Boosting reversible charging of Li-ion batteries at low temperatures by a synergy of propylene carbonate-based electrolyte and defective graphite

Propylene carbonate(PC)-based electrolytes have exhibited significant advantages in boosting the low-temperature discharging of graphite-based Li-ion batteries.However,it is still unclear whether they can improve the charging property and suppress lithium plating.Studying this topic is challenging due to the problem of electrochemical compatibility.To overcome this issue,we introduced graphite with phase defects.The results show that the pouch-type full batteries using PC-based electrolyte exhibit steady performance over 500 cycles and can be reversibly charged over 30 times at-20℃ with an average Coulombic efficiency of 99.95%,while the corresponding value for the conventional ethylene carbonate(EC)-based electrolyte sample is only 31.20%.This indicates that the use of PC-based electrolyte significantly suppresses lithium plating during low-temperature charging.We further demonstrate that the improved performance is mainly attributed to the unique solvation structure,where PF-6more anions participate in solvation,leading to the formation of a stable F-rich solid state electrolyte interface on the graphite surface and a lower reduction tendency of Li+ions.This work inspires new ideas for the design of PC-based electrolytes for low-temperature charging and fast-charging batteries.

Non-isothermal kinetics and characteristics of calcium carbide nitridation reaction with calcium-based additives

The nitridation reaction of calcium carbide and N_(2) at high temperatures is the key step in the production of lime-nitrogen.However,the challenges faced by this process,such as high energy consumption and poor product quality,are mainly attributed to the lack of profound understanding of the reaction.This study aimed to improve this process by investigating the non-isothermal kinetics and reaction characteristics of calcium carbide nitridation reaction at different heating rates(10,15,20,and 30℃·min^(-1))using thermogravimetric analysis.The kinetic equation for the nitridation reaction of additive-free calcium carbide sample was obtained by combining model-free methods and model-fitting method.The effect of different calcium-based additives(CaCl_(2) and CaF_(2))on the reaction was also investigated.The results showed that the calcium-based additives significantly reduced reaction temperature and activation energy E_(a) by about 40% with CaF_(2) and by 55%-60% with CaCl_(2).The reaction model f(α)was also changed from contracting volume(R3)to 3-D diffusion models with D3 for CaCl_(2) and D4 for CaF_(2).This study provides valuable information on the mechanism and kinetics of calcium carbide nitridation reaction and new insights into the improvement of the lime-nitrogen process using calcium-based additives.

Deep Learning Blockchain Integration Framework for Ureteropelvic Junction Obstruction Diagnosis Using Ultrasound Images

UreteroPelvic Junction Obstruction(UPJO)is a common hydronephrosis disease in children that can result in an even progressive loss of renal function.Ultrasonography is an economical,radiationless,noninvasive,and high noise preliminary diagnostic step for UPJO.Artificial intelligence has been widely applied to medical fields and can greatly assist doctors'diagnostic abilities.The demand for a highly secure network environment in transferring electronic medical data online,therefore,has led to the development of blockchain technology.In this study,we built and tested a framework that integrates a deep learning diagnosis model with blockchain technology.Our diagnosis model is a combination of an attention-based pyramid semantic segmentation network and a discrete wavelet transformation-processed residual classification network.We also compared the performance between benchmark models and our models.Our diagnosis model outperformed benchmarks on the segmentation task and classification task with MloU=87.93,MPA=93.52,and accuracy=91.77%.For the blockchain system,we applied the InterPlanetary File System protocol to build a secure and private sharing environment.This framework can automatically grade the severity of UPJO using ultrasound images,guarantee secure medical data sharing,assist in doctors'diagnostic ability,relieve patients'burden,and provide technical support for future federated learning and linkage of the Internet of Medical Things(loMT).

