In 2022,Yellow Sea green tide caused by Ulva prolifera reached a historic minimum and the coastal areas of Shandong Peninsula were less ***,the largest amount of seaweed biomass has been washed ashore on Lianyungang and Rizhao coasts since *** studied the development pattern of Yellow Sea green tide in 2022,and analyzed the key environmental factors on the growth and drifting,then discussed the possible reasons that resulted in the massive stranding of green tide biomass in Lianyungang and *** show under the combined influence of the east to southeast winds and currents with shoreward anomalies,green tide drifted to the coastal waters between Shandong and Jiangsu provinces and the distribution areas located westward compared with previous years(2008–2021).Floating *** rafts from the coastal waters of Binhai and Sheyang drifted continuously into the coastal waters of Lianyungang and Rizhao,providing important supplements for Yellow Sea green *** green tide in 2022 distributed close to the coastal waters,the abundant nutrients might support their continuous high growth *** addition,the amount of rainfall around Shandong Peninsula from late June to early July were significantly higher than in previous years,which might promote the development of green tide to some extent.

外语视频直播课堂具有独特的模态设计模式。文章首先建构了外语视频直播课堂的模态设计分析框架,然后基于此分析框架并通过多模态标注对优质少儿英语视频直播课程的模态设计进行了分析,聚焦模态选择和配置特征。研究发现:受语境、意义、模态可及性和供用特征以及符际关系等的综合制约。(1)口语是师生建构意义的主要模态;手势是教师经常选择但学生偶尔使用的模态;教学工具和教学物理环境模态也被教师用来建构意义,却很少被学生选择;文字和与之产生紧密逻辑语义关联的概念图像则大多同时被课件制作者选择用以建构意义。(2)不同教学环节的模态配置总体上呈现出多样化和多模态的特点,各种模态发挥不同的意义潜势且相互间形成多样化的协同关系。最后,文章指出外语视频直播课堂的模态设计需遵守趣味性、前景化和可及性原则等模态选择原则以及适配、主次、经济性和动态调整原则等模态配置原则。

E1 Nio phenomenon in simple ocean data assimilation data

To study how the air and sea interact with each other during El Nifio/La Nifia onsets, extended associate pattern analysis （EAPA） is adopted with the simple ocean data assimilation （SODA） data. The results show that as El Niйo/La Niйa＇s parents their behaviors are quite different, there does not exist a relatively independent tropical atmosphere but does exist a relatively independent tropical Pacific Ocean because the air is heated from the bottom surface instead of the top surface and of much stronger baroclinic instability than the sea and has a very large inter-tropical convergence zone covering the most tropical Pacific Ocean. The idea that it is the wester burst and wind convergence, coming from middle latitudes directly that produce the seawater eastward movement and meridional convergence in the upper levels and result in the typical E1 Nifio sea surface temperature warm signal is confirmed again.

Variation of Indo-Pacific upper ocean heat content during 2001–2012 revealed by Argo

Understanding of the temporal variation of oceanic heat content （OHC） is of fundamental importance to the prediction of climate change and associated global meteorological phenomena. However, OHC characteristics in the Pacific and Indian oceans are not well understood. Based on in situ ocean temperature and salinity profiles mainly from the Argo program, we estimated the upper layer （0-750 m） OHC in the Indo-Pacific Ocean （40°S-40°N, 30°E-80°W）. Spatial and temporal variability of OHC and its likely physical mechanisms are also analyzed. Climatic distributions of upper-layer OHC in the Indian and Pacific oceans have a similar saddle pattern in the subtropics, and the highest OHC value was in the northern Arabian Sea. However, OHC variabilities in the two oceans were different. OHC in the Pacific has an east-west see-saw pattern, which does not appear in the Indian Ocean. In the Indian Ocean, the largest change was around 10°S. The most interesting phenomenon is that, there was a long-term shift of OHC in the Indo-Pacific Ocean during 2001-2012. Such variation coincided with modulation of subsurface temperature/salinity. During 2001-2007, there was subsurface cooling （freshening） nearly the entire upper 400 m layer in the western Pacific and warming （salting） in the eastern Pacific. During 2008-2012, the thermocline deepened in the western Pacific but shoaled in the east. In the Indian Ocean, there was only cooling （upper 150 m only） and freshening （almost the entire upper 400 m） during 2001-2007. The thermocline deepened during 2008-2012 in the Indian Ocean. Such change appeared from the equator to off the equator and even to the subtropics （about 20°N/S） in the two oceans. This long-term change of subsurface temperature/salinity may have been caused by change of the wind field over the two oceans during 2001-2012, in turn modifying OHC.

