Modeling the potential distribution of Argentine shortfin squid in the southwest Atlantic Ocean

The Argentine shortfin squid Illex argentinus is an economically important short-lived species widely distributed in the southwest Atlantic *** abundance and distribution of *** are associated with climate change and environmental *** potential distribution of *** was modeled with various environmental variables including sea surface temperature(SST),sea surface height(SSH),chlorophyll a,sea surface salinity(SSS),net primary productivity(NPP),mixed layer depth(MLD),eddy kinetic energy(EKE),and photosynthetically active radiation(PAR)using the maximum entropy(MaxEnt)approach during the peak fishing seasons(January–April).The habitat suitability index(HSI)was defined as the probability of species emergence from the MaxEnt model and the area of HSI≥0.6 was regarded as *** indicate that the predicted habitat correlated with the actual fishing position,with similar trends in the percentages of suitable habitats and catch per unit effort(CPUE)of *** from January to ***,SST,SSH,PAR,and MLD were identified critical environmental variables for the distribution of *** addition,the median of preferred ranges of the critical environmental variables were concentrated within the suitable habitats of *** Area under the Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve(AUC)was greater than 0.96 for all four *** in latitudinal and longitudinal gravity centers(LATG and long)of fishing effort were consistent with latitudinal and longitudinal gravity centers(LATG_H and long_H)of the *** findings suggest that the MaxEnt model is an effective tool to predict the potential distribution of ***,SST,SSH,PAR,and MLD should be given with more extensive attention in predicting the potential distribution of ***,as they are important environmental indicators that can help decision-makers search for the fishing ground of *** in the Southwest Atlantic.

Objective: The expression of programmed death 1（PD-1） on CD8+T cells is associated with their activation and exhaustion, while CD57 serves as a senescence marker. The impact of PD-1+and CD57+CD8+T cells on the prognosis of patients with advanced high-grade serous ovarian cancer（HGSOC） remain ***: We assessed the percentages of PD-1+and CD57+CD8+T cells in tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes（TILs, n=85） and tumor ascites lymphocytes（TALs, n=87） using flow cytometry. The optimal cutoffs for these markers in TILs and TALs were determined through the log-rank maximization method. Gene expression analysis elucidated the tumor immune microenvironment（TIME, n=36）.Results: Patients with higher PD-1+CD8+TILs（>87.8%） exhibited longer platinum-free interval（PFI） and overall survival（OS）. In contrast, those with elevated CD57+CD8+TALs（>28.69%） were more likely to experience chemotherapy and had lower complete remission rates, shorter PFI and OS. PD-1+CD8+TILs are primarily displayed an effector memory state with strong proliferative and secretory capabilities. Approximately 50% of CD57+CD8+TALs were terminally differentiated, exhibiting significantly impaired proliferation. Based on the proportions of PD-1+CD8+TILs and CD57+CD8+TALs, patients were categorized into good, median and poor prognosis groups, with median PFI of 47.78, 27.29 and 11.96 months, respectively（Plongside downregulation of multiple T cell activation-related ***: Lower levels of PD-1+CD8+TILs and higher CD57+CD8+TALs, assessed prior to treatment,correlated with poor prognosis and suppressive TIME in advanced HGSOC.

Review of rare earth oxide doping-modified laser cladding of Fe-based alloy coatings

