fatigue Behaviors of a Second-Generation Nickel-Based Single-Crystal Superalloy at 760℃

Low-cycle fatigue(LCF)behaviors of a second-generation nickel-based single-crystal superalloys with[001]orientation at 760℃ have been investigated.Different strain amplitudes were introduced to investigate the creep-fatigue effects.The LCF life of none tensile holding(NTH)was higher than that of the 60-s tensile hold(TH)at any strain amplitude.As the strain amplitude was 0.7%,the stacking and cross-slip dislocations appeared together at the γ/γ’coherent microstructure in both TH and NTH specimens.At the strain amplitude of 0.9%,plenty of the cross-slip dislocations appeared inγchannel and other dislocations were stacking at γ/γ’interfaces.However,the SFs still appeared in γ’phase with 60-s TH which caused cyclic softening.As the strain amplitude increased up to 1.2%,the dislocations are piling up at the γ/γ’interfaces and cutting through the γ’phase in both TH and NTH tests,which caused cyclic hardening.The influences of strain amplitude and holding time were complicated.Different stress response behaviors occurred in different loading conditions.The surface characteristic and fracture mechanism were observed by scanning electron microscopy.This result is helpful for building the relationship of various blade fatigue failure modes,cyclic stress response and microstructure deformation under different strain amplitudes.
