Effects of conductive agent type on lithium extraction from salt lake brine with liFePO_(4) electrodes

Electrochemical lithium extraction from salt lakes is an effective strategy for obtaining lithium at a low ***,the elevated Mg:li ratio and the presence of numerous coexisting ions in salt lake brines give rise to challenges,such as prolonged lithium extraction periods,diminished lithium extraction efficiency,and considerable environmental *** this work,li FePO4(LFP)served as the electrode material for electrochemical lithium *** conductive network in the LFP electrode was optimized by adjusting the type of conductive *** approach resulted in high lithium extraction efficiency and extended cycle *** the single conductive agent of acetylene black(AB)or multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)was replaced with the mixed conductive agent of AB/MWCNTs,the average diffusion coefficient of li+in the electrode increased from 2.35×10^(-9)or 1.77×10^(-9)to 4.21×10^(-9)cm^(2)·s^(-1).At the current density of 20 mA·g^(-1),the average lithium extraction capacity per gram of LFP electrode increased from 30.36 mg with the single conductive agent(AB)to 35.62 mg with the mixed conductive agent(AB/MWCNTs).When the mixed conductive agent was used,the capacity retention of the electrode after 30 cycles reached 82.9%,which was considerably higher than the capacity retention of 65.8%obtained when the single AB was ***,the electrode with mixed conductive agent of AB/MWCNTs provided good cycling *** the conductive agent content decreased or the loading capacity increased,the electrode containing the mixed conductive agent continued to show excellent electrochemical ***,a self-designed,highly efficient,continuous lithium extraction device was *** electrode utilizing the AB/MWCNT mixed conductive agent maintained excellent adsorption capacity and cycling performance in this *** work provides a new perspective for the electrochemical extraction of lithium using LFP electrodes.

Fuel consumption is one of the main concerns for heavy-duty *** cruise control(PCC)provides an intriguing opportunity to reduce fuel consumption by using the upcoming road *** this study,a real-time implementable PCC,which simultaneously optimizes engine torque and gear shifting,is proposed for heavy-duty *** minimize fuel consumption,the problem of the PCC is formulated as a nonlinear model predictive control(MPC),in which the upcoming road elevation information is *** the solution of the nonlinear MPC is time consuming;thus,a real-time implementable solver is developed based on Pontryagin’s maximum principle and indirect shooting *** programming(DP)algorithm,as a global optimization algorithm,is used as a performance benchmark for the proposed ***,hardware-in-the-loop and real-truck experiments are conducted to verify the performance of the proposed *** results demonstrate that the MPC-based solution performs nearly as well as the DP-based solution,with less than 1%deviation for testing ***,the proposed co-optimization controller is implementable in a real-truck,and the proposed MPC-based PCC algorithm achieves a fuel-saving rate of 7.9%without compromising the truck’s travel time.

Aqueous Zn-ion batteries(AZIBs) have emerged as potential candidates for li-ion batteries due to their intrinsic safety and high ***,metallic Zn anodes encounter dendrite growth and water-induced corrosion,rendering poor stability and severe irreversibility at the electrode/electrolyte interface during *** stabilize the Zn anode,we report a low-cost and effective nonionic surfactant,Tween-20 polymer,as an electrolyte additive for *** Tween-20,sequential oxyethylene groups tended to be preferentially adsorbed on the Zn electrode to form a shielding layer for regulating uniform Zn ***,the hydrophobic hendecyl chains prevented H_(2)O-induced corrosion on the Zn anode *** from the desired functional groups,when only trace amounts of Tween-20(0.050 g·L^(-1)) were used,the Zn anode displayed good cycling stability over 2170 h at10 mA·cm^(-2) and a high average Coulombic efficiency of98.94% over 1000 *** Tween-20 polymer can also be effectively employed in MnO_(2)/Zn full *** their toxicity,price and amount of usage,these surfactant additives provide a promising strategy for realizing the stability and reversibility of high-performance Zn anodes.

