Facial emotion recognition(FER)has become a focal point of research due to its widespread applications,ranging from human-computer interaction to affective *** traditional FER techniques have relied on handcrafted features and classification models trained on image or video datasets,recent strides in artificial intelligence and deep learning(DL)have ushered in more sophisticated *** research aims to develop a FER system using a Faster Region Convolutional Neural Network(FRCNN)and design a specialized FRCNN architecture tailored for facial emotion recognition,leveraging its ability to capture spatial hierarchies within localized regions of facial *** proposed work enhances the accuracy and efficiency of facial emotion *** proposed work comprises twomajor key components:Inception V3-based feature extraction and FRCNN-based emotion *** experimentation on Kaggle datasets validates the effectiveness of the proposed strategy,showcasing the FRCNN approach’s resilience and accuracy in identifying and categorizing facial *** model’s overall performance metrics are compelling,with an accuracy of 98.4%,precision of 97.2%,and recall of 96.31%.This work introduces a perceptive deep learning-based FER method,contributing to the evolving landscape of emotion recognition *** high accuracy and resilience demonstrated by the FRCNN approach underscore its potential for real-world *** research advances the field of FER and presents a compelling case for the practicality and efficacy of deep learning models in automating the understanding of facial emotions.

Rao Algorithms-Based Structure Optimization for Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks

The structural optimization of wireless sensor networks is a critical issue because it impacts energy consumption and hence the network’s *** studies have been conducted for homogeneous networks,but few have been performed for heterogeneouswireless sensor *** paper utilizes Rao algorithms to optimize the structure of heterogeneous wireless sensor networks according to node locations and their initial *** proposed algorithms lack algorithm-specific parameters and metaphorical *** proposed algorithms examine the search space based on the relations of the population with the best,worst,and randomly assigned *** proposed algorithms can be evaluated using any routing protocol,however,we have chosen the well-known routing protocols in the literature:Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy(LEACH),Power-Efficient Gathering in Sensor Information Systems(PEAGSIS),Partitioned-based Energy-efficient LEACH(PE-LEACH),and the Power-Efficient Gathering in Sensor Information Systems Neural Network(PEAGSIS-NN)recent routing *** compare our optimized method with the Jaya,the Particle Swarm Optimization-based Energy Efficient Clustering(PSO-EEC)protocol,and the hybrid Harmony Search Algorithm and PSO(HSA-PSO)*** efficiencies of our proposed algorithms are evaluated by conducting experiments in terms of the network lifetime(first dead node,half dead nodes,and last dead node),energy consumption,packets to cluster head,and packets to the base *** experimental results were compared with those obtained using the Jaya optimization *** proposed algorithms exhibited the best *** proposed approach successfully prolongs the network lifetime by 71% for the PEAGSIS protocol,51% for the LEACH protocol,10% for the PE-LEACH protocol,and 73% for the PEGSIS-NN protocol;moreover,it enhances other criteria such as energy conservation,fitness convergence,packets to cluster head,and packets to the base sta

Enhancing Task Assignment in Crowdsensing Systems Based on Sensing Intervals and Location

The popularity of mobile devices with sensors is captivating the attention of researchers to modern techniques,such as the internet of things(IoT)and mobile crowdsensing(mCS).The core concept behind mCS is to use the power of mobile sensors to accomplish a difficult task collaboratively,with each mobile user completing much simpler *** paper discusses the task assignment problem in mobile crowdsensing,which is dependent on sensing time and path planning with the constraints of participant travel distance budgets and sensing time *** goal is to minimize aggregate sensing time for mobile users,which reduces energy consumption to encourage more participants to engage in sensing activities and maximize total task *** paper introduces a two-phase task assignment framework called location time-based algorithm(LTBA).LTBA is a framework that enhances task assignment in mCS,whereas assigning tasks requires overlapping time intervals between tasks and mobile users’tasks and the location of tasks and mobile users’*** process of assigning the nearest task to the mobile user’s current path depends on the ant colony optimization algorithm(ACO)and Euclidean *** combines two algorithms:(1)greedy online allocation algorithm and(2)bio-inspired traveldistance-balance-based algorithm(B-DBA).The greedy algorithm was sensing time interval-based and worked on reducing the overall sensing time of the mobile user.B-DBA was location-based and worked on maximizing total task *** results demonstrate that the average task quality is 0.8158,0.7093,and 0.7733 for LTBA,B-DBA,and greedy,*** sensing time was reduced to 644,1782,and 685 time units for LTBA,B-DBA,and greedy,*** the algorithms improves task assignment in mCS for both total task quality and sensing *** results demonstrate that combining the two algorithms in LTBA is the best performance for total task quality and total sensing time,and the greed

