WRKY transcription factor, the transcriptional regulators unique to plants, plays an important role in plant defense response to pathogen ***, research on the disease resistance mechanism of WRKY gene in sugarcane is still ***, GO enrichment analysis revealed that WRKY gene family in sugarcane was extensively involved in the response to biotic stress and in the process of defence ***, we identified a ScWRKYA gene, a member of class lie of the WRKY gene family, from the sugarcane cultivar *** upstream promoter contained multiple cis-acting elements,which were associated with stress, growth and development and hormone *** gene could be induced by the stresses of salicylic acid( SA) and methyl jasmonate( MeJA).The expression of the ScWRKY4 gene was down-regulated in smut-resistant sugarcane cultivars and up-regulated in smut-susceptible sugarcane cultivars under Sporisorium scitamineum *** overexpression of the ScWRKYA gene in Nicotiana benthamiana enhanced susceptibility to Fusarium solani *** and caused the down-regulated expression of immune marker-related *** analysis indicated that, at 0 and 2 d after inoculation with *** ***, tobacco plants stably overexpressing the ScWRKYA gene were significantly enriched for differentially expressed genes in plant hormone signal transduction pathway,plant-pathogen interaction pathway and MAPK signaling *** is interesting that, the expression of most JAZ genes was suppressed in plant signal transduction *** addition, ScWRKY4 could interact with ScJAZ13 and repress the expression of *** above results confirmed that the ScWRKYA gene was involved in the regulatory network of plant disease resistance through the JA signaling pathway, and laid the foundation for the subsequent investigation on the molecular mechanism of the ScWRKYA gene involved in sugarcane disease resistance.

Nonexpressor of pathogenesis-related genes 1(NPR 1),as a key regulatory factor in the plant salicylic acid(SA) signal transduction pathway,plays a core regulatory role in plant systemic disease *** the present study,a total of 18 SsNPR and 35 SoNPR genes were identified from sugarcane wild species Saccharum spontaneum and tropical species ***,*** analysis demonstrated that NPR proteins could be clustered into three *** analysis revealed a close homology between NPR genes in *** and *** data analysis indicated that SsNPR genes were tissue-specifically expressed and differentially expressed in different genotypes of sugarcane interacting with smut fungus.A differentially expressed gene,ShNPR2,was then cloned from the sugarcane cultivar ***2 was found to be a nuclear protein without transcriptional self-activation activity,constitutively expressed in different tissues of ROC22,and response to the stresses of methyl jasmonate(MeJA),abscisic acid(ABA),and *** is worth noting that transient overexpression of the ShNPR2 gene in Nicotiana benthamiana showed a higher sensitivity to the infection of Ralstonia solauacearum and Fusarium solani ***,and this regulatory effect was closely related to the expression changer of genes related to hypersensitive reaction(HR),SA,and ethylene(ET) synthesis *** addition,the promoter of the ShNPR2 gene,pro-ShNPR2,was isolated from ROC22 and found to have transcriptional ***,the activity of pro-ShNPR2 was upregulated by exogenous treatments with MeJA,ABA,and *** present study provided a theoretical and practical basis for comprehensively understanding the sequence characteristics,expression status,and disease resistance function of sugarcane NPR genes.

Use of forestry waste as an alternative raw material for generating metallurgical coke

Forestry waste(FW)is a significant renewable energy source in *** substitution of coal blends(BC)with forestry waste to produce metallurgical coke was investigated aiming at expanding alternative resources and reducing CO_(2)emissions in ironmaking *** BC with different ratios of FW were carbonized in a fixed bed reactor,and the physicochemical structure of the coke derived from FW/BC co-carbonization was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,solid-state^(13)C nuclear magnetic resonance,optical microscopy,and scanning electron *** results reveal that the suitable incorporation of FW in BC is 10 wt.%,and the index of coke quality exhibits a good correlation with the optical anisotropy index and the aromaticity of the as-obtained *** partial substitution of BC with FW exhibits potential benefits for colloid formation,owing to the higher hydrogen in ***,as the substitution ratio of BC with FW increases,it inhibits coke agglomeration due to more tortuous stacked structures formation during volatile releasing ***,it was identified that the substitution of higher BC ratios with FW results in the partial replacement of aromatic carbons by oxygenlinked carbons and aliphatic *** substitution leads to a reduction in the aromaticity of the as-obtained coke.

