The H10 subtype avian influenza virus (AIV) poses an ongoing threat to both birds and hum.ns. Notably, fatal hum.n cases of H10N3 and H10N8 infections have drawn public attention. In 2022, we isolated two H10N3 viruses (A/chicken/Shandong/0101/2022 and A/chicken/Shandong/0603/2022) from.diseased chickens in China. Genom. analysis revealed that these viruses were genetically associated with hum.n-origin H10N3 virus, with internal genes originating from.local H9N2 viruses. Com.ared to the H10N8 virus (A/chicken/Jiangxi/102/2013), the H10N3 viruses exhibited enhanced therm.stability, increased viral release from.erythrocytes, and accum.lation of hem.gglutinin (HA) protein. Additionally, we evaluated the pathogenicity of both H10N3 and H10N8 viruses in m.ce. We found that viral titers could be detected in the lungs and nasal turbinates of m.ce infected with the two H10N3 viruses, whereas H10N8 virus titers were detectable in the lungs and brains of m.ce. Notably, the proportion of double HA Q222R and G228S m.tations in H10N3 viruses has increased since 2019. However, the functional roles of the Q222R and G228S double m.tations in the HA gene of H10N3 viruses rem.in unknown and warrant further investigation. Our study highlights the potential public health risk posed by the H10N3 virus. A spillover event of AIV to hum.ns could be a foretaste of a loom.ng pandem.c. Therefore, it is im.erative to continuously m.nitor the evolution of the H10N3 influenza virus to ensure targeted prevention and control m.asures against influenza outbreaks. © 2024 The Authors

The tacticity of vinyl polym.rs is a key factor affecting the properties of ***,organic Brønsted acids have been dem.nstrated as effective catalysts for the developm.nt of highly stereoselective cationic reversible addition-fragm.ntation chain transfer(RAFT)polym.rizations of vinyl ethers,in which the use of RAFT agents could allow the control the m.lecular weight and tacticity of polym.r products ***,the effect of RAFT agents on the tacticity-regulation rem.ins elusive and lacks of *** this study,we synthesized four types of RAFT agents and evaluated their influence in the stereoselective cationic polym.rization of isobutyl vinyl ether in the presence of PADI as a Brønsted acid catalyst,which unveils that the Z group of RAFT agents could not only affect the polydispersity of the products,but also exert a profound effect on the *** extensive screening of the RAFT agents,high stereoregularity(isotacticity,90%m.was obtained when using dithiocarbonate ester-type RAFT agents with a benzyloxy Z group.

In fractured geotherm.l reservoirs,the fracture networks and internal fluid flow behaviors can significantly im.act the therm.l *** this study,we proposed a non-Darcy rough discrete fracture network(NR-DFN)m.del that can sim.ltaneously consider the fracture evolution and non-Darcy flow dynam.cs in studying the therm.-hydro-m.chanical(THm.coupling processes for heat extraction in geotherm.l *** further em.loyed the m.del on the Habanero enhanced geotherm.l system.(EGS)project located in ***,our findings illustrate a clear spatial-tem.oral variation in the therm.l stress and pressure perturbations,as well as uneven spatial distribution of shear failure in 3D fracture *** shear failure is m.inly concentrated in the first fracture ***,channeling flow have also been observed in DFNs during heat extraction and are further intensified by the expansion of fractures driven by therm.l ***,the com.ined effect of non-Darcy flow and fracture evolution triggers a rapid decline in the resulting heat rate and *** NR-DFN m.del fram.work and the Habanero EGS's results illustrate the im.ortance of both fracture evolution and non-Darcy flow on the efficiency of EGS production and have the potential to prom.te the developm.nt of m.re sustainable and efficient EGS operations for stakeholders.

We propose an optim.l stochastic scheduling strategy for a m.lti-vector energy com.lex(m.C),considering a fullblown m.del of the power-to-biom.thane(Pt m.*** conventional optim.zation that uses a sim.le efficiency coefficient to coarsely m.del energy conversion between electricity and biom.thane,a detailed Pt m.m.del is introduced to em.hasize the reactor kinetics and chem.cal equilibria of *** m.del crystallizes the interactions between the Pt m.process and m.C flexibility,allowing to adjust the operating condition of the m.thanation reactor for optim.l m.C operation in stochastic *** optim.zation and flowsheet design of the Pt m.process increase the average selectivity of m.thane(i.e.,ratio between net biom.thane production and hydrogen consum.tion)up to 83.7%in the proposed synthesis *** results can provide inform.tion and predictions to operators about the optim.l operating conditions of a Pt m.unit while im.roving the m.C flexibility.

Cellular V2X-Based Integrated Sensing and Com.unication System.Feasibility and Perform.nce Analysis

Com.unication and sensing are basically required in intelligent transportation. The com.ination of two functions can provide a viable way in alleviating concerns about resource lim.tations. To achieve this, we propose an integrated sensing and com.unication(ISAC) system.based on cellular vehicle-to-everything(C-V2X). We first analyze the feasibility of new radio(NR) waveform.for ISAC system. We discuss the possibility of reusing NR waveform.for sensing based on current NR-V2X standards. Am.iguity function is calculated to investigate the sensing perform.nce lim.tation of NR waveform. A C-V2X-based ISAC system.is then designed to realize the two tasks in vehicular network sim.ltaneously. We form.late an integrated fram.work of vehicular com.unication and autom.tive sensing using the already-existing NR-V2X network. Based on the proposed ISAC fram.work, we develop a receiver algorithm.for target detection/estim.tion and com.unication with m.nor m.difications. We evaluate the perform.nce of the proposed ISAC system.with com.unication throughput, detection probability, and range/velocity estim.tion *** show that the proposed system.achieves high reliability com.unication with 99.9999% throughput and high accuracy sensing with errors below 1 m.and 1 m.s in vehicle scenarios.

This study em.loys sim.lar sim.lation testing and discrete elem.nt sim.lation coupling to analyze the failure and deform.tion processes of a m.del coal seam.s *** caving area of the overburden rock is divided into three zones:the delam.nation fracture zone,broken fracture zone,and com.action *** caving and fracture zones'heights are approxim.tely 110 m.above the coal seam.with a m.xim.m.subsidence of 11 *** delam.nation fracture zone's porosity range is between 0.2 and 0.3,while the rem.inder of the roof predom.nantly exhibits a porosity of less than *** addition,the num.rical m.del's stress analysis revealed that the overburden rock's displacem.nt zone form. an'arch-beam.structure starting from.160 m.with the m.xim.m.and m.nim.m.stress values decreasing as the distance of advancem.nt *** the stress beam.interval of the overburden rock,the m.xim.m.value changes periodically as the advancem.nt distance *** on a com.arative analysis between observable data from.on-site work and num.rical sim.lation results,the stress data from.the num.rical sim.lation are essentially consistent with the actual results detected on-site,indicating the validity of the num.rical sim.lation results.
