Objective:To investigate whether atractylenolide Ⅰ(ATL-Ⅰ) has protective effect on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC) in vivo and in vitro,and explore whether NF-κB signaling pathway is involved in ATL-Ⅰ ***:New Zealand white rabbits were injected with LPS through marginal ear vein over a period of 6h at a rate of 600 μg/kg(10 mL/h).Similarly,in the treatment groups,1.0,2.0,or 5.0 mg/kg ATL-Ⅰ were *** survival rate and organ function were tested,including the level of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),blood urine nitrogen(BUN),and TNF-α were examined by *** haemostatic and fibrinolytic parameters in serum were *** 264.7 macrophage cells were administered with control,LPS,LPS + ATL-Ⅰ and ATL-Ⅰ alone,and TNF-α,phosphorylation(P)-IκBα,phosphorylation(P)-NF-κB(P65) and NF-κB(P65) were determined by Western ***:The administration of LPS resulted in 73.3%mortality rate,and the increase of serum TNF-α,BUN and ALT *** ATL-Ⅰ treatment significantly increased the survival rate of LPS-induced DIC model,also improved the function of blood *** protein analysis indicated that ATL-Ⅰ remarkably protected liver and renal as decreasing TNF-α *** vitro,ATL-Ⅰ obviously decreased LPS-induced TNF-αproduction and the expression of P-NF-κB(P65),with the decrease of P-IκBα.Conclusions:ATL-Ⅰ has protective effect on LPS-induced DIC,which can elevate the survival rate,reduce organ damage,improve the function of blood coagulation and suppress TNF-α expression by inhibiting the activation of NF-κB signaling pathway.

Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect and mechanism of myricctin on disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC). Methods: The DIC model was established by injection of60 mg/kg LPS in KM mice, and the treatment groups were injected myricetin with different concentrations(25 or 50 mg/kg) 30 min before the model was established. Both coagulation indicators and organ function were tested, including PT, APTT, fibrinogen. AST, ALT. BUN and tissue section. In vitro, the inflammatory model of RAW 264.7 macrophage cells were established by 10 μg/mL LPS. The treatment group was treated with 50 μmol/mL myricetin for 30 min before LPS, and the expression of TNF-a and p-NF-KB was detected, further to explore the therapeutic mechanism. Results: LPS-induced DIC led to a reduction of fibrinogen and a rise of PT, APTT,AST, ALT, BUN levels, but the treatment of myricctin significantly inhibited these abnormalities. Histopathology analysis also revealed that myricetin remarkably protected the liver and renal damage. In vitro, the expression of TNF-α and p-NF-κB induced by LPS was repressed by myricetin. Conclusions: This study provides new insights into the protective effects of myricetin in LPS-induced DIC by anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory via suppressing the activation of p-NF-κB which decreased TNF-α level.

Efficacy,safety,and dose comparison of degarelix for the treatment of prostate cancer:A systematic review and meta-analysis

AIM:To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis into the efficacy,safety,and dosage regimens of degarelix for treating prostate cancer(PCa). METHODS:Pub Med,EMBASE,the Cochrane Library,and Web of Science was systematically searched to identify randomized controlled trials(RCTs) comparing degarelix(240/80 mg vs 240/160 mg) to the gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists,goserelin and leuprolide,for the treatment of PCa. Two independent reviewers screened putative studies,assessed the risk of bias,and then extracted pertinent data. Analyses were performed using Review Manager 5.2. RESULTS:Seven papers from six RCTs,involving 1204 patients,were identified. The present meta-analysis showed that treatment with 240/160 mg degarelix is more effective and has fewer adverse events(AEs) relative to conventional 240/80 mg regimen. Degarelix significantly decreased International Prostate Symptom Scores [standardized mean differences(SMD) =-0.32,95%CI:-0.51 to-0.12,P = 0.02] and caused fewer AEs(SMD =-0.28,95%CI:-0.48 to-0.07,P = 0.008) than goserelin. Degarelix suppressed testosterone and prostate-specific antigen significantly faster than leuprolide. CONCLUSION:Degarelix is a useful option in the treatment of advanced PCa. Degarelix 240/160 mgregimen was superior to a 240/80 mg regimen. More rigorously designed RCTs are urgently needed to confirm the efficacy of degarelix.

Background： Halo nevus （HN） has been shown to be associated with vitiligo, but no standard signs are currently available to identify HN patients at risk of vitiligo, and the relevant data obtained in previous studies are somewhat conflicting. This study aimed to identify factors affecting the presence of vitiligo in HN patients. Methods： We performed a retrospective study on consecutive patients with HN at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University between January 2011 and December 2016. Detailed demographic and clinical data were collected to identify the factors associated with the presence ofvitiligo in this cohort of patients using uni- and multi-variate logistic regression analyses. Results： A total of 212 HN patients were included, 101 of whom had vitiligo-associated HN （HNV）. Univariate analysis indicated that a personal history of thyroid diseases was positively associated with HNV （odds ratio [OR] 10.761, P = 0,025）, while the onset age of HN was negatively associated with HNV （OR =0.537, P= 0.026）. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that the Koebner phenomenon （KP： OR = 10.632, P 〈 0.0001）, multiple HN （OR = 3.918, P 〈 0.0001）, and a familial history of vitiligo （OR = 3.222, P= 0.014） were independent factors associated with HNV. Conclusions： HN without vitiligo has clinical features distinct from HN associated with vitiligo. HN patients with KR multiple lesions, or familial history ofvitiligo are more likely to develop vitiligo and theretbre should be monitored for clinical signs of such accompanied conditions.

Superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant siloxane-modified MgAl-LDHs coatings on magnesium alloy prepared under mild conditions

We have developed a superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant LDH-W/PFDTMS composite coating on the surface of Mg *** composite comprised a tungstate-intercalated(LDH-W)underlayer that was grown at low temperature(relative to hydrothermal reaction conditions)under atmospheric pressure and an outer polysiloxane layer created from a solution containing perfluorodecyltrimethoxysilane(PFDTMS)using a simple immersion *** successful intercalation of tungstate into the LDH phase and the following formation of the polysiloxane layer were confirmed through X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The corrosion resistance of the LDH-W film,both before and after the PFDTMS modification,was evaluated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),Tafel curves,and immersion *** results showed that Mg coated with LDH-W/PFDTMS exhibited significantly enhanced corrosion protection compared to the unmodified LDHW film,with no apparent signs of corrosion after exposure to 3.5wt%NaCl solution for 15 ***,the LDH-W/PFDTMS coating demonstrated superior superhydrophobicity and self-cleaning properties against water and several common beverages,as confirmed by static contact angle and water-repellency *** results offer valuable insights into preparing superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant LDH-based composite coatings on Mg alloy surfaces under relatively mild reaction conditions.

For space-based gravitational wave （GW） detection,the main noise source for massive black hole binaries （MBHBs） is attributed to approximately 10～7double white dwarf binaries in the *** a GW source,the amplitude of the detector response,recorded by a space-based gravitational wave detector,exhibits a modulation effect with a year period when observing the source from various orbital *** the adverse conditions mentioned above,where there is a strong foreground noise and annual modulation in the signals,we employed the wavelet transform and the strong-amplitude relevant orbital position search methods,which allows the weak MBHB sources to achieve higher locating *** detail,for two MBHB sources of lower intensity,the precision of luminosity distance,represented by the ratio ?DL/DLat the 95%confidence level,is enhanced by factors of ～*** angular resolutions,denoted by??s,are enhanced by a factor of ～*** improvements increase the number of detectable GW sources,facilitate multi-messenger follow-up observations and provide constraints on the cosmological constant.

Combined hepatocellular cholangiocarcinoma(CHC) accounts for 0.4%-14.2% of primary liver cancer cases and possesses pathological features of both hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma. Since this disease was first described and classified in 1949, the classification of CHC has continuously evolved. The latest definition and classification of CHC by the World Health Organization is based on the speculation that CHC arises from hepatic progenitor cells. However, there is no evidence demonstrating the common origin of different components of CHC. Furthermore, the definition of CHC subtypes is still ambiguous and the identification of CHC subtype when a single tumor contains many components has remained unresolved. In addition, there is no summary on the newly recognized histopathology features or the contribution of CHC components to prognosis and outcome of this disease. Here we provide a review of the current literature to address these questions.

Niobates are promising all-climate Li^(+)-storage anode material due to their fast charge transport,large specific capacities,and resistance to electrolyte ***,their moderate unit-cellvolume expansion(generally 5%–10%)during Li^(+)storage causes unsatisfactory long-term ***,“zero-strain”NiNb_(2)O_(6) fibers are explored as a new anode material with comprehensively good electrochemical *** Li^(+)storage,the expansion of electrochemical inactive NiO_(6) octahedra almost fully offsets the shrinkage of active NbO_(6) octahedra through reversible O *** superior volume-accommodation capability of the NiO_(6) layers guarantees the“zero-strain”behavior of NiNb_(2)O_(6) in a broad temperature range(0.53%//0.51%//0.74%at 25//−10//60℃),leading to the excellent cyclability of the NiNb_(2)O_(6) fibers(92.8%//99.2%//91.1%capacity retention after 1000//2000//1000 cycles at 10C and 25//−10//60℃).This NiNb_(2)O_(6) material further exhibits a large reversible capacity(300//184//318 mAh g−1 at 0.1C and 25//−10//60℃)and outstanding rate performance(10 to 0.5C capacity percentage of 64.3%//50.0%//65.4%at 25//−10//60℃).Therefore,the NiNb_(2)O_(6) fibers are especially suitable for large-capacity,fast-charging,long-life,and all-climate lithium-ion batteries.

Transition metal-based nanomaterials have emerged as promising electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction（OER）. Considerable research efforts have shown that self-reconstruction occurs on these nanomaterials under operating conditions of OER process. However, most of them undergo incomplete reconstruction with limited thickness of reconstruction layer, leading to low component utilization and arduous exploration of real catalytic mechanism. Herein, we identify the dynamic behaviors in complete reconstruction of Co-based complexes during OER. The hollow phytic acid（PA） cross-linked CoFe-based complex nanoboxes with porous nanowalls are designed because of their good electrolyte penetration and mass transport ability, in favor of the fast and complete reconstruction. A series of experiment characterizations demonstrate that the reconstruction process includes the fast substitution of PA by OH-to form Co（Fe）(OH)xand subsequent potential-driven oxidation to Co（Fe）OOH. The obtained CoFeOOH delivers a low overpotential of 290 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2and a long-term *** experiment results together with theory calculations reveal that the Fe incorporation can result in the electron rearrangement of reconstructed CoFeOOH and optimization of their electronic structure,accounting for the enhanced OER activity. The work provides new insights into complete reconstruction of metal-based complexes during OER and offers guidelines for rational design of high-performance electrocatalysts.
