Recalescence Behavior, Solidification Characteristics and Microstructure Transformation of Rapidly Solidified Undercooled Cu-based Alloys

The undercooled solidification microstructures of Cu55Ni45,Cu55Ni43Co2,and Cu60Ni38Co2 Cu-base alloys were obtained by fluxing *** infrared temperature measuring device,the law of the change of the recalescence degree with the increase of the undercooling during rapid solidification was *** the same time,high-speed camera was used to capture and photograph the images of solid/liquid interface migration during rapid solidification of undercooled melt,and the morphology evolution of solidification front was ***,the microstructure morphology and transformation process of the Cubased alloys were systematically *** is found that the microstructure morphology of the alloys goes through the same evolution process and appeared two grain refinement phenomena,that is,“coarse dendrite-equiaxed grain-oriented fine dendrite-equiaxed grain”.But its characteristics undercoolingΔT_(1),ΔT_(2),and critical undercoolingΔT^(*)*** backscatter diffraction(eBSD)and transmission electron microscopy(TeM)were used to characterize the grain refinement structure with high *** results show that the grain refinement structure with high undercooling presents a very high proportion of high angle grain boundaries,the grain orientation is random and there is no high strength texture,and a large number of annealing twins,which indicates that recrystallization occurs in the *** results show that dislocation network and stacking fault density are relatively low in most areas of grain refinement structure with high undercooling,which can confirm the theory that stress induces recrystallization of the structure.

A bionic fish cilia median-low frequency three-dimensional MeMS vector hydrophone is reported in this paper. The piezoresistive reasonable position was obtained through finite element analysis by ANSYS and the structure was formed by MeMS processes including lithography, ion implantation, PeCVD and etching,etc. The standing wave barrel results show that the lowest sensitivity of the hydrophone is-200 d B and reach up to-160 d B(in which the voltage amplification factor is 300). It has a good frequency response characteristics in 25 Hz ～ 1500 Hz band. Directivity tests displayed that the hydrophone has a good "8"-shaped directivity,in which the resolution is not less than 30 d B, and asymmetry of the maximum axial sensitivity value is less than 1.2 d B.

An autotrophic nitrogen removal process:Short-cut nitrification combined with ANAMMOX for treating diluted effluent from an UASB reactor fed by landfill leachate

A combined process consisting of a short-cut nitrification （SN） reactor and an anaerobic ammonium oxidation upflow anaerobic sludge bed （ANAMMOX） reactor was developed to treat the diluted effluent from an upflow anaerobic sludge bed （UASB） reactor treating high ammonium municipal landfill *** SN process was performed in an aerated upflow sludge bed （AUSB） reactor （working volume 3.05 L）,treating about 50% of the diluted raw *** ammonium removal efficiency and the ratio of NO 2 N to NOx-N in the effluent were both higher than 80%,at a maximum nitrogen loading rate of 1.47 kg/（m 3 ·day）.The ANAMMOX process was performed in an UASB reactor （working volume 8.5 L）,using the mix of SN reactor effluent and diluted raw wastewater at a ratio of 1：*** ammonium and nitrite removal efficiency reached over 93% and 95%,respectively,after 70-day continuous operation,at a maximum total nitrogen loading rate of 0.91 kg/（m 3 ·day）,suggesting a successful operation of the combined *** average nitrogen loading rate of the combined system was 0.56 kg/（m 3 ·day）,with an average total inorganic nitrogen removal efficiency 87%.The nitrogen in the effluent was mostly *** results provided important evidence for the possibility of applying SN-ANAMMOX after UASB reactor to treat municipal landfill leachate.