An adaptive markov chain algorithm applied over map-matching of vehicle trip GPS data

markov chains have frequently been applied to match the probable routes with a set of GPS trip data that a pilot vehicle is emitting over a specific graph road network. This class of mapmatching (mm) algorithms presently demonstrates and involve statistical and ad-hoc measures to drive the markov chain transitional probabilities in picking the best route combinations constrained over the graph road network. In this study, we have devised an adaptive scheme to modify the markov Chain (mC) kernel window as we move along the GPS samples to reduce the mistakes that can happen by the use of narrower mC widths. The measure for temporarily increasing the mC window width is chosen to be the ratio between the geodesic distance of current route to the actual geodesic distance between each pair of GPS samples. This adaptive use of mC has shown to have hardened the results significantly with tolerable computational cost increase. The details of the overall algorithm are depicted by the example routes extracted from various vehicle trips and the results are shown to validate the usefulness of the algorithm in practice.

Detecting man-in-the-middle Attack in Fog Computing for Social media

Fog computing(FC)is a networking paradigm where wireless devices known as fog nodes are placed at the edge of the network(close to the Internet of Things(IoT)devices).Fog nodes provide services in lieu of the ***,improving the performance of the network and making it attractive to social media-based *** issues are one of the most challenges encountered in *** this paper,we propose an anomalybased Intrusion Detection and Prevention System(IDPS)against man-in-themiddle(mITm)attack in the fog *** system uses special nodes known as Intrusion Detection System(IDS)nodes to detect intrusion in the *** periodically monitor the behavior of the fog nodes in the *** deviation from normal network activity is categorized as malicious,and the suspected node is *** moving Average(EWmA)is added to the system to smooth out the noise that is typically found in social media *** results(with 95%confidence)show that the accuracy of the proposed system increases from 80%to 95%after EWmA is ***,with EWmA,the proposed system can detect the intrusion from 0.25–0.5 s seconds faster than that without ***,it affects the latency of services provided by the fog nodes by at least 0.75–1.3 ***,EWmA has not increased the energy overhead of the system,due to its lightweight.

Realism rendering methods of outdoor augmented reality(AR)is an interesting *** items in outdoor AR need advanced impacts like shadows,sunshine,and relations between unreal items.A few realistic rendering approaches were built to overcome this *** of these approaches are not dealt with real-time ***,the issue remains an active research topic,especially in outdoor *** paper introduces a new approach to accomplish reality real-time outdoor rendering by considering the relation between items in AR regarding shadows in any place during *** proposed method includes three principal stages that cover various outdoor AR rendering ***,real shadow recognition was generated considering the sun’s location and the intensity of the *** second step involves real shadow ***,we introduced a shadow production algorithm technique and shades through its impacts on unreal items in the *** selected approach’s target is providing a fast shadow recognition technique without affecting the system’s *** achieved an average accuracy of 95.1%and an area under the curve(AUC)of 92.5%.The outputs demonstrated that the proposed approach had enhanced the reality of outside AR *** results of the proposed method outperformed other state-of-the-art rendering shadow techniques’outcomes.

CAR immune cells: design principles, resistance and the next generation

The remarkable clinical activity of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) therapies in B cell and plasma cell malignancies hasvalidated the use of this therapeutic class for liquid cancers, but resistance and limited access remain as barriers to broaderapplication. Here we review the immunobiology and design principles of current prototype CARs and present emerging platformsthat are anticipated to drive future clinical advances. The field is witnessing a rapid expansion of next-generation CAR immunecell technologies designed to enhance efficacy, safety and access. Substantial progress has been made in augmenting immune cellfitness, activating endogenous immunity, arming cells to resist suppression via the tumour microenvironment and developingapproaches to modulate antigen density thresholds. Increasingly sophisticated multispecific, logic-gated and regulatable CARsdisplay the potential to overcome resistance and increase safety. Early signs of progress with stealth, virus-free and in vivo genedelivery platforms provide potential paths for reduced costs and increased access of cell therapies in the future. The continuingclinical success of CAR T cells in liquid cancers is driving the development of increasingly sophisticated immune cell therapiesthat are poised to translate to treatments for solid cancers and non-malignant diseases in the coming years.

The Nature of Self-Damaging Women in Charles Dickens＇ Novel Bleak House

This study intends to explore and analysis the portrayal of self-damaging behavior, which encapsulates two female characters: Lady Dedlock and mademoiselle Hortense in one of the most famous novels of Charles Dickens" Bleak House (1984). An evaluation of these two female characters shows and reflects that their self-damaging behavior emerges from low self esteem, which results from a number of reasons. The self-damaging behavior introduced by these women involves: self-imposed isolation, women madness, purposive accidents, physical self-abuse, and most consequently, conscious pursuit of destructive relationships with men. Although Dickens clearly means no maliciousness to women in his works, the great Victorian marital upheaval of June, 1858, is illustrative of Dickens"s ambivalent attitude towards women, especially towards strong women.