Omnidirectional simulation analysis of thermomechanical coupling mechanism in inertia friction welding of Ni-based superalloy

The coupling between heat and pressure is the kernel of inertia friction welding(IFW)and is still not fully understood.A novel 3D fully coupled finite element model based on a plastic friction pair was developed to simulate the IFW process of a Ni-based superalloy and reveal the omnidirectional thermo-mechanical coupling mechanism of the friction *** numerical model successfully simulated the deceleration,deformation processes,and peak torsional moments in IFW and captured the evolution of temperature,contact pressure,and *** simulated results were validated through measured thermal history,optical macrography,and axial *** results indicated that interfacial friction heat was the primary heat source,and plastic deformation energy only accounted for 4%of the *** increase in initial rotational speed and friction pressure elevated the peak temperature,reaching a maximum of 1525.5K at an initial rotational speed of 2000 r/min and friction pressure of 400 *** interface heat generation could form an axial temperature gradient exceeding 320K/*** radial inhomogeneities of heat generation and temperature were manifested in a concentric ring distribution with maximum heat flux and temperature ranging from 2/5 to 2/3 *** radial inhomogeneities were caused by increasing linear velocity along the radius and an opposite distribution of contact pressure,which could reach 1.7 times the set pressure at the *** circumferential inhomogeneity of thermomechanical distribution during rotary friction welding was revealed for the first time,benefiting from the 3D *** deflection and transformation of distribution in contact pressure and Mises stress were indicators of plastic deformation and transition of quasi-steady state *** critical Mises stress was 0.5 times the friction pressure in this *** presented modeling provides a reliable insight into the thermo-mechanical coupling mechanism of IFW and lays a solid found

Effects of photo-oxidation and transition metals on the formation of reactive oxygen species from aromatic compounds using spectroscopic method

Particulate matter(PM)can cause adverse health effects by overproducing reactive oxygen species(ROS).Although the ability of PM to induce ROS generation depends on its composi-tion and environmental *** study explores how photo-oxidation affects ROS gen-eration from aromatic compounds(ACs,including catechol(CAT),phthalic acid(PA),and 4,4-oxydibenzoic acid(4,4-OBA))and their mixtures with transition metals(TMs,includ-ing Fe(II),Mn(II),and Cu(II))using Fourier-transform infrared(FTIR)and Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy(UV-Vis).Results showed that photo-oxidation facilitated ROS generation from ***-Fe(II)/Cu(II)showed synergistic effects,but 4,4-OBA-Fe(II)/Cu(II)showed antag-onistic ***-Mn(II)and PA-Fe(II)/Cu(II)exhibited synergistic effects first and then showed antagonistic *** different interactions were due to complexation between ACs and *** photo-oxidized ACs-TMs significantly enhanced ROS generation com-pared with *** study suggested the photo-oxidation mechanism involved that the transfer ofπ-electrons from the ground to an excited state in benzene rings and func-tional groups,leading to the breakage and formation of chemical bonds or easierπ-electron transfer from ACs to *** former could generate ROS directly or produce polymers that promoted ROS generation,while the latter promoted ROS generation by transferringπ-electrons to dissolved oxygen *** study revealed that both interactions among components and photo-oxidation significantly influenced ROS *** studies should integrate broader atmospheric factors and PM components to fully assess oxidative potential and health impacts.

Spatiotemporal deformation analysis of glaciers and surrounding landscapes in the Shishapangma region using InSAR techniques

Glacier dynamics in the Himalayan midlatitudes,particularly in regions like the Shishapangma,are not yet fully understood,especially the localized topographic and climatic impacts on glacier *** study analyzes the spatiotemporal characteristics of glacier surface deformation in the Shishapangma region using the Small Baseline Subset(SBAS)Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(In SAR)*** analysis reveals an average deformation rate of-4.02±17.65 mm/yr across the entire study area,with glacier regions exhibiting significantly higher rates of uplift(16.87±13.20 mm/yr)and subsidence(20.11±14.55 mm/yr)compared to non-glacier *** identifies significant surface lowering on the mountain flanks and localized uplift in certain catchments,emphasizing the higher deformation rates in glacial areas compared to non-glacial *** found a strong positive correlation between temperature and cumulative deformation(correlation coefficient of 0.63),particularly in glacier areas(0.82).The research highlights the role of temperature as the primary driver of glacier wastage,particularly at lower elevations,with strong correlations found between temperature and cumulative *** also indicates the complex interactions between topographic features,notably,slope gradient,which shows a positive correlation with subsidence rates,especially for slopes below 35°.South-,southwest-,and west-facing slopes exhibit significant uplift,while north-,northeast-,and east-facing slopes predominantly ***,we identified transition zones between debris-covered glaciers and clean ice as areas of most intense deformation,with average rates exceeding 30 mm/yr,highlighting these as potential high-risk zones for *** study comprehensively analyzes the deformation characteristics in both glacier and non-glacier areas in the Shishapangma region,revealing the complex interplay of topographic,climatic,and hydrological factors influencing glacier dynamic

In this study,we investigate the critical phenomena of Kerr-AdS black holes under the modified first law of ***,we considered modified black hole thermodynamics that exhibit a van der Waalslike phase *** critical exponents were calculated,and then,a swallowtail diagram of free energy was *** with existing results,the main difference is the correspondence between the thermal quantities of Kerr-AdS black holes and the van der Waals *** a previous study[***,***,and ***,***.D 85044005(2012)],the correspondence was(Ω_(H),J)→(V,P),while in our study,the correspondence was(J,Ω_(H))→(V,P).This difference was owing to the rotating *** modified black hole thermodynamics were associated with rotating *** free energy in such a reference contains extra rotating energy,which induces a Legendre transformation in the(Ω_(H),J)cross-section,causing the difference in correspondence.