Drought is a major threat to alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.)production.The discovery of important alfalfa genes regulating drought response will facilitate breeding for drought-resistant alfalfa cultivars.Here,we report a genome-wide association study of drought resistance in alfalfa.We identified and functionally characterized an MYB-like transcription factor gene(MsMYBH),which increases the drought resistance in alfalfa.Compared with the wild-types,the biomass and forage quality were enhanced in MsMYBH overexpressed plants.Combined RNA-seq,proteomics and chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis showed that MsMYBH can directly bind to the promoters of MsMCP1,MsMCP2,MsPRX1A and MsCARCAB to improve their expression.The outcomes of such interactions include better water balance,high photosynthetic efficiency and scavenge excess H_(2)O_(2)in response to drought.Furthermore,an E3 ubiquitin ligase(MsWAV3)was found to induce MsMYBH degradation under long-term drought,via the 26S proteasome pathway.Furthermore,variable-number tandem repeats in MsMYBH promoter were characterized among a collection of germplasms,and the variation is associated with promoter activity.Collectively,our findings shed light on the functions of MsMYBH and provide a pivotal gene that could be leveraged for breeding drought-resistant alfalfa.This discovery also offers new insights into the mechanisms of drought resistance in alfalfa.

Pyridinic-N doping carbon layers coupled with tensile strain of FeNi alloy for activating water and urea oxidation

Exploitation of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and urea oxidation reaction(UOR)catalysts with high activity and stability at large current density is a major challenge for energy-saving H_(2) production in water electrolysis.Herein,we use the pyridinic-N doping carbon layers coupled with tensile strain of FeNi alloy activated by NiFe_(2)O_(4)(FeNi/NiFe_(2)O_(4)@NC)for efficiently increasing the performance of water and urea oxidation.Due to the tensile strain effect on FeNi/NiFe_(2)O_(4)@NC,it provides a favorable modulation on the electronic properties of the active center,thus enabling amazing OER(η_(100)=196 mV)and UOR(E_(10)=1.32 V)intrinsic activity.Besides,the carbon-coated layers can be used as armor to prevent FeNi alloy from being corroded by the electrolyte for enhancing the OER/UOR stability at large current density,showing high industrial practicability.This work thus provides a simple way to prepare high-efficiency catalyst for activating water and urea oxidation.

Rapid Degrading Carbamazepine in a Novel Advanced Oxidation Process of Bisulfite Activated by Lithium Cobaltate Recovered from Spent Lithium-ion Battery

Maximizing the sustainable recycling of spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)shows economic and environmental significance.This study recovered lithium cobaltate(LiCoO_(2),LCO)from spent LIBs cathode powder.The recovered LCO was then combined with NaHSO_(3)to remove refractory organic pollutants of carbamazepine(CBZ)in water.The degradation of CBZ reached 80.0%within 60 min,by 1O_(2),SO_(4),OH and O_(2)^(-)generated in the LCO/NaHSO_(3)reaction.The electron transfer between Co(III)and Co(II)was beneficial to the generation of free radicals.The LCO/NaHSO_(3)degraded CBZ effectively in both secondary outlet water and tap water.However,high concentrations of inorganic ions(Cl^(−),HCO_(3)^(-),HPO_(4)^(2-),SO_(2)−4,NO_(3)^(-))and natural organic matter(humic acid,HA)could inhibit the degradation of CBZ.After three cycles,the stability of the LCO/NaHSO_(3)system was demonstrated by the maintained high efficiency in the degradation of CBZ.The obtained data indicate that the LCO/NaHSO_(3)system holds great application potential in the field of advanced oxidation degradation of pollutants.

