This paper is based on a previously developed bio-inspired Flapping Wing Aerial Vehicle(FWAV),RoboFalcon,which can fly with a morphing-coupled flapping pattern.In this paper,a simple flapping stroke control system based on Hall effect sensors is designed and applied,which is capable of assigning different up-and down-stroke speeds for the RoboFalcon platform to achieve an adjustable downstroke ratio.The aerodynamic and power characteristics of the morphing-coupled flapping pattern and the conventional flapping pattern with varying downstroke ratios are measured through a wind tunnel experiment,and the corresponding aerodynamic models are developed and analyzed by the nonlinear least squares method.The relatively low power consumption of the slow-downstroke mode of this vehicle is verified through outdoor flight tests.The results of wind tunnel experiments and flight tests indicate that increased downstroke duration can improve aerodynamic and power performance for the RoboFalcon platform.

T1 colorectal cancer(CRC),defined by tumor invasion confined to the submucosa,has historically been managed by surgery.Improved understanding of recurrence and lymph node metastases risk,coupled with advances in endoscopic resection techniques,have led to an increasing capacity for organ-sparing local excision.Minimally invasive management of T1 CRC begins with optical evaluation of the lesion to diagnose invasive disease and quantify depth of invasion,which informs therapeutic decision making.Modality selection between various available endoscopic resection techniques depends upon lesion characteristics,technique risk-benefit profiles,and location-specific implications.Following endoscopic resection,established histopathology features determine the risk of recurrence and subsequent management including surveillance or adjuvant surgical excision.The management of non-operative candidates deviates from conventional recommendations with emerging treatment strategies in select populations.

BACKGROUND Surgery for obese patients carries a higher risk of anesthesia complications compared with surgery for nonobese patients.Thus,a safe and effective anesthesia strategy is necessary to improve the medical experience of such patients and ensure their safety.AIM To compared the effectiveness and safety of remimazolam besylate versus dexmedetomidine(DEX)in gastrointestinal surgery in obese patients.METHODS The study cohort included 60 obese patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery between July 2021 and April 2023,comprising 30 patients who received DEX intervention(control group)and 30 patients who received remimazolam besylate intervention(research group).Heart rate(HR),respiratory rate(RR),mean arterial pressure(MAP),blood oxygen saturation(SpO_(2)),safety(nausea and vomiting,bradycardia,hypotension,and apnea),anesthesia and examination indices[induction time,anesthesia recovery time,and postanesthesia care unit(PACU)discharge time],sedation effect(Ramsay Sedation Scale),and postoperative pain visual analog scale were comparatively analyzed before anesthesia(T0),during anesthesia(T1),and after anesthesia(T2).RESULTS At T1,the research group showed significantly smaller changes in HR,RR,MAP,and SpO_(2) than the control group,with a significantly lower adverse reaction rate and shorter induction,anesthesia recovery,and PACU discharge times.Additionally,the intra-and postoperative Ramsay Sedation Scale scores were statistically higher in the research group than in the control group.CONCLUSION Remimazolam besylate was significantly more effective than DEX in gastrointestinal surgery in obese patients and had a higher safety profile and value in clinical promotion.

