Population genomic data reveal low genetic diversity,divergence and local adaptation among threatened Reeves's Pheasant(Syrmaticus reevesii)

Population genomic data could provide valuable information for conservation efforts;however,limited studies have been conducted to investigate the genetic status of threatened ***’s Pheasant(Syrmaticus reevesii)is facing population decline,attributed to increases in habitat *** is a knowledge gap in understanding the genomic status and genetic basis underlying the local adaptation of this threatened ***,we used population genomic data to assess population structure,genetic diversity,inbreeding patterns,and genetic ***,we identified candidate genes linked with adaptation across the current distribution of Reeves’s *** present study assembled the first de novo genome sequence of Reeves’s Pheasant and annotated 19,458 *** also sequenced 30 individuals from three populations(Dabie Mountain,Shennongjia,Qinling Mountain)and found that there was clear population structure among those *** comparing with other threatened species,we found that Reeves’s Pheasants have low genetic *** of homozygosity suggest that the Shennongjia population has experienced serious *** demographic history results indicated that three populations experienced several declines during the glacial *** adaptative analysis among the populations identified 241 candidate genes under directional *** are involved in a large variety of processes,including the immune response and *** results suggest that the three populations should be considered as three different conservation *** current study provides genetic evidence for conserving the threatened Reeves’s Pheasant and provides genomic resources for global biodiversity management.

Genetic load and inbreeding are recognized as important factors to be considered in conservation *** levels of both can increase the risk of population extinction by negatively impacting fitness-related characters in many species of plants and animals,including humans(inbreeding depression).Genomic tech-niques are increasingly used in measuring and understanding genetic load and inbreeding and their importance in evolution and *** used whole genome resequencing data from two sibling grouse species in subarctic Eurasia to quantify *** found a large range of inbreeding measured as FROH(fraction of runs of homozygosity)in individuals from different populations of Chinese Grouse(Tetrastes sewerzowi)and Hazel Grouse(***).FROH estimated from genome-wide runs of homozygosity(ROH)ranged from 0.02 to 0.24 among Chinese Grouse populations and from 0.01 to 0.44 in Hazel *** from a population of Chinese Grouse residing in the Qilian mountains and from the European populations of Hazel Grouse(including samples from Sweden,Germany and Northeast Poland)were the most inbred(FROH ranged from 0.10 to 0.23 and 0.11 to 0.44,respectively).These levels are comparable to other highly inbred populations of *** Grouse from northern China and Chinese Grouse residing in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau showed relatively lower inbreeding *** of the ratio between deleterious missense mutations and synonymous mutations revealed higher levels in Chinese Grouse as compared to Hazel *** results are possibly explained by higher fixation rates,mutational melt down,in the range-restricted Chinese Grouse compared to the wide-ranging Hazel ***,when we compared the relatively more severe class of loss-of-function muta-tions,Hazel Grouse had slightly higher levels than Chinese Grouse,a result which may indicate that purifying selection(purging)has been more efficient in Chinese Grouse on this class of mutations.

中华人民共和国开始与非洲建立联系实际上是从1949年建国起,1950年代开始实施了一些列援非项目。中国和非洲从不同的方面产生关系,如农业、经济、政治和社会方面。建设了马路、铁路、运动场馆、办公大楼等许多建筑。中国给予非洲赠款和债务减免及各种援助。然而,近些年,随着来自中国援助不断增长,西方评论家对于这个新兴的捐助者,以及他们自身在援助形式上的影响能力表现出越来越多的焦虑和质.因此这份论文会解答一些问题——中国在非洲的现状是否真正获利,中国和非洲的外交关系是何种形式,集中于外交关系,经济关系和援助关系。作者会以乌干达为例做出回答。中国对非洲在很多方面的感兴趣,中国在自然资源上的兴趣如石油,中国也视非洲为产品出口市场,同时也是避免孤立的联盟。中国与非洲的交好给予经济和政治上的策略。非洲从中获益匪浅,然而这种关系也有负面影响。例如,中非之间的贸易始终不平衡,中国也向非洲市场倾销残次的商品。所以以上所述,非洲国家必须要求中国建立平等的经济关系。他们不止满足于出口他们的原材料,他们也应接受技术转让和其他更多的机会作为交换。在结束本文,笔者将给出结论发现,中国和非洲如何能够加强他们之间的关系也建议建议。与上述意见和建议落实到位,中国和非洲之间的关系将取得积极成果,非洲将不希望看到历史重演的自我就像很多年前发生了什么事,他们的西方同行。

