冻融作用可以改变土的结构,引起其力学特征的变化,从而影响到冻土工程的稳定性。由于冻融周期的设定不尽相同,因此大量的试验结果不能有效地进行对比分析。另外,对于冻融作用下土体力学特征的预测也成为研究的难点。在冻土遗传蠕变理论的基础上,利用球型模板压入仪作为测试方法,提出了一种冻融次数-物理时间比拟的方法。把冻融周期(次数)转化成物理时间(min),将不同冻融周期土的长期强度曲线簇映射到同一坐标中,利用该归一化曲线进行长期抗剪强度的预测,并选取了两种土样进行了测试,分别得到了相关的长期抗剪强度的预测方程。该方法对冻融作用下土体力学行为的成果对比研究以及长期强度的预测有重要的理论意义,对寒区工程稳定性预测分析也具有工程实践价值。

Oesophageal ulcers occur mainly as a result of gastrooesophageal reflux disease （GERD）. However, pillinduced oesophageal ulcers are a fairly common event. The lesion is mainly due to entrapment of the pill and/ or its chemical composition thereof. This case report describes an oesophageal mucosa ulcer occurred in a healthy 35-year old woman who had no previous history of oesophageal disorders and received homeopathic medication. The present case reveals that pill entrapment can occur even in the oesophagus of healthy young individuals and that oesophageal mucosal ulcer can be triggered by substances generally thought devoid of any potentially mucosal aggressive effect.

AIM To compare the outcomes of displaced distal radius fractures treated with volar locking plates and with immediate postoperative mobilisation with the outcomes of these fractures treated with modalities that necessitate 6 wk wrist *** A prospective, randomised controlled single-centre trial was conducted with 56 patients who had a displaced radius fracture were randomised to treatment either with a volar locking plate(n = 29), or another treatment modality(n = 27; cast immobilisation with or without wires or external fixator). Outcomes were measured at 12 wk. Functional outcome scores measured were the Patient-Rated Wrist Evaluation(PRWE) Score; Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand and activities of daily living(ADLs). Clinical outcomes were wrist range of motion and grip strength. Radiographic parameters were volar inclination and ulnar *** Patients in the volar locking plate group had significantly better PRWE scores, ADL scores, grip strength and range of extension at three months compared with the control group. All radiological parameters were significantly better in the volar locking plate group at 3 mo. CONCLUSION The present study suggests that volar locking plates produced significantly better functional and clinical outcomes at 3 mo compared with other treatment modalities. Anatomical reduction was significantly more likely to be preserved in the plating group. Level of evidence: Ⅱ.

Aim:Co-encapsulation of anti-cancer agents in pegylated liposomes may provide an effective tool to maximize efficacy of combined drug therapy by taking advantage of the long circulation time,passive targeting,and reduced toxicity of liposome ***:We have developed several liposome formulations of co-encapsulated drugs using various permutations of three active agents:doxorubicin(Dox),mitomycin-C lipidic prodrug(MLP),and alendronate(Ald).Dox and MLP are available in single drug liposomal formulations:pegylated liposomal Dox(PLD,Doxil®),clinically approved,and pegylated liposomal MLP(PL-MLP,Promitil®),in phase 1-2 clinical *** have previously shown that co-encapsulation of Dox and Ald in pegylated liposomes(PLAD)results in a formulation with valuable immuno-pharmacologic properties and superior antitumor properties over PLD in immunocompetent animal *** on the PLAD and PL-MLP platforms,we developed a new pegylated liposomal formulation of co-entrapped Dox and MLP(PLAD-MLP),with the former localized in the liposome water phase via remote loading with an ammonium alendronate and the latter passively loaded into the liposome lipid *** alternative formulation of co-entrapped MLP and Dox in which ammonium Ald was replaced with ammonium sulfate(PLD-MLP)was also tested for comparative ***: PLAD-MLP displays high loading efficiency of Dox and MLP nearing 100%, and a mean vesicle diameter of 110 nm. Cryo-transmission electron microscopy (cryo-TEM) of PLAD-MLP reveals round vesicles with an intra-vesicle Dox-alendronate precipitate. PLAD-MLP was tested in an in vitro MLP activation assay with the reducing agent dithiothreitol and found to be significantly less susceptible to thiolytic activation than PL-MLP. Alongside thiolytic activation of MLP, a significant fraction of encapsulated Dox was released from liposomes. Objective： Decompensated chronic hyperglycemia often leads to late microvascular complications such as retinopathy, diabetic foot syndrome, and diabetic kidney disease. The aim of this study was to determine the concentration of vascular endothelial growth factor A （VEGF-A） and its receptors in patients with well-controlled diabetes. Methods： The study was conducted on 31 patients with well-controlled type 2 diabetes without microor macroangiopathy. Thirty healthy volunteers were enrolled in a control group. Serum concentrations of VEGF-A, VEGF receptors 1 and 2 （VEGFR1 and VEGFR2）, fasting glucose, and lipid profiles were measured, and the plasma concentration of glycated hemoglobin （HbAlc） was determined. Results： No significant differences were observed between the concentration of VEGF-A, VEGFR1 or VEGFR2 in the subject group and that in the control group. Positive correlations were noted between the levels of VEGF-A, VEGFR2, and triglyceride, and there was a negative correlation between the levels of VEGFR2 and high-density lipoprotein （HDL）-cholesterel in the study group. Conclusions： The concentrations of VEGF-A and its receptors 1 and 2 in patients with well-controlled diabetes are comparable to those of healthy individuals, which may indicate that appropriate control of glucose levels delays the occurrence of vascular complications. A negative correlation between VEGFR2 and HDL-cholesterol levels, and positive correlations between VEGF-A, VEGFR2, and triglyceride levels, suggest that lipid abnormalities occurring in diabetes may be involved in the modulation of angiogenesis.

The aims of this work were 1) to evaluate the changes in soil properties with the application of different amounts of vermicompost (10 and 20 Mg?ha–1), and 2) to construct a soil quality index that allows the evaluation of changes in the most sensitive soil parameters. The study was carried out in a cattle field of General Alvear, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Vermicompost application showed a positive effect on most of the chemical and biological soil properties evaluated, especially with the higher dose (20 Mg?ha–1). There were slight but significant increases in electrical conductivity and soil pH with the higher dose of vermicompost. Physical soil properties were not affected by the vermicompost amendment. The SQI showed a significant increase of soil quality with the vermicompost dose of 20 Mg?ha–1, especially by enhancing the biochemical and biological properties.
