New,integrated petrographic,mineral chemistry,whole rock geochemical,zircon and titanite UPb geochronology,and zircon Hf isotopic data from the Montezuma granitoids,as well as new geochemical results for its host rocks represented by the corrego Tingui complex,provides new insights into the late-to post-collisional evolution of the northeastern Sao Francisco paleocontinent.U-Pb zircon dates from the Montezuma granitoids spread along the concordia between ca.2.2 Ga to 1.8 Ga and comprise distinct *** I have crystallization ages between ca.2.15 Ga and 2.05 Ga and are interpreted as inherited *** II zircon dates vary from 2.04 Ga to1.9 Ga and corresponds to the crystallization of the Montezuma granitoids,which were constrained at ca.2.03 Ga by the titanite U-Pb *** age zoning is common within the ca.1.8 Ga Group III zircon ages,being related to fluid isotopic re-setting during the Espinhaco rifiting ***εHf(t)analysis show dominantly positive values for both Group I(-4 to+9)andⅡ(-3 to+8)zircons and TDM2 model ages of 2.7-2.1 Ga and 2.5-1.95 Ga,***,the Montezuma granitoids are weakly peraluminous to metaluminous magnesian granitoids,enriched in LILES and LREE,with high to moderate Mg#and depleted in some of the *** lithochemical signature,added to the juvenile signature of both inherited and crystallized zircons,allowed its classification as a shoshonitic high Ba-Sr granitoid related to a late-to post-collisional lithosphere delamination followed by asthenospheric *** this scenario,the partial melting of the lithospheric mantle interacted with the roots of an accreted juvenile intra-oceanic arc,being these hybrid magma interpreted as the source of the Montezuma *** corrego Tingui complex host rocks are akin to a syn-to late-collisional volcanic arc granitoids originated from the partial melting of ancient crustal *** results presented in this study have revealed the occurrence of j

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

Adsorption properties of Rosmarinus officinalis oil as green corrosion inhibitors on c38 steel in 0.5 M H_2SO_4

Rosmarinus officinalis essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation was tested as corrosion inhibitor of steel in 0.5 M H2SO4 using weight loss measurements, and electrochemical .polarisation methods. Results obtained indicate that the corrosion rate is reduced and R. officinalis oil adsorbs on the metal surface and then inhibits corrosion process. Its inhibition efficiency increases with oil increasing content to reach 61% at 1 g/L. Polarisation curves indicate that RO acts as a cathodic inhibitor. The inhibition efficiency of naturally oil remains slightly constant with the rise of temperature. chemical analysis of R. officinalis essential oil was carried out using capillary Gc and Gc/MS. The oil composition was characterized by high amount of oxygenated monoterpene （77%） with 1,8-cineol （52.1%） as main component. Discussion of adsorption was investigated on the the isotherm adsorption of essential oil on basis of essential oil composition. Finally the steel has been also reported.

The Quarter-Horses regularly participate in non-traditional sports that simulate activities on cattle ranches. In the vaquejada races, the horses run at about 30 km/h, reaching maximum heart rates of around 200 bpm, indicating the great physical effort during competitions and with that could impact welfare. To test the hypothesis that vaquejada horses can be evaluated for the quality of welfare through a combination of non-invasive and invasive methods, an experiment was developed that aimed to assess the quality of welfare through thermography and blood biomarkers before and after vaquejada races. Ten vaquejada horses, which were in regular competition, were submitted to the vaquejadas racing test were used. Thermography was performed in 14 regions of interest (head, neck and thorax) in the following phases: pre-race and +1, +4 and +24 hours of the races. Blood samples were collected in pre-race, immediately after and +1, +4 and +24 hours of the races. Results were submitted to ANOVA and Tukey’s test, with p set at 5%. Thermography showed that local temperatures before the race and +24 hours after the races were similar (p > 0.05), as well as between +1 and +4 hours after the races (p > 0.05), which showed higher surface temperatures than the first group (pre-race and +24 hours) (p 0.05) after the exercises. In conclusion, the vaquejada horses evaluated by infrared thermography and blood analyses maintained the quality of well-being, with the physiological elevation of several parameters after the races and recovery in less than 24 hours after the races. Thermographic images were also able to help in the analysis of the regions of interest that have contact with harnesses, demonstrating that the use of adequate and correct equipment does not compromise animal welfare.