BACKGROUND Chronic renal failure(CRF) patients are predisposed to arrhythmias, while the detailed mechanisms are unclear. We hypothesized the chronic inflammatory state of CRF patients may lead to cardiac sympathetic remodeling, increasing the incidence of ventricular arrhythmia(VA) and sudden cardiac death. And explored the role of atorvastatin and etanercept in this process.METHODS A total of 48 rats were randomly divided into sham operation group(Sham group), CRF group, CRF + atorvastatin group(CRF + statin group), and CRF + etanercept group(CRF + rhTNFR-Fcgroup). Sympathetic nerve remodeling was assessed by immunofluorescence of growth-associated protein 43(GAP-43) and tyrosine hydroxylase positive area fraction. Electrophysiological testing was performed to assess the incidence of VA by assessing the ventricular effective refractory period and ventricular fibrillation threshold. The levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α) and interleukin-1beta were determined by Western blotting and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS Echocardiogram showed that compared with the Sham group, left ventricular end-systolic diameter and ventricular weight/body weight ratio were significantly higher in the CRF group. Hematoxylin-eosin and Masson staining indicated that myocardial fibers were broken, disordered, and fibrotic in the CRF group. Western blotting, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,immunofluorescence and electrophysiological examination suggested that compared with the Sham group, GAP-43 and TNF-α proteins were significantly upregulated, GAP-43 and tyrosine hydroxylase positive nerve fiber area was increased, and ventricular fibrillation threshold was significantly decreased in the CRF group. The above effects were inhibited in the CRF + statin group and the CRF + rhTNFR-Fcgroup.CONCLUSIONS In CRF rats, TNF-α was upregulated, cardiac sympathetic remodeling was more severe, and the nephrogenic cardiac sympathetic remodeling existed. Despite the challenges that remain,the synergistic adjustment of various microstructures and photochemical parameters of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))in photocatalytic reactions holds promises for improving catalytic efficiency and reducing energy consumption.Herein,sulfur-doped and nitrogen-defective g-C_(3)N_(4)(n-SC_(3)N_(x))nanosheets were designed and elaborately synthesized.The resultant n-SC_(3)N_(x)possessed a precisely defined 2D layer structure with extensive porosity and incremental specific surface area.Enhanced photoinduced electron transfer-reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(PET-RAFT)polymerization of vinyl monomers with low dispersity,excellent temporal control and high chain-end fidelity was achieved under mild blue light irradiation in a nondegassed system.Owing to their ultrathin nanostructures with nitrogen defects and sulfur dopants,n-SC_(3)N_(x)was capable of catalyzing RAFT polymerization in aqueous solutions at significantly accelerated rates,which were nearly 8 times faster compared to bulk g-C_(3)N_(4).The ease of separation and efficient reusability in subsequent polymerizations was enabled by the heterogeneous nature of n-SC_(3)N_(x).The appeal of this approach was illustrated by the fact that utilizing a reusable and metal-free photocatalyst in aqueous environments allowed for the synthesis of polymers with molecular weight up to 300 kg mol-1and a dispersity of 1.32.

Changes in trace substances in human metabolites, which are related to disease processes and health status, can serve as chemical markers for disease diagnosis and symptom monitoring. Real-time online detection is an inevitable trend for the future of health monitoring, and the construction of chips for detection faces major challenges. The response of sensors often fails to meet the requirements for chipbased detection of trace substances due to the low efficiency of interfacial heterogeneous reactions, necessitating a rational design approach for micro-and nano-structures to improve sensor performance with respect to sensitivity and detection limits. This review focuses on the influence of micro-and nanostructures that used in chip on sensing. Firstly, this review categorizes sensors into chemiresistors, electrochemical sensors, fluorescence sensors, and surface enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) sensors based on their sensing principle, which have significant applications in disease diagnosis. Subsequently, commencing from the application requirements in the field of sensing, this review focuses on the different structures of nanoparticle(NP) assemblies, including wire, layered, core-shell, hollow, concave and deformable structures. These structures change in the size, shape, and morphology of conventional structures to achieve characteristics such as ordered alignment, high specific surface area, space limitation,vertical diffusion, and swaying behavior with fluid, thereby addressing issues such as poor signal transmission efficiency, inadequate adsorption and capture capacity, and slow mass transfer speed during sensing. Finally, the design direction of micro-and nano-structures, and possible obstacles and solutions to promote chip-based detection have been discussed. It is hope that this article will inspire the exploration of interface micro-and nano-structures modulated sensing methods.