We investigate the ground states of spin-orbit coupled spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates in the presence of Zeeman *** introducing the generalized momentum operator,the linear version of the system is solved exactly,yielding a set of Bessel ***,based on linear solution and using variational approximation,the solutions for the full nonlinear system and their ground state phase diagrams are derived,including the vortex states with quantum numbers m=0,1,as well as mixed *** this work,mixed states in spin-1 spin-orbit coupling(SOC)BEC are interpreted for the first time as weighted superpositions of three vortex ***,the results also indicate that under strong Zeeman splitting,the system cannot form localized *** variational solutions align well with numerical simulations,showing stable evolution and meeting the criteria for long-term observation in experiments.

Polymeric carbon nitride(PCN)has garnered increasing attention as a metal-free photocatalyst with a suitable band *** efforts to enhance its photocatalytic performance,researchers have examined various PCN materials,including poly(heptazine imide)(PHI)and poly(triazine imide)(PTI),two isomers within the PCN family that exhibit distinct and superior photocatalytic activity compared to other *** challenge,however,lies in the common practice among researchers to categorize PHI and PTI along with other PCN types under the overarching term“g-C_(3)N_(4),”which significantly impedes optimization *** objective of this review is to provide comprehensive insights into the structural features,photoelectrochemical properties,and effective characterization methods employed for distinguishing between PHI and PTI *** review also summarizes various optimization strategies,such as crystallinity adjustments,defect engineering,morphology control,constructing heterojunction,and atomic-level metal loading dispersion,to elevate the photocatalytic activity of PHI and PTI,in addition to summarizing the history of carbon nitride ***,this review highlights the primary applications of PHI and PTI,encompassing nitrogen fixation,biomass conversion,organic synthesis,CO_(2)reduction,pollutant degradation,H_(2)O_(2)production,and photocatalytic water ***,the prospects and challenges associated with further advancing PHI and PTI are thoroughly examined.

Palladium-based alloy catalysts have been employed as one of the potential candidates for oxygen reduc-tion reaction(ORR),but the dissolution of transition metal hinders their ***,structure or-dered PdTe intermetallic with Pd shell(o-PdTe@Pd)are synthesized via an electrochemical etching driven surface reconstruction *** surface reconstruction could tune the electronic structure,weaken the adsorption energy of reaction intermediates on o-PdTe@Pd,resulting in enhanced electrocatalytic ac-tivity for *** mass activity of o-PdTe@Pd is about 3.3 and 2.7 times higher than that of Pd/C in acid and alkaline,***,the half-potentials for ORR decay only about 44 mV and 12 mV after 30 k cycles accelerated durability test in acid and alkaline media,*** enhanced dura-bility originates from the resistance of Te atoms dissolve in the ordered PdTe intermetallic core and the core-shell *** assembled in a Zn-air battery,o-PdTe@Pd electrode delivers a higher specific capacity(794 mAh/g)and better cycling stability than Pt/C.

Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory disease that may cause severe heart disease and *** pharmacotherapy for atherosclerosis shows limited *** the progression of atherosclerosis,monocyte adhesions and inflammatory macrophages play vital ***,precise regulations of inflammatory immune microenvironments in pathological tissues remain ***,we report an atherosclerotic plaque-targeted selenopeptide nanomedicine for inhibiting atherosclerosis progression by reducing monocyte adhesions and inflammation of *** targeted nanomedicine has 2.2-fold enhancement in atherosclerotic lesion *** oxidation-responsibility of selenopeptide enables eliminations of reactive oxygen species and specific release of anti-inflammatory drugs,thereby reducing inflammation responses of ***,we find the oxidative metabolite of selenopeptide,octadecyl selenite,can bind to P-selectin in a high affinity with a dissociation constant of 1.5μ*** in situ generated active seleno-species further inhibit monocyte adhesions for anti-inflammation in *** local regulations of monocyte adhesions and inflammations,the selenopeptide nanomedicine achieves 2.6-fold improvement in atherosclerotic plaque inhibition compared with simvastatin in the atherosclerosis mouse ***,the selenopeptide nanomedicine also displays excellent biological safety in both mice and rhesus *** study provides a safe and effective platform for regulating inflammatory immune microenvironments for inflammatory diseases such as atherosclerosis.
