lingguizhugan decoction(lGZG)has been investigated in basic studies,with satisfactory effects on insulin resistance in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFld).This translational approach aimed to explore the effect and underlying mechanism of lGZG in clinical setting.A randomized,double-blinded,placebo-controlled trial was performed.A total of 243 eligible participants with NAFld were equally allocated to receive lGZG(two groups:standard dose and low dose)or placebo for 12 weeks on the basis of lifestyle *** primary efficacy variable was homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR).Analyses were performed in two populations in accordance with body mass index(BMI;overweight/obese,BMI 24 kg/m^(2);lean,BMIlow-dose lGZG significantly decreased their HOMA-IR level compared with placebo(0.19(1.47)versus 0.08(1.99),P=0.038).For lean subjects,neither dose of lGZG showed a superior effect compared with *** dNA immunoprecipitation sequencing and real-time qPCR found that the dNA N6-methyladenine modification levels of protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 3A(PPP1R3A)and autophagy related 3(ATG3)significantly increased after lGZG intervention in overweight/obese ***-dose lGZG effectively improved insulin resistance in overweight/obese subjects with *** underlying mechanism may be related to the regulation of dNA N6-methyladenine modification of PPP1R3A and *** subjects may not be a targeted population for lGZG.

We analyze the frequencies of three known roAp stars,TIC 96315731,TIC 72392575,and TIC 318007796,using the light curves from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey *** TIC 96315731,the rotational and pulsational frequencies are 0.1498360 day-1and 165.2609 day-1,*** the case of TIC 72392575,the rotational frequency is 0.25551 *** detect a quintuplet of pulsation frequencies with a center frequency of135.9233 day-1,along with two signals within the second pair of rotational sidelobes of the quintuplet separated by the rotation *** two signals may correspond to the frequencies of a dipole *** TIC318007796,the rotational and pulsational frequencies are 0.2475021 day-1,192.73995 day-1,and196.33065 day-1,*** on the oblique pulsator model,we calculate the rotation inclination （i）and magnetic obliquity angle （b） for the stars,which provide the geometry of the pulsation *** the phases of the frequency quintuplets,the pulsation amplitude and phase modulation curves,and the results of spherical harmonic decomposition,we conclude that the pulsation modes of frequency quintuplets in TIC96315731,TIC 72392575,and TIC 318007796 correspond to distorted dipole mode,distorted quadrupole mode,and distorted dipole mode,respectively.

The addition of surface acoustic wave(SAW)technologies to microfluidics has greatly advanced lab-on-a-chip applications due to their unique and powerful attributes,including high-precision manipulation,versatility,integrability,biocompatibility,contactless nature,and rapid ***,the development of SAW microfluidic devices is limited by complex and time-consuming micro/nanofabrication techniques and access to cleanroom facilities for multistep photolithography and vacuum-based *** simplify the fabrication of SAW microfluidic devices with customizable dimensions and functions,we utilized the additive manufacturing technique of aerosol jet *** successfully fabricated customized SAW microfluidic devices of varying materials,including silver nanowires,graphene,and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)polystyrene sulfonate(PEdOT:PSS).To characterize and compare the acoustic actuation performance of these aerosol jet printed SAW microfluidic devices with their cleanroom-fabricated counterparts,the wave displacements and resonant frequencies of the different fabricated devices were directly measured through scanning laser doppler ***,to exhibit the capability of the aerosol jet printed devices for lab-on-a-chip applications,we successfully conducted acoustic streaming and particle concentration ***,we demonstrated a novel solution-based,direct-write,single-step,cleanroom-free additive manufacturing technique to rapidly develop SAW microfluidic devices that shows viability for applications in the fields of biology,chemistry,engineering,and medicine.

Reliable calculations of nuclear binding energies by the Gaussian process of machine learning

Reliable calculations of nuclear binding energies are crucial for advancing the research of nuclear physics. Machine learning provides an innovative approach to exploring complex physical problems. In this study, the nuclear binding energies are modeled directly using a machine-learning method called the Gaussian process. First, the binding energies for 2238 nuclei with Z > 20 and N > 20 are calculated using the Gaussian process in a physically motivated feature space, yielding an average deviation of 0.046 MeV and a standard deviation of 0.066 MeV. The results show the good learning ability of the Gaussian process in the studies of binding energies. Then, the predictive power of the Gaussian process is studied by calculating the binding energies for 108 nuclei newly included in AME2020. The theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental data, reflecting the good predictive power of the Gaussian process. Moreover, the α-decay energies for 1169 nuclei with 50 ≤ Z ≤ 110 are derived from the theoretical binding energies calculated using the Gaussian process. The average deviation and the standard deviation are, respectively, 0.047 MeV and 0.070 MeV. Noticeably, the calculated α-decay energies for the two new isotopes ^ (204 )Ac(Huang et al. Phys lett B 834, 137484(2022)) and ^ (207) Th(Yang et al. Phys Rev C 105, l051302(2022)) agree well with the latest experimental data. These results demonstrate that the Gaussian process is reliable for the calculations of nuclear binding energies. Finally, the α-decay properties of some unknown actinide nuclei are predicted using the Gaussian process. The predicted results can be useful guides for future research on binding energies and α-decay properties.

In order to explore an efficient and green method to deal with nitrobenzene(NB)pollutant,reduced graphene oxide(r GO)as an electron shuttle was applied to enhance the extracellular electron transfer(EET)process of Geobacter sulfurreducens,which was a typical electrochemically active bacteria(EAB).In this study,r GO biosynthesis was achieved via the reduction of graphene oxide(GO)by *** PCA within 3 ***,the r GOPCA combining system completely reduced 50-200μmol/l of NB to aniline as end product within one *** characterization revealed that PCA cells were partly wrapped by rGO,and therefore the distance of electron transfer between strain PCA and r GO material was ***,the Id/IGof GO,r GO,and r GO-PCA combining system were 0.990,1.293 and 1.31,***,highest currents were observed in r GO-PCA-NB as 12.950μA/-12.560μA at -408 m V/156 m V,attributing to the faster electron transfer efficiency in EET ***,the NB reduction was mainly due to:(I)direct EET process from *** PCA to NB;(II)r GO served as electron shuttle and accelerated electron transfer to NB,which was the main degradation ***,the biosynthesis of r GO via GO reduction by Geobacter promoted the NB removal process,which provided a facile strategy to alleviate the problematic nitroaromatic pollution in the environment.