BACKGROUND Purpureocillium lilacinum(P.lilacinum)is a saprophytic fungus widespread in soil and vegetation.As a causative agent,it is very rarely detected in humans,most commonly in the skin.CASE SUMMARY In this article,we reported the case of a 72-year-old patient with chronic lymphocytic leukemia who was admitted with cough and fever.Computed tomography revealed an infection in the right lower lobe.Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid culture and metagenomic next-generation sequencing were ultimately confirmed to have a pulmonary infection with P.lilacinum.She was eventually discharged with good outcomes after treatment with isavuconazole.CONCLUSION Pulmonary infection with P.lilacinum was exceedingly rare.While currently there are no definitive therapeutic agents,there are reports of high resistance to amphotericin B and fluconazole and good sensitivity to second-generation triazoles.The present report is the first known use of isavuconazole for pulmonary P.lilacinum infection.It provides new evidence for the characterization and treatment of clinical P.lilacinum lung infections.

Hexagonal boron nitride based slippery liquid infused porous surface with anti-corrosion, anti-contaminant and anti-icing properties for protecting magnesium alloy

In an era where the concept of green development is deeply rooted, magnesium(Mg) alloy as a light metal has a long-term development prospect in the process of energy saving, emission reduction and environmental improvement. However, anti-corrosion performance of Mg alloy is poor due to the high chemical activity and low equilibrium potential, which limits the development of Mg alloy products.Herein, three-dimensional mesopore hollow polypyrrole spheres(MHPS) were prepared, and the MHPS was inserted into the middle of the stacked hexagon boron nitride(h-BN) lamellae, which allowed the hBN to be separated forming a further composite with abundant pore structure. Subsequently, the MHPS/hBN-OH composite was uniformly sprayed on the Mg alloy surface via simple spraying method to form the superhydrophobic surface(SHS). Finally, the slippery liquid infused porous surface(SLIPS) was successfully fabricated by applying drops of silicone lubricant on the superhydrophobic coating surface. After a series of characterization and testing, the results showed that the stacking of h-BN lamellae was significantly reduced after h-BN was successfully embedded by MHPS. In addition, the fabricated SLIPS have excellent self-cleaning, mechanical stability, anti-icing and anti-corrosion properties. Therefore, the method of embedding polymer microspheres not only offers a new strategy for h-BN exfoliation, but also the successful prepared SLIPS largely retards the corrosion of Mg alloy while providing new ideas for the development of SLIPS.

Improved remote sensing image target detection based on YOLOv7

Remote sensing images are taken at high altitude from above,with complex spatial scenes of images and a large number of target types.The detection of image targets on large scale remote sensing images suffers from the problem of small target size and target density.This paper proposes an improved model for remote sensing image detection based on you only look once version 7(YOLOv7).First,the small-scale detection layer is added to reacquire tracking frames to improve the network’s recognition ability of small-scale targets,and then Bottleneck Transformers are fused in the backbone to make full use of the convolutional neural network(CNN)+Transformer architecture to enhance the feature extraction ability of the network.After that,the convolutional block attention module(CBAM)mechanism is added in the head to improve the model’s ability of small-scale target.Finally,the non-maximum suppressed(NMS)of YOLOv7 algorithm is changed to distance intersection over union-non maximum suppression(DIOU-NMS)to improve the detection ability of overlapping targets in the network.The results show that the method in this paper can improve the detection rate of small-scale targets in remote sensing images and effectively solve the problem of high overlap and is tested on the NWPU-VHR10 and DOTA1.0 datasets,and the accuracy of the improved model is improved by 6.3%and 4.2%,respectively,compared with the standard YOLOv7 algorithm.

In this paper, the problem of time-varying aerodynamic parameters identification under measurement noises is studied. By analyzing the key aerodynamic parameters that affect the aircraft control system, a system model with extended states for identifying equivalent aerodynamic parameters is established, and error parameters are extended to the system state, avoiding the difficulty caused by the unknown dynamic in the system. Furthermore, an identification algorithm based on extended state Kalman filter is designed, and it is proved that the algorithm has quasi-consistency, thus, the estimation error can be evaluated in real time. Finally, the simulation results under typical flight scenarios show that the designed algorithm can accurately identify aerodynamic parameters, and has desired convergence speed and convergence precision.