Functional characterization of every single protein is a major challenge of the post-genomic era. The large-scale analysis of a cell's proteins, proteomics, seeks to provide these proteins with reliable annotations regarding their interaction partners and functions in the cellular machinery. An important step on this way is to determine the subcellular localization of each protein. Eukaryotic cells are divided into subcellular compartments, or organelles. Transport across the membrane into the organelles is a highly regulated and complex cellular process. Predicting the subcellular localization by computational means has been an area of vivid activity during recent years. The publicly available prediction methods differ mainly in four aspects: the underlying biological motivation, the computational method used, localization coverage, and reliability, which are of importance to the user. This review provides a short description of the main events in the protein sorting process and an overview of the most commonly used methods in this field.

Multiple sclerosis(MS) is a complex disease with many different immune cells involved in its pathogenesis, and in particular T cells as the most recognized cell type. Recently, the innate immune system has also been researched for its effect on the disease. Hence, cells of the immune system play vital roles in either ameliorating or exacerbating the disease. The genetic and environmental factors, as well as the etiology and pathogenesis are of utmost importance for the development of MS. An insight into the roles play by T cells, B cells, natural killer cells, and dendritic cells in MS and the animal model experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis, will be presented. Understanding the mechanisms of action for current therapeutic modalities should help developing new therapeutic tools to treat this disease and other autoimmune diseases.

Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the fourth leading cause of death in the world. COPD is a progressive disease that could lead to chronic hypoxemia, which requires treatment as domiciliary Long-Term Oxygen Therapy (LTOT). There is a need for increased knowledge about self-care strategies used by individuals living with COPD and LTOT. Objective: The aim was to explore experiences and self-care strategies in patients living with both COPD and LTOT. Sample: The sample consisted of five men and five women diagnosed with COPD being prescribed LTOT for more than one year. Method: Ten interviews were undertaken and analyzed for both manifest and latent content. Results: Living with COPD and LTOT was associated with experiences of guilt although there were doubts about what had caused the lung disease. Both the lung disease and the oxygen therapy had a negative impact on their self-image. Anxiety was expressed when thoughts about the remaining time occurred. There was a constant balance between diminishing abilities and increasing restrictions related to the lung disease and the therapy. In order to compensate for arising imbalance, self-care strategies had been initiated aimed at preserving the present state of health, enabling and facilitating physical activity and promoting a positive attitude. Conclusion: The current study suggests that individuals living with COPD and LTOT are encouraged to adopt self-care strategies directed towards maintaining stability with regard to the lung disease, the oxygen therapy, physical capability and emotional reactions.

Atmospheric methane(CH4) concentrations have shown a puzzling resumption in growth since 2007 following a period of stabilization from 2000 to *** hypotheses have been proposed to explain the temporal variations in CH4growth,and attribute the rise of atmospheric CH4either to increases in emissions from fossil fuel activities,agriculture and natural wetlands,or to a decrease in the atmospheric chemical ***,we use a comprehensive ensemble of CH4source estimates and isotopic δ13C-CH4source signature data to show that the resumption of CH4growth is most likely due to increased anthropogenic *** emission scenarios that have the fewest biases with respect to isotopic composition suggest that the agriculture,landfill and waste sectors were responsible for 53±13% of the renewed growth over the period 2007-2017 compared to 2000-2006;industrial fossil fuel sources explained an additional 34 ±24%,and wetland sources contributed the least at 13 ±9%.The hypothesis that a large increase in emissions from natural wetlands drove the decrease in atmospheric δ13C-CH4values cannot be reconciled with current process-based wetland *** finding suggests the need for increased wetland measurements to better understand the contemporary and future role of wetlands in the rise of atmospheric methane and climate *** findings highlight the predominant role of anthropogenic activities in driving the growth of atmospheric CH4concentrations.
