The tapetum,a crucial innermost layer encompassing male reproductive cells within the anther wall,plays a pivotal role in normal pollen *** transcription factors (TFs) bHLH010/089/091 redundantly facilitate the rapid nuclear accumulation of DYSFUNCTIONAL TAPETUM 1,a gatekeeper TF in the ***,the regulatory mechanisms governing the activity of bHLH010/089/091 remain *** this study,we reveal that caffeoyl coenzyme A O-methyltransferase 1 (CCoAOMT1) is a negative regulator affecting the nuclear localization and function of bHLH010 and bHLH089,probably through their K259 *** findings underscore that CCoAOMT1 promotes the nuclear export and degradation of bHLH010 and ***,elevated CCoAOMT1 expression resulted in defective pollen development,mirroring the phenotype observed in bhlh010 bhlh089 ***,our investigation revealed that the K259A mutation in the bHLH089 protein disrupted its translocation from the nucleus to the cytosol and impeded its degradation induced by ***,transgenic plants with the probHLH089::bHLH089^(K259A)construct failed to rescue proper pollen development or gene expression in bhlh010 bhlh089 ***,these findings emphasize the need to maintain balanced TF homeostasis for male *** firmly establish CCoAOMT1 as a pivotal regulator that is instrumental in achieving equilibrium between the induction of the tapetum transcriptional network and ensuring appropriate anther development.

The navigation potential of the Arctic has improved with the rapid retreat of sea ice under continuous *** comprehensive evaluation of Arctic accessibility for low ice-breaking ships(civil use)in the mid-century is important to support coordinated international *** this study,the hydrological conditions and navigation potential in key areas and crucial straits along the Northern Sea Route(NSR)and Northwest Passage(NWP)were assessed under Shared Socioeconomic Pathways(SSPs)using the Polar Operational Limit Assessment Risk Indexing *** results showed that the most critical areas for navigation in the mid-century(2046-2055)are the waters around the New Siberian Islands and within the Parry *** navigability improves from SSP1-2.6 to SSP2-4.5 to SSP5-8.5,and the accessibility for PC7 ships under SSP2-4.5 is even better for OW ships under *** route on the north side of the New Siberian Islands is a relatively good choice within the NSR,and the southern route has a better navigation potential than the Parry Channel within the *** addition,the accessibility of the Dmitri Laptev Strait is better than that of the Sannikov Strait at a monthly scale,although the latter has more navigable ***,there is little difference in accessibility between the eastern and western parts of the Parry *** best nav-igation potential through the above straits is in September for ordinary ships,and the optimal time window is delayed and extended for PC7 *** results can serve as references for policy-making and navigation planning in the Arctic.

Effects of lactic acid bacteria isolated from fermented mustard on lowering cholesterol

Objective:To evaluate the ability of lactic acid bacteria(LAB)strains isolated from fermented mustard to lower the cholesterol in ***:The ability of 50 LAB strains isolated from fermented mustard on lowering cholesterol in vitro was determined by modified o-phtshalaldehyde *** LAB isolates were analyzed for their resistance to acid and bile *** with lowering cholesterol activity,were determined adherence to Caco-2 ***:Strain B0007,B0006 and B0022 assimilated more cholesterol than BCRC10474 and *** isolated strains showed tolerance to pH 3.0 for 3h despite variations in the degree of viability and bile-tolerant strains,with more than 10~s CFU/mL after incubation for 24 h at 1%oxigall in *** addition,strain B0007 and B0022 identified as Lactobacillus plantarum with 16S rDNA sequences were able to adhere to the Caco-2 cell ***:These strains B0007 and B0022 may be potential functional sources for cholesterollowering activities as well as adhering to Caco-2 cell lines.

Based on QCD sum rule three-point and two-point external field formulas respectively, the vector vacuumsusceptibilities are calculated at the mean-field level in the framework of the global color symmetry model. It is shownthat the above two approaches of determination of the vector vacuum susceptibility may lead to different results. Thereason of this contradiction is discussed.

