Let X be a Kobayashi hyperbolic complex manifold, and assume that X does not contain compact complex submanifolds of positive dimension (e.g., X Stein). We shall prove the following generalization of Ritt's theorem: every holomorphic self-map f: X →X such that f(X) is relatively compact in X has a unique fixed point τ(f) ∈ X, which is attracting. Furthermore, we shall prove that τ(f) depends holomorphically on f in a suitable sense, generalizing results by Heins, joseph-Kwack and the second author.

In december 2019 a novel coronavirus,named severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 was identified and the disease associated was named coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Fever,cough,myalgia,fatigue associated to dyspnea represent most common clinical symptoms of the *** reference standard for diagnosis of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection is real time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction test applied on respiratory tract *** of lower specificity,chest computed tomography(CT),as reported in manifold scientific studies,showed high sensitivity,therefore it may help in the early detection,management and follow-up of COVID-19 *** affected by COVID-19 pneumonia usually showed on chest CT some typical features,such as:Bilateral ground glass opacities characterized by multilobe involvement with posterior and peripheral distribution;parenchymal consolidations with or without air bronchogram;interlobular septal thickening;crazy paving pattern,represented by interlobular and intralobular septal thickening surrounded by ground-glass opacities;subsegmental pulmonary vessels enlargement(>3 mm).Halo sign,reversed halo sign,cavitation and pleural or pericardial effusion represent some of atypical findings of COVID-19 *** the other hand lymphadenopathy’s and bronchiectasis’frequency is unclear,indeed conflicting data emerged in *** play a key role in recognition of high suspicious findings of COVID-19 on chest CT,both typical and atypical ***,the aim of this review is to illustrate typical and atypical CT findings of COVID-19.

It is reported that a pancreatic disease may precede the diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) both in children and in *** chronic pancreatitis,however,occasionally co-exists with the IBD,mainly at pediatric *** report a case of a patient who progressively developed the features of a chronic pancreatitis,before the diagnosis of Crohn's Disease(CD).Ten months after the onset of the first episode of pancreatitis the patient developed bloody diarrhea,mucus stools and biochemical findings of *** colonoscopy revealed a diffuse colitis without involvement of the last loop and the gastroscopy showed inflammation of the iuxta-papillary *** histological findings confirmed the diagnosis of CD that involved the colon and the *** conclusion,in children the idiopathic chronic pancreatitis may be an unusual presentation of ***,if other known cause of chronic pancreatitis are not found,a not invasive work up to exclude the IBD should be *** early coincidental diagnosis of the IBD may delay the progression of the pancreatic disease.

AIM: To assess the prevalence of bowel dysfunction in hemiplegic patients, and its relationship with the site of neurological lesion, physical immobilization and pharmacotherapy. METHODS: Ninety consecutive hemiplegic patients and 81 consecutive orthopedic patients were investigated during physical motor rehabilitation in the same period, in the same center and on the same diet. All subjects were interviewed ≥ 3 mo after injury using a questionnaire inquiring about bowel habits before injury and at the time of the interview. Patients’ mobility was evaluated by the Adapted Patient Evaluation Conference System. Drugs considered for the analysis were nitrates, angiogenic converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, calcium antagonists, anticoagulants, antithrombotics, antidepressants, anti-epileptics. RESULTS: Mobility scores were similar in the two groups. de novo constipation (OR = 5.36) was a frequent outcome of the neurological accident. Hemiplegics showed an increased risk of straining at stool (OR: 4.33), reduced call to evacuate (OR: 4.13), sensation of incomplete evacuation (OR: 3.69), use of laxatives (OR: 3.75). Logistic regression model showed that constipation was significantly and independently associated with hemiplegia. A positive association was found between constipation and use of nitrates and antithrombotics in both groups. Constipation was not related to the site of brain injury. CONCLUSION: Chronic constipation is a possible outcome of cerebrovascular accidents occurring in 30% of neurologically stabilized hemiplegic patients. Its onset after a cerebrovascular accident appears to be independent from the injured brain hemisphere, and unrelated to physical inactivity. Pharmacological treatment with nitrates and antithrombotics may represent an independent risk factor for developing chronic constipation.

Biomimetic coatings constituted of gelatin and nanocrystalline apatite were deposited on titanium substrates from a slightly supersaturated calcium phosphate (CaP) solution enriched with different amounts of gelatin. Although the biopolymer inhibits the crystallization of the inorganic phase, as shown by the reduction of the mean dimensions of the spherical aggregates and of the degree of crystallinity of the apatitic phase on increasing gelatin concentration, the deposition of a uniform layer of nanocrystalline apatite takes place in a few hours. Gelatin incorporation into the precipitate increases on increasing its concentration in solution, up to about 20 wt%. Osteoblast-like MG63 cells cultured on the coatings display good proliferation and increased values of the differentiation parameters with respect to the control. The presence of gelatin improves significantly the biological response to the biomimetic coatings, as shown by the higher values of proliferation, collagen type I and osteocalcin production, as well as alkaline phosphatase activity stimulation.

We report the case of a 14-year-old boy affected by ulcerative colitis (UC) and acute thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) with simultaneous onset. UC diagnosis was based on symptoms, endoscopy and histology findings. ITP diagnosis was based on the normal bone marrow megakaryocyte count, the presence of platelet associated IgG and the absence of splenomegaly. Medical treatments including high doses of steroids, intravenous immunoglobulins were ineffective on ITP course, while UC course was mild for several months after the onset. When colonic inflammation became untractable not responsive at steroids and immunosuppressive agents, colectomy resolved both pathologies.

FG与遗传性非息肉性结肠直肠癌综合征

Background: Germline mutations in mismatch repair (MMR) genes are found in only about half of clinically diagnosed families with hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer syndrome (HNPCC) (or Lynch syndrome). Early identification of gene carriers is essential to reduce cancer incidence and overall mortality. Aims: Recent evidence indicates an increase in size and number of sebaceous glands following activation of the hedgehog pathway, a crucial signalling pathway for animal development that is aberrantly activated in several types of cancer. Here we sought to assess a possible association between Fordyce granules (FGs-that is, ectopic sebaceous glands on the oral mucosa) and HNPCC. Methods: A total of 15 members of five different genetically unrelated HNPCC kindreds (MLH1 gene mutation n = 8; undetectable MLH1 protein at immunochemistry n = 4; clinical diagnosis n = 3) and 630 genetically unrelated age and sex matched healthy controls were examined. Following examination of the oral mucosa surface, subjects were categorised as either FGs positive or FGs negative. Results: Evidence of FGs was significantly associated with HNPCC (13/15 (86.7% ) affected patients v 6/630 (0.95% ) controls; pdence interval 40.05-206.76). The observed difference remained significant when carriers of germline mutations in MMR genes were considered (8/15 v 6/630; pdentifying affected families and/or increase the accuracy of the currently available molecular genetics screenings.