In this paper we consider the mean-variance hedging problem of a jump diffusion continuous state space financial model with the re-balancing strategies for the hedging portfolio taken at discrete times,a situation that more closely reflects real market conditions.A direct expression based on some change of measures,not depending on any recursions,is derived for the optimal self-financing mean-variance hedging strategy problem as well as for the "fair hedging price",considering any given *** the case of a European call option these expressions can be evaluated in a closed form.

AIM To investigate the association between 16 insertiondeletions(INDEL) polymorphisms, colorectal cancer(cRc) risk and clinical features in an admixed *** O n e h u n d re d a n d fo r ty p a t i e n t s w i t h c R c a n d 140 cancer-free subjects were examined. Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood samples. Polymorphisms and genomic ancestry distribution were assayed by Multiplex-PcR reaction, separated by capillary electrophoresis on the ABI 3130 Genetic Analyzer instrument and analyzed on Gene Mapper ID v3.2. clinicopathological data were obtained by consulting the patients' clinical charts, intra-operative documentation, and pathology *** Logistic regression analysis showed that polymorphism variations in IL4 gene was associated with increased cRc risk, while TYMS and UcP2 genes were associated with decreased risk. Reference to anatomical localization of tumor Del allele of NFKB1 and cASP8 were associated with more colon related incidents than rectosigmoid. In relation to the INDEL association with tumor node metastasis(TNM) stage risk, the Ins alleles of AcE, HLAG and TP53(6 bp INDEL) were associated with higher TNM stage. Furthermore, regarding INDEL association with relapse risk, the Ins alleles of AcE, HLAG, and UGT1A1 were associated with early relapse risk, as well as the Del allele of TYMS. Regarding INDEL association with death risk before 10 years, the Ins allele of SGSM3 and UGT1A1 were associated with death *** The INDEL variations in AcE, UcP2, TYMS, IL4, NFKB1, cASP8, TP53, HLAG, UGT1A1, and SGSM3 were associated with cRc risk and clinical features in an admixed population. These data suggest that this cancer panel might be useful as a complementary tool for better clinical management, and more studies need to be conducted to confirm these findings.

Pollen tubes elongate within the pistil to transport sperm cells to the embryo sac for fertilization. Growth occurs exclusively at the tube apex, rendering pollen tube elongation a most dramatic polar cell growth process. A hall- mark pollen tube feature is its cytoskeleton, which comprises elaborately organized and dynamic actin microfilaments and microtubules. Pollen tube growth is dependent on the actin cytoskeleton; its organization and regulation have been examined extensively by various approaches, including fluorescent protein labeled actin-binding proteins in live cell studies. Using the previously described GFP-NtADF1 and GFP-LIADF1, and a new actin reporter protein NtPLIM2b-GFP, we re-affirm that the predominant actin structures in elongating tobacco and lily pollen tubes are long, streaming actin cables along the pollen tube shank, and a subapical structure comprising shorter actin cables. The subapical collection of actin microfilaments undergoes dynamic changes, giving rise to the appearance of structures that range from basket- or funnel-shaped, mesh-like to a subtle ring. NtPLIM2b-GFP is used in combination with a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for the Rho GTPases, AtROP-GEF1, to illustrate the use of these actin reporter proteins to explore the linkage between the polar cell growth process and its actin cytoskeleton. contrary to the actin cytoskeleton, microtubules appear not to play a direct role in supporting the polar cell growth process in angiosperm pollen tubes. Using a microtubule reporter protein based on the microtubule end-binding protein from Arabidopsis AtEB1, GFP-AtEB1, we show that the extensive microtubule network in elongating pollen tubes displays varying degrees of dynamics. These reporter proteins provide versatile tools to explore the functional connection between major structural and signaling components of the polar pollen tube growth process.