Decay constants of pseudoscalar and vector mesons with improved holographic wavefunction

We calculate the decay constants of light and heavy-light pseudoscalar and vector mesons with improved soft-wall holographic wavefuntions, which take into account the effects of both quark masses and dynamical spins. We find that the predicted decay constants, especially for the ratio fV/fP, based on light-front holographic QCD, can be significantly improved, once the dynamical spin effects are taken into account by introducing the helicity-dependent wavefunctions. We also perform detailed χ2 analyses for the holographic parameters （i.e. the mass-scale parameter κ and the quark masses）, by confronting our predictions with the data for the charged-meson decay constants and the meson spectra. The fitted values for these parameters are generally in agreement with those obtained by fitting to the Regge trajectories. At the same time, most of our results for the decay constants and their ratios agree with the data as well as the predictions based on lattice QCD and QCD sum rule approaches, with only a few exceptions observed.

The effects of coal blending on the formation and properties of particulate matter during combustion

The control of particulate matter (PM) emissions from coal combustion becomes an urgent work due to their adverse effects on human health. Coal blending is a promising option for submicron particulate (PM1) reduction. This study addressed the effects of coal blending on the formation and properties of particulate matter in combustion process. Coal blends from lignite and bituminous coal,with different blend ratios (9:1,7:3,5:5,3:7 and 1:9),were combusted in a drop tube furnace. The mass size distribution,concentration,elemental composition and morphology of the particulate matter generated under O2/N2 and O2/CO2 conditions were characterized. Particulate matter was collected by a low pressure impactor (LPI),which aerodynamically segregated particulates into thirteen fractions with sizes ranging from 0.03 to 9.8 μm. The results showed that coal blending reduced PM1 generation,compared with the calculated average values from the combustion of constituent coals. This indicated that the mineral interactions had a great effect on PM1 reduction. The blend ratio also played an important role in the suppression of PM1 genera-tion. In this experimental study,PM1 generation suffered a maximum suppression at the blend ratio of 7:3. The O2/CO2 atmos-phere affected the formation and properties of the PM1 during coal blends combustion. Compared with the O2/N2 combustion,the interaction of minerals was weakened under O2/CO2 combustion,thus the suppression of PM1 generation decreased after coal blending. Compared with the calculated values,the concentrations and percentages of Ca,Fe in PM1 decreased,but the concentra-tions of Ca,Fe,Si and Al in coarse particulates (PM10+) increased after coal blends combustion. The interactions between the aluminosilicates in the bituminous coal and volatile elements Ca,Fe in the lignite were thought to contribute to the suppression of PM1 generation during the combustion of coal blends.

Second-look endoscopy with prophylactic hemostasis is still effective after endoscopic submucosal dissection for gastric neoplasm

AIM: The clinical value of second-look endoscopy(SLE) after endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) has been doubted continuously. The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of SLE based on the risk of delayed bleeding after ESD. METHODS: A total of 310 lesions of gastric epithelial neoplasms treated by ESD were reviewed. The lesions were divided into two groups based on the risk of postprocedural bleeding estimated by Forrest classification. The high risk of rebleeding group(Forrest?Ⅰa,?Ⅰb and Ⅱa) required endoscopic treatment, while the low risk of rebleeding group(Forrest Ⅱb, Ⅱc and Ⅲ) did not. Delayed bleeding after ESD was investigated. RESULTS: Sixty-six lesions were included in the high risk of rebleeding group and 244 lesions in the low risk of rebleeding group. There were no significant differences in delayed bleeding between the high risk group(1/66) and the low risk group(1/244)(P = 0.38). The high risk of rebleeding group tended to be located more often in the mid-third and had higher appearance of flat or depressed shape than the low risk group(P = 0.004 and P = 0.006, respectively). CONCLUSION: SLE with pre-emptive prophylactic endoscopic treatment is still effective in preventing delayed bleeding after ESD.

A Novel Method to Get Super-Resolution Images from Low-Resolution Compressed Video

In order to resolve the problems of discontented restoration effect and confined applying scope which exist in the current compressed video restoration algorithms, a novel method to get super-resolution images from low-resolution compressed video is proposed in this paper. At first, a uniform model is presented and the restoration problem in the Bayesian framework is formulated under the MAP criterion, then the focus is put on the hybrid motion-compensation and transform coding schemes, at last the methods of getting the parameters are provided. The results of the simulation clearly demonstrate that our method not only has the properties of finer vision effect and wider applying scope, but also performs better than those of current classical algorithms in the aspects of Peak Signal Noise Ratio （PSNR） under the basis of the same condition.