TBM刀盘受载后的危险点应力获取缺少直接的测量方法,工况复杂的情况下也难以测量,这就制约了刀盘载荷分析在刀盘寿命分析及其再制造方向上的应用问题,为此本文提出了一种基于改进CSM模型的TBM刀盘危险点应力分析方法.在CSM模型基本压力假设的基础上,提出了滚刀刀刃侧面基本压力的概念,推导计算了滚刀刀刃侧面受到的压力和摩擦力,并将二者逐个引入CSM模型中的三向力的计算,建立了改进的CSM模型;通过与公开的滚刀载荷实验数据对比,计算得到的三向力误差均在5%以内,弥补了CSM模型不能预测侧向力的不足.基于改进的CSM模型,通过分析滚刀载荷三向力的差值关系,建立了滚刀载荷差值与滚刀刀间距离的指数关系,得到了计算刀盘滚刀载荷的理论模型,使用ABAQUS的实体耦合功能,加载上各滚刀的载荷,分析整个刀盘的载荷分布,进一步获得刀盘危险点的位置.由此建立了一套刀盘滚刀群载荷获取及危险点应力分布计算的方法.通过与辽宁大伙房水库引水隧道工程中公开的实验数据及危险点统计数据对比,验证了基于改进CSM模型的TBM刀盘危险点应力计算方式的有效性.该研究对经典的CSM模型进行了改进,所提出的刀盘危险点的应力分析方法可为刀盘再制造寿命预测提供可靠的载荷分析依据,并指导刀盘服役阶段的操控参数设置.

Piezoelectric active control for tail buffeting at high angle of attack

Tail buffeting at high angle of attack causes distinct fatigue problem on tail structure of twin tail fighters.In this study,a piezoelectric active control experiment of tail buffeting was performed in a wind tunnel using arching PZT actuator(APA) and principal modal control(PMC) method.Test results showed the peak value of power spectral density(PSD) function of tail buffeting acceleration response could be suppressed by about 42% when the angle of attack reached 35°,indicating the validity and feasibility of PMC method and APA for tail buffeting alleviation at high angle of attack.

目的通过趾间注射与宫颈注射吲哚菁绿示踪,观察下肢淋巴回流通路和子宫旁淋巴回流通路的不同之处。方法选择2019年6月至2022年11月于周口市中心医院就诊的早期子宫内膜癌或宫颈癌患者50例为研究对象。根据术中吲哚菁绿注射的部位将患者分为趾间注射组(n=20)和宫颈注射组(n=30)。2组患者分别在趾间及宫颈注射吲哚菁绿,在荧光腹腔镜下观察下肢淋巴回流在盆腔内的通路以及子宫旁淋巴回流通路,重点观察二者的不同之处。结果趾间注射组患者(20例40侧)中下肢淋巴回流在盆腔段显影18例(33侧),2例双侧未显影。显影的患者中有26侧显示下肢淋巴回流经腹股沟深淋巴结、旋髂淋巴结、髂外淋巴结、髂总淋巴结,5侧显示下肢淋巴回流至腹股沟深淋巴结、旋髂淋巴结、闭孔淋巴结、髂内淋巴结、髂总淋巴结,2侧显示下肢淋巴回流至腹股沟深淋巴结、闭孔淋巴结、髂内淋巴结、髂总淋巴结。宫颈注射组患者(30例60侧)中盆腔内淋巴显影29例55侧,1例双侧未显影。显影的患者中2侧显示宫旁淋巴回流至闭孔淋巴结、旋髂淋巴结、髂外淋巴结、髂总淋巴结,其中旋髂淋巴结均为非前哨淋巴结;40侧显示宫旁淋巴回流沿着上宫颈旁淋巴回流通路至髂外内侧淋巴结(或闭孔淋巴结)、髂总淋巴结;13侧显示沿着下宫颈旁淋巴回流通路至髂内淋巴结或骶前淋巴结。下肢淋巴回流与子宫旁淋巴回流的共同引流途径是由闭孔、髂外、髂总淋巴向上回流。趾间注射组和宫颈注射组旋髂淋巴结显影率分别为93.94%(31/33)、3.63%(2/55),趾间注射组旋髂淋巴结显影率显著高于宫颈注射组(P<0.05)。结论应用吲哚菁绿示踪剂在荧光腹腔镜下能更直观地看到下肢淋巴回流及子宫旁淋巴回流通路,二者的淋巴回流不同之处在于下肢淋巴回流经髂外淋巴结远端的旋髂淋巴结,而宫颈癌和子宫内膜癌很少转移至此。
