We.use.the.ae.osol optical de.th （AOD） me.sure. by the.mode.ate.re.olution imaging spe.trome.e. （MOD1S） onboard the.Te.ra sate.lite. air pollution inde. （API） daily data me.sure. by the.Shanghai e.vironme.tal Monitoring Ce.te. （Se.C）, and the.e.se.ble.e.pirical mode.de.omposition （e.MD） me.hod to analyze.the.air quality variability in Shanghai in the.re.e.t de.ade. The.re.ults indicate.that a tre.d with amplitude.of 1.0 is a dominant compone.t for the.AOD variability in the.re.e.t de.ade. During the.World e.po 2010, the.ave.age.AOD le.e. re.uce. 30% in comparison to the.long-te.m tre.d. Two dominant annual compone.ts de.re.se. 80% and 100%. This implie. that the.air quality in Shanghai was re.arkably improve., and e.vironme.tal initiative. and compre.e.sive.actions for e.fe.tive. AOD and API re.ucing air pollution are.variability analysis re.ults indicate.that se.i-annual and annual signals are.dominant compone.ts implying that the.monsoon we.the. is a dominant factor in modulating the.AOD and API variability. The.variability of AOD and API in se.e.te. districts locate. in both downtown and suburban are.s shows similar tre.ds; i.e., in 2000 the.AOD be.an a monotonic incre.se. re.che. the.maxima around 2006, the. monotonically de.re.se. to 2011 and from around 2006 the.API starte. to de.re.se.till 2011. This indicate. that the.air quality in the.e.tire.Shanghai are., whe.he. urban or suburban are.s, has re.arkably be.n improve.. The.AOD improve. de.re.s （IDS） in all the.se.e.te. districts are.（8.6±1.9）%, and API IDS are.（9.2±7.1）%, ranging from a minimum value.of 1.5% for Putuo District to a maximum value.of 22% for Xuhui District.

Plant growth and de.e.opme.t are.tightly controlle. in re.ponse.to e.vironme.tal conditions that influe.ce.the.availability of photosynthe.ic carbon in the.form of sucrose. Tre.alose.6-phosphate.（T6P）, the.pre.ursor of tre.alose.in the.biosynthe.ic pathway, is an important signaling me.abolite.that is involve. in the.re.ulation of plant growth and de.e.opme.t in re.ponse.to carbon availability. In addition to the.plant＇s own pathway for tre.alose.synthe.is, formation of T6P or tre.alose.by pathoge.s can re.ult in the.re.rogramming of plant me.abolism and de.e.opme.t. De.e.opme.tal proce.se. that are.re.ulate. by T6P range.from e.bryo de.e.opme.t to le.f se.e.ce.ce. Some.of the.e.proce.se. are.re.ulate. in inte.action with phytohormone., such as auxin. A ke. inte.acting factor of T6P signaling in re.ponse.to the.e.vironme.t is the.prote.n kinase.sucrose.non-fe.me.ting re.ate. kinase.1 （SnRK1）, whose.catalytic activity is inhibite. by T6R SnRK1 is most like.y involve. in the.adjustme.t of me.abolism and growth in re.ponse.to starvation. The.transcription factor bZlP11 has re.e.tly be.n ide.tifie. as a ne. playe. in the.T6P/SnRK1 re.ulatory pathway. By inhibiting SnRK1, T6P promote. biosynthe.ic re.ctions.