Impact of Alpine Wetland Succession to Soil Bacterial Diversity

This study aims to explore the characteristics of change and the rules of response of the soil bacterial community structure and diversity during the evolution of alpine wetlands. It also seeks to identify the leading factors affecting changes in the soil bacterial community，with the goal of providing a scientific basis for the restoration and management of alpine wetland ecosystems. Three different types of wetlands （original alpine wetland，alpine wet meadow，and alpine meadow） were selected to represent the succession process of alpine wetlands. The composition and diversity of the soil bacterial communities were analyzed using high-throughput sequencing technology. The findings revealed the following：① Proteobacteria and Acidobacteria were the predominant bacteria，with their relative abundance exceeding 20.08%. In the alpine wetland，Nitrosomonadaceae and RB41 were the dominant bacteria. Meanwhile，Chthoniobacteraceae and Candidatus_Udaeobacter were the dominant genera in the alpine wet meadow and alpine meadow，respectively. ② Although no significant change was observed in community diversity，significant differences were present in the structure of the soil bacterial community at different succession stages （P © 2025 Science Press. 政策回应性是衡量国家治理能力和治理水平的重要指标。本研究以政治系统理论为分析框架,融合意见文本与政策文本的主题、时间、数量及层级特征,提取回应率、回应有效性、回应积极性和回应效力四个指标,构建政策回应性测度模型。同时,以我国科技人才评价政策为实证对象,计算2002—2022年该领域的政策回应性,分主题讨论政策回应的发展变化特征,并选择“怎么评”主题探究政策回应的具体内容。研究表明,政策回应性测度模型量化政策回应性效果较好,我国科技人才评价政策领域的政策回应性呈波动上升趋势,同时具有从选择性回应到全方位回应以及从滞后回应到高质量回应的发展趋势。本研究丰富了政策回应性测度方法,有效减少了主观因素的影响,增强了研究的理论深度和实践应用的广度。

Elevated CXCL1 triggers dopaminergic neuronal loss in the substantia nigra of C57BL/6J mice: Evaluation of a novel Parkinsonian mouse model

Substantial evidence points to the early onset of peripheral inflammation in the development of Parkinson's disease(PD), supporting the “body-first” hypothesis. However,there remains a notable absence of PD-specific animal models induced by inflammatory cytokines. This study introduces a novel mouse model of PD driven by the proinflammatory cytokine CXCL1, identified in our previous research. The involvement of CXCL1 in PD pathogenesis was validated using subacute and chronic MPTP-induced mouse models. Based on these findings, 2-month-old C57BL/6J mice were intravenously administered CXCL1(20 ng/kg/day) for 2 weeks(5 days per week), successfully replicating motor deficits and pathological alterations in the substantia nigra observed in the chronic MPTP *** results demonstrate the potential of CXCL1-induced inflammation as a mechanism for PD modeling. The model revealed activation of the PPAR signaling pathway in CXCL1-mediated neuronal damage by CXCL1. Linoleic acid, a PPAR-γ activator, significantly mitigated MPTPand CXCL1-induced toxicity and reduced serum CXCL1levels. In addition, the CXCL1-injected mouse model shortened the timeline for developing chronic PD mouse model to 2 weeks, offering an efficient platform for studying inflammation-driven processes in PD. The findings provide critical insights into the inflammatory mechanisms underlying PD and identify promising therapeutic targets for intervention.

DNA2, a multifunctional enzyme with structure-specific nuclease, 5'-to-3' helicase, and DNA-dependent ATPase activities, plays a pivotal role in the cellular response to DNA damage. However, its involvement in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(I/R) injury remains to be *** study investigated the involvement of DNA2 in cerebral I/R injury using conditional knockout(cKO) mice(Nestin-Cre) subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO), an established model of cerebral I/R. Results demonstrated a gradual up-regulation of DNA2 expression,peaking at 72 h post-MCAO. Notably, DNA2 cKO mice exhibited more pronounced brain injury, neurological deficits, and neuronal apoptosis within the penumbra following MCAO. Additionally, DNA2 expression was elevated in an oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation(OGD/R) cell culture model, and DNA2 knockdown(KD)exacerbated neuronal apoptosis and oxidative *** analysis of ischemic penumbra tissues via RNA sequencing revealed significant down-regulation of Homer1 in DNA2 cKO mice. Furthermore, in vitro experiments demonstrated that overexpression of Homer1a ameliorated DNA2 KD-induced neuronal apoptosis. Collectively, these findings demonstrate that DNA2 deficiency exacerbates cerebral I/R injury through the down-regulation of Homer1a, highlighting a novel regulatory axis in ischemic neuroprotection.