Argonaute protein as a linker to command center of physiological processes

MicroRNAs （miRNAs） post-transcriptionally regulate gene expression by binding to target mRNAs with perfect or imperfect complementarity, recruiting an Argonaute （AGO） protein complex that usually results in degradation or translational repression of the target mRNA. AGO proteins function as the Slicer enzyme in miRNA and small interfering RNA （siRNA） pathways involved in human physiological and pathophysiological processes, such as antiviral responses and disease formation. Although the past decade has witnessed rapid advancement in studies of AGO protein functions, to further elucidate the molecular mechanism of AGO proteins in cellular function and biochemical process is really a challenging area for researchers. In order to understand the molecular causes underlying the pathological processes, we mainly focus on five fundamental problems of AGO proteins, including evolution, functional domain, subcellular location, post-translational modification and protein-protein interactions. Our discussion highlight their roles in early diagnosis, disease prevention, drug target identification, drug response, etc.

Objective:Arsenic trioxide(ATO or As2O3)has beneficial effects on suppressing neointimal hyperplasia and restenosis,but the mechanism is still *** goal of this study is to further understand the mechanism of ATO's inhibitory effect on vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs).Methods and results:Through in vitro cell culture and in vivo stent implanting into the carotid arteries of rabbit,a synthetic-to-contractile phenotypic transition was induced and the proliferation of VSMCs was inhibited by ATO.F-actin filaments were clustered and the elasticity modulus was increased within the phenotypic modulation of VSMCs induced by ATO in ***,Yes-associated protein(YAP)nuclear translocation was inhibited by ATO both in vivo and in *** was found that ROCK inhibitor or YAP inactivator could partially mask the phenotype modulation of ATO on ***:The interaction of YAP with the ROCK pathway through ATO seems to mediate the contractile phenotype of *** provides an indication of the clinical therapeutic mechanism for the beneficial bioactive effect of ATO-drug eluting stent(AES)on in-stent restenosis(ISR).

In this paper,the numerical simulation method is used to study the ballistic performances of hourglass lattice sandwich structures with the same mass under the vertical incidence of *** is paid to elucidating the influences of rod cross-section dimensions,structure height,structure layer,and rod inclination angle on the deformation mode,ballistic performances,and ability to change the ballistic direction of *** results show that the ballistic performances of hourglass lattice sandwich structures are mainly affected by their structural *** this respect,structural parameters optimization of the hourglass lattice sandwich structures enable one to effectively improve their ballistic limit velocity and,consequently,ballistic performances.

Resilience-incorporated seismic risk assessment of precast concrete frames with“dry”connections

A resilience-incorporated risk assessment framework is proposed and demonstrated in this study to manifest the advantageous seismic resilience of precast concrete frame(PCF)structures with“dry”connections in terms of their low damage and rapid *** framework integrates various uncertainties in the seismic hazard,fragility,capacity,demand,loss functions,and post-earthquake *** this study,the PCF structures are distinguished from ordinary reinforced concrete frame(RCF)structures by characterizing multiple limit states for the PCF based on its unique damage ***,probabilistic story-wise pushover analyses are performed to yield story-wise capacities for the predefined limit *** the seismic resilience analysis,a step-wise recovery model is proposed to idealize the functionality recovery process,with separate considerations of the repair and non-repair *** recovery model leverages the economic loss and downtime to delineate the stochastic post-earthquake recovery curves for the resilience loss *** such,contingencies in the probabilistic post-earthquake repairs are incorporated and the empirical judgments on the recovery parameters are largely *** proposed framework is demonstrated through a comparative study between two“dry”connected PCFs and one RCF designed as alternative structural systems for a prototype *** results from the risk quantification indicate that the PCFs show reduced loss hazards and lower expected losses relative to the ***,the PCF equipped with energy dissipation devices at the“dry”connections largely reduces the expected economic loss,downtime,and resilience loss by 29%,56%,and 60%,respectively,compared to the RCF.

New findings on the influence of El Ni?o events on tropical cyclone formation

Tropical cyclones typically form over warm tropical and subtropical ocean surfaces, as their formation and intensification rely primarily on the energy provided by the ocean. Pioneering research by Gray (1968) revealed that the formation of tropical cyclones requires the sea surface temperature (SST) to be no less than 26.5°C. Consequently, SST is commonly recognized as a crucial parameter among the environmental factors influencing tropical cyclone formation(Gray, 1979; Emanuel and Nolan, 2004).

The CO_(2)reduction into carbon-contained fuel via solar energy offers the powerful tools to realize the zero-emission carbon *** to the intriguing features of the two-dimensional(2D)heterostructures,it is susceptible to modulate the electronic structure as well as the surface geometry for optimizing the photocatalytic CO_(2)*** this perspective,we surveyed the fundamental insights of 2D semiconductor heterostructures,involving the fabrication strategies and classification of the 2D semiconductor ***,we have detailly discussed the overview of 2D semiconductor heterostructure for optimizing CO_(2)photocatalytic influenced factors,including the solar energy utilization,photogenerated carriers separation,and redox reaction ***,we showed the significant advantages of 2D heterostructures in elevating CO_(2)photoreduction performance,focusing on activity,selectivity and *** analyzing the limitations and developments,we ended by putting forward insights into the further researches about the CO_(2)photocatalysts and reactor design,even industrial applications.
