Chitin powder and chitin-aerogel were prepared from shrimp wastes and used to uptake Y^(3+)from aqueous solutions and concentrate this rare earth element from phosphogypsum(PG).Chitin aerogel displays a specific surface area of 945 m^(2)/g,while chitin powder is 3.6 m^(2)/g,which largely influences its adsorption *** the adsorption in synthetic solutions,the effect of pH on Y^(3+)removal is strong for chitin powder *** contrast,no big pH influence was detected for chitin *** interactions and chelation can highlight the proposed mechanism of Y^(3+)on chitin adsorbents for the powder and ***,in addition to these interactions,pore filling/pore diffusion is the main mechanism of Y^(3+)removal in the chitin *** aerogel is efficient in concentrating 8 times the Y^(3+)from PG,a very complex *** complex chitin aerogel-Y^(3+)can be a secondary source of rare earth elements for other applications.

We investigated ^(50,52-54)Cr-induced fusion reactions for the synthesis of the superheavy element in the 104≤Z≤122 *** cross sections produced in this investigation using ^(54)Cr projectil.s.were compared with those obtained in prior *** estimated cross sections from this anal.s.s are consistent with the findings of prior *** the current study,the predicted cross section was found to be 42fb at 236 MeV for ^(53)Cr+^(243)Am,23.2 fb at 236 MeV for ^(54)Cr+^(247)Cm,95.6 fb at 240 MeV for ^(53)Cr+248Bk,and 1.33 fb at 242 MeV for ^(53)Cr+***,these projected cross sections with excitation energy and beam energy will be useful in future Cr-induced fusion reaction investigations.

The ability to make accurate energy predictions while considering all related energy factors allows production plants,regulatory bodies,and governments to meet energy demand and assess the effects of energy-saving *** energy consumption fal.s.within normal parameters,it will be possible to use the developed model to predict energy consumption and develop improvements and mitigating measures for energy *** objective of this model is to accurately predict energy consumption without data limitations and provide resul.s.that are easily *** proposed model is an implementation of the stacked long short-Term Memory(lsTM)snapshot ensemble combined with the Fast Fourier Transform(FFT)and *** and Berard’s Individual Household Electric-Power Consumption(IHEPC)dataset incorporated with weather data are used to anal.s. the model.s.accuracy with predicting energy *** model is trained,and the resul.s.measured using Root Mean square Error(RMsE),Mean Absolute Error(MAE),Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE),and coefficient of determination(R^(2))metrics are 0.020,0.013,0.017,and 0.999,*** stacked lsTM snapshot ensemble performs better than the compared models based on prediction accuracy and minimized *** resul.s.of this study show that prediction accuracy is high,and the model.s.stability is high as *** model.s.ows that high levels of accuracy prove accurate predictive ability,and together with high levels of stability,the model has good interpretability,which is not typically accounted for in ***,this study shows that it can be inferred.

In[***.A 107012427(2023)],Baldwin and Jones prove that Uhlmann–Jozsa’s fidelity between two quantum statesρandσ,i.e.,F(ρ,σ)=(Tr√√ρσ√ρ)^(2),can be written in a simplified form as F(ρ,σ)=(Tr√ρσ)^(2).In this article,we give an alternative proof of this result,using a function power series expansion and the properties of the trace *** approach not only reinforces the validity of the simplified expression but also facilitates the exploration of novel dissimilarity functions for quantum states and more complex trace functions of density operators.

Nowadays a major energy transition aimed at cutting CO 2 emissions has begun,with the ambitious goal of drasti-cally reducing the dependence on fossil fuels and promoting the use of renewable energy *** this context,energy storage systems play a key role in ensuring a stable,secure and time-aligned energy *** sorption thermal energy storages(TEss)can contribute to such transition,since they are simple and cheap devices able to provide a hot airflow with a high energy density and to store energy for long *** this work,open sorption TEs systems operated with Zeolite13X are investigated with a focus on the integration in practical ***,the experimental anal.s.s and modelling of the sole TEs system is ***,the integration of the TEs at system level is carried *** anal.s.s evidences that a significant reduction of storage capac-ity occurs if air humidification is necessary before the adsorption process or afterwards to keep adequate indoor comfort conditions for the *** the exemplary case study considered,an energy density of 150 kWhm^(−3) can drop to 40 kWhm−3 in case of complete compensation of the adsorbed water through a *** paper provides useful guidelines for evaluating the performance of a TEs integrated system in terms of specific energy and *** also identifies applications involving high latent loads(e.g.,swimming pools,locker rooms)or for which low relative air humidity is required(*** of vehicl.s.to prevent condensation on windows)as particularly beneficial for using a TEs system.

