Background.Hemod.alysis(Hd. per se is a risk factor for *** the growing bod. of evid.nce on blood.flow restriction(BFR) exercise in Hd.patients,id.ntification of possible risk factors related.to the prothrombotic agent d.d.mer is required.for the safety and.feasibility of this training *** aim of the present stud. was to id.ntify risk factors associated.with higher d.d.mer levels and.to d.termine the acute effect of resistance exercise(RE) with BFR on this ***:Two hund.ed.and.six Hd.patients volunteered.for this stud.(all with a glomerular filtration rate of d.of 50% arterial occlusion pressure d.ring 50 min sessions of Hd.intrad.alytic exercise).RE repetitions includ.d.concentric and.eccentric lifting phases(each lasting 2 s) and.were supervised.by a strength and.cond.tioning ***:Several variables were associated.with elevated.levels of d.d.mer,includ.ng higher blood.glucose,citrate use,recent card.ovascular events,recent intercurrents,higher inflammatory status,catheter as vascular access,old.r patients(>70 years old.,and.Hd.***,RE+BFR significantly increases d.d.mer after 4 *** with bord.rline baseline d.d.mer levels(400-490 ng/mL) d.splayed.increased.risk of elevating d.d.mer over the normal range(≥500 ng/mL).Conclusion:These results id.ntified.factors associated.with a heightened.prothrombotic state and.may assist in the screening process for Hd.patients who wish to und.rgo RE+BFR.d.d.mer and.or other fibrinolysis factors should.be assessed.at baseline and.throughout the protocol as a precautionary measure to maximize safety d.ring RE+BFR.

Introd.ction: Med.cal treatment for POAG is continuous and.lifelong treatment. The aim of this stud. was to evaluate the relationship between the cost of this treatment and.patients’ income and.the impact of this relationship on treatment compliance. Materials and.Method.: Prospective cross-sectional stud. with a d.scriptive aim covering sociod.mographic d.ta, average incomes, and.d.rect and.ind.rect costs of treatment of 57 patients followed.for POAG d.ring the period.from January 1, 2012, to d.cember 31, 2016 (5 years). Results: The patients were aged.25 to 77 years (mean = 54.4 years) with a male pred.minance (sex ratio = 1.5). Retirees were the most represented.(26.32%), followed.by workers in the informal sector (14.04%) and.housewives (12.28%). Patients who had.an annual income less than or equal to 900,000 CFA francs (€1370.83) per year represented.56.14% and.those who d.d.not have health coverage represented.57.89%. The treatment was monotherapy (64.91%), d.al therapy (31.58%) or triple therapy (3.05%) and.the average ratio of “annual cost of treatment to annual income” was 0.56 with for maximum 2.23 and.0.02 as minimum. Patients who consid.red.the cost of treatment unbearable for their income represented.78.95%. Conclusion: Prevention of blind.ess d.e to glaucoma requires early d.tection but also the establishment of health coverage mechanisms to improve compliance with med.cal treatment. In ad.ition, consid.ration should.be given to the d.velopment of glaucoma surgery in our country, the ind.cation of which could.be the first intention in certain patients, consid.ring for those patients, the geographical and.financial accessibility of med.cal treatment. .

盐沼是一种富含碳的生态系统,通过有效地固定大气中的CO_(2),在气候调节中发挥着重要的作用.然而,气候变化对盐沼造成了严重威胁,可能会影响盐沼的碳汇过程.在此背景下,间隙水交换(PEX)碳排放作为一项重要但一直被忽视的碳循环过程应受到重视.本文系统评估了盐沼中碳和温室气体排放的驱动因素,揭示了PEX作为主要过程对碳和温室气体动态变化的调控作用.通过综合分析全球33个盐沼PEX案例后发现,全球盐沼PEX碳通量约占全球盐沼初级生产力的48%,超过全球盐沼有机碳埋藏量的2.2倍.这一发现突显了PEX在盐沼碳收支中的主导作用.尽管PEX排放的部分无机碳以CO_(2)形式返回大气中,但剩余的碳酸盐会在海洋中长期稳定储存.因此,这项研究对于加强全球蓝碳评估,并为利用盐沼作为基于自然的解决方案来应对全球气候变化提供了科学依据.

Channel flows of Plate Heat Exchangers (PHEs) were assessed.by experiments with three d.fferent chevron angle arrangements in turbulent regime. Two chevron angles were selected.to assess low and.high pressure d.op channels, besid.s a third.mixed.configuration as to achieve in-between results regard.ng hyd.aulic performance. Friction factor correlations were provid.d.with the channel Reynold. number ranging from 1175 to 8325. Two-d.mensional (2d. mean velocity field.was obtained.by Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) with Reynold. number equal to 3450. To the best of our knowled.e, this is the first experimental stud. that quantified.the complete 2d.velocity field.of a typical PHE channel. This value allowed.comparison with literature results of Plate and.Shell Heat Exchanger (PSHE) channels with the same Reynold. number. PSHE mean velocity field.is highly heterogeneous as compared.to the one obtained.for PHE channels. Peak velocity magnitud. in the PSHE center is 50% higher than its bulk velocity, whereas this value is only 15% higher in the PHE center. Pressure d.op in PHE mixed.channels cannot be approximated.by averaging chevron angles: furrow flow prevailed.in the specified.cond.tions. The axial velocity is asymmetric regard.ng the vertical plane. Smooth streamlines prevail in the channel inlet. Recirculation zones at the channel exit affect pipe flow in the manifold.outlet with swirling flow structures. The necessary length to obtain fully d.veloped.pipe flow at the channel outlet was estimated. Significant velocity components occur in the d.stribution areas and.can limit the heat exchanger performance. The results reported.herein are essential to und.rstand.how the PHE channel geometry affects the velocity field.and. therefore, local heat transfer and.d.ssipation processes.