Influence of soil microorganisms and physicochemical properties on plant diversity in an arid desert of Western China

Soil microorganisms and physicochemical properties are considered the two most influencing factors for maintaining plant ***,the operational mechanisms and which factor is the most influential manipulator remain poorly *** this study,we examine the collaborative influences of soil physicochemical properties(i.e.,soil water,soil organic matter(SOM),salinity,total phosphorus and nitrogen,pH,soil bulk density and fine root biomass)and soil microorganisms(fungi and bacteria)on plant diversity across two types of tree patches dominated by big and small trees(big trees:height≥7 m and DBH≥60 cm;small trees:height≤4.5 m and DBH≤20 cm)in an arid desert *** patch is consists of a single tree or group of trees and their accompanying shrubs and *** was hypothesized that soil physicochemical properties and microorganisms affect plant diversity but their influence *** results show that plant and soil microbial diversity increased with increasing distances from big ***,salinity,fine root biomass,soil water,total phosphorus and total nitrogen contents decreased with increasing distance from big trees,while pH and soil bulk density did not *** and soil microbial diversity were higher in areas close to big trees compared with small trees,whereas soil physicochemical properties were *** average contribution of soil physicochemical properties(12.2%-13.5%)to plant diversity was higher than microbial diversity(4.8%-6.7%).Salinity had the largest negative affect on plant diversity(24.7%-27.4%).This study suggests that soil fungi constrain plant diversity while bacteria improve it in tree *** physicochemical properties are the most important factor modulating plant diversity in arid desert tree patches.

Disinfection byproducts in drinking water and regulatory compliance： A critical review

Disinfection by-products （DBPs） are regulated in drinking water in a number of countries. This critical review focuses on the issues associated with DBP regulatory compliance, including methods for DBP analysis, occurrence levels, the regulation comparison among various countries, DBP compliance strategies, and emerging DBPs. The regulation comparison between China and the United States （US） indicated that the DBP regulations in China are more stringent based on the number of regulated compounds and maximum levels. The comparison assessment using the Information Collection Rule （ICR） database indicated that the compliance rate of 500 large US water plants under the China regulations is much lower than that under the US regulations （e.g. 62.2% versus 89.6% for total trihalomethanes）. Precursor removal and alternative disinfectants are common practices for DBP regulatory compliance. DBP removal after formation, including air stripping for trihalomethane removal and biodegradation for haloacetic acid removal, have gained more acceptance in DBP control. Formation of emerging DBPs, including iodinated DBPs and nitrogenous DBPs, is one of unintended consequences of precursor removal and alternative disinfection. At much lower levels than carbonaceous DBPs, however, emerging DBPs have posed higher health risks.

Bcl-2 Interacts with Beclin 1 and Regulates Autophagy in 7,12- Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene-Induced Hamster Buccal-Pouch Squamous-Cell Tumorigenesis

Objective:Autophagy is a programmed cell death procedure,which has essential functions in ***,its temporal expression and function under different status are yet to be *** study aims to investigate the temporal expression of autophagy and its possible function in 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene(DMBA)-induced hamster buccal-pouch cancer model(HBPCM).Methods:A total of 50 hamster buccal-pouch tumorigenesis models were established by painting DMBA for 4,8,10 and 13 *** expression and subcellular localization of LC3,Beclin 1 and Bcl-2 in buccal lesions were evaluated by immunohistochemical staining and Western *** damage was observed by immunohistochemical staining of *** relationship between Beclin 1 and Bcl-2 was analyzed by immunofluorescence ***:The expression levels of LC3 and Beclin 1 associated with autophagy in the experimental buccal pouch of HBPCM were significantly upregulated after 4 weeks(Pegulated after 13 weeks of HBPCM *** contrast,the expression level of Bcl-2 was significantly upregulated after 13 *** co-localized regions of Bcl-2 and Beclin 1 peaked after 4 weeks and then decreased *** DNA damage in epithelial cells increased slightly after 4 weeks,and then rapidly decreased over the next 2 ***:Autophagy is motivated by a tumor suppressor that diminishes carcinogen-induced DNA ***,autophagy is gradually suppressed,which may be attributed to the interaction between Bcl-2 and Beclin *** result indicates that the promotion of autophagy may suppress malignant transformation and provide new insights on future potential treatments of HBPCM.