This work reports the growth and characterization of p-AlInN layers doped with Mg by pl.s.a-assisted molecular beam epitaxy(PAMBE).AlInN was grown with an Al molar fraction of 0.80 by metal-modulated epitaxy(MME)with a thickness of 180 nm on si(111)substrates using AlN as buffer *** substrate temperatures were used to enhance the incorporation of indium atoms into the alloy without cl.s.ering,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Cathodoluminescence measurements revealed ultraviolet(UV)range ***,Hall effect measurements indicated a maximum hole mobility of 146 cm^(2)/(V∙s),corresponding to a free hole concentration of 1.23×10^(19)cm^(−3).The sampl.s.were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPs)estimating the alloy composition and extracting the Fermi level by valence band ***-doped AlInN layers were studied for use as the electron-blocking layer(EBl)in lED *** varied the Al composition in the EBl from 0.84 to 0.96 molar fraction to assess its theoretical effects on electroluminescence,carrier concentration,and electric field,using sIlVACO *** resul.s.from this study highlight the importance and capability of producing high-quality Mg-doped p-AlInN layers through *** simulations suggest that an Al content of 0.86 is optimal for achieving desired outcomes in electroluminescence,carrier concentration,and electric field.

Climate has changed sufficiently over the l.s. 150 years and forced out upper treeline advance at the most studied sites around the *** rate of advance has been extremely variable–from tens to hundreds meters in *** is because the degree at which tree frontal populations respond to climate change depends on the complex interaction of biological and physical *** resulting stand pattern is the consequence of the interaction between dispersal and survival functions.A few publications have addressed the question of how this pattern is *** order to understand how the spatial.s.ructure of tree stands was formed at the upper limit of their distribution in the Ural Mountains,we assessed the distance and direction of dispersal of offspring from maternal *** found that in frontal larix sibirica ***,‘effective’dispersal of offspring ranges from 3 to 758 m(with a median of 20–33 m in open forest and 219 m in single-tree tundra in the Polar Urals and 107 m in open forest in the Northern Urals).We revealed that most of the offspring effectively dispersed not only in the direction of the prevailing winds,but also in the opposite direction up the slope,and the distance can reach 500–760 *** data obtained can be used to develop an individual-based model which is capable of simulating in detail the dynamics of tree stands at the upper limit of their growth and reliably predicting the future position and pattern of treeline ecotone as growth conditions continue to improve in the face of observed climate change.

An environmentally friendly method using real or artificial bovine milk permeate to both depilate and preserve sheepskins has been reported which completely and cleanly removed the wool from the hair follicle and had no detrimental effects on the skin.A proteomic anal.s.s,assessing the relative abundance of proteins in matched permeate-depilated and chemically depilated(sulfide)sheepskins,showed variations in the levels of specific collagen types in the skin's basement membrane and other proteins associated with the *** findings were corroborated by biochemical anal.s.s of matched permeate depilated and raw skin sampl.s.and provide clues to the mechanism of non-invasiveand complete *** also support the observation that permeate-depilated skins were smoother than their sulfide-depilated counterparts and resulted in leather with a superior surface.

The oxidation behavior of Ni-based superalloy GH4742 exposed to water vapor was investigated at 900-1100℃for 50 h in Ar+20%H_(2)O,with Ar+20%O_(2)included for *** presence of H_(2)O is adverse to formation of continuous Cr_(2)O_(3)oxide layer but contributes to generation of big *** on this,Ni^(2+)and Co^(2+)are more easily to diffuse towards the outermost oxide layer(OOl),forming non-protective Ni-and Co-rich oxides with high *** leads to a higher weight gain in Ar+20%H_(2)O than that in Ar+20%O_(2).At elevated temperatures,the spallation of oxide scale occurs while the consumption of Cr is reduced in Ar+20%H_(2)O,and the contents of Ni-and Co-rich oxides at this moment are reduced in the *** oxidation mechanism was also discussed.

This paper deals with the problem of the prediction and control of cholera outbreak using real data of *** first develop and analyze a deterministic model with seasonality for the cholera,the novelty of which lies in the incorporation of undetected *** present the basic properties of the model and compute two explicit threshold parametersR_(0)and R_(0).that bound the effective reproduction number,from below and above,that is R_(0)≤R_(0)≤R_(0).We prove that cholera tends to disappear whenR_(0)≤1,while when R_(0)>1,cholera persists uniformly within the ***,assuming that the cholera transmission rates and the proportions of newly symptomatic are unknown,we develop the EnKf approach to estimate unmeasurable state variabl.s.and these unknown parameters using real data of cholera from 2014 to 2022 in *** use this result to estimate the upper and lower bound of the effective reproduction number and reconstructed active asymptomatic and symptomatic cholera cases in Cameroon,and give a short-term forecasts of cholera in Cameroon until *** simulations show that(i)the transmission rate from free Vibrio cholerae in the environment is more important than the human transmission and begin to be high few week after May and in October,(ii)90%of newly cholera infected cases that present the symptoms of cholera are not diagnosed and(iii)60.36%of asymptomatic are detected at 14%and 86%of them recover *** future trends reveals that an outbreak appeared from July to November 2023 with the number of cases reported monthly peaked in October *** impulsive control.s.rategy is incorporated in the model with the aim to avoid or prevent the cholera *** the first year of monitoring,we observed a reduction of more than 75%of incidences and the disappearance of the peaks when no control are available in Cameroon.A second monitoring of control led to a further reduction of around 60%of incidences the following year,showing how
