Identifying malicious traffic under concept drift based on intraclass consistency enhanced variational autoencoder

Accurate identification of malicious traffic is crucial for implementing effective defense countermeasures and has led to extensive research efforts. However, the continuously evolving techniques employed by adversaries have introduced the issues of concept drift, which significantly affects the performance of existing methods. To tackle this challenge, some researchers have focused on improving the separability of malicious traffic representation and designing drift detectors to reduce the number of false ***, these methods often overlook the importance of enhancing the generalization and intraclass consistency in the representation. Additionally, the detectors are not sufficiently sensitive to the variations among different malicious traffic classes, which results in poor performance and limited robustness. In this paper, we propose intraclass consistency enhanced variational autoencoder with Class-Perception detector(ICE-CP) to identify malicious traffic under concept drift. It comprises two key modules during training:intraclass consistency enhanced(ICE) representation learning and Class-Perception(CP) detector construction. In the first module, we employ a variational autoencoder(VAE) in conjunction with Kullback-Leibler(KL)-divergence and cross-entropy loss to model the distribution of each input malicious traffic flow. This approach simultaneously enhances the generalization, interclass consistency, and intraclass differences in the learned representation. Consequently, we obtain a compact representation and a trained classifier for nondrifting malicious traffic. In the second module, we design the CP detector, which generates a centroid and threshold for each malicious traffic class separately based on the learned representation, depicting the boundaries between drifting and non-drifting malicious traffic. lidocaine hydrochloride(liDH) as an anesthetic is widely used in local anesthesia. Dissolving microneedles(MNs) have great application value in the field of skin anesthesia. However, the limited drug-loading of dissolving MNs is an existing challenge that affects clinical use. In this study, we have screened isomaltulose(ISO) as the proper matrix material for the MNs by using molecular dynamics(MD) simulation. Our findings indicate that ISO has good compatibility with liDH, and the liDH-loaded ISO MNs(li-MNs) have high drug-loading capacity. The drug-loading capacity of li-MNs could reach 80%, and it could effectively puncture the skin. In addition, the preparation method of customized li-MNs was established based on three-dimensional(3D) printing technology. It was shown that the administration time of li-MNs could be controlled within 3 min. Also, the li-MNs were able to provide the local anesthetic efficacy within2 min and sustained for more than 2 h. Significantly, li-MNs had more efficient drug efficacy compared to the topical creams and the majority of existing liDH-loaded dissolving MNs. They even provided a longer duration of action than the injections. Overall, the li-MNs with high drug-loading have a promising application prospect.

Streptococcus suis serotype 2(*** 2)is a zoonotic pathogen that clinically causes severe swine and human infections(such as meningitis,endocarditis,and septicemia).In order to cause widespread diseases in different organs,*** 2 must colonize the host,break the blood barrier,and cause exaggerated *** the last few years,most studies have focused on a single virulence factor and its influences on the *** vesicles(MVs)can be actively secreted into the extracellular environment contributing to bacteria-host ***-negative bacteria-derived outer membrane vesicles(OMVs)were recently shown to activate host Caspase-11-mediated non-canonical inflammasome pathway via deliverance of OMV-bound lipopolysaccharide(LPS),causing host cell ***,little is known about the effect of the MVs from *** 2(Gram-positive bacteria without LPS)on cell ***,we investigated the molecular mechanism by which *** 2 MVs participate in endothelial cell *** this study,we used proteomics,electron scanning microscopy,fluorescence microscope,Western blotting,and bioassays,to investigate the MVs secreted by *** ***,we demonstrated that *** 2 secreted MVs with an average diameter of 72.04 nm,and 200 proteins in MVs were ***,we showed that MVs were transported to cells via mainly dynamin-dependent *** *** 2 MVs activated NLRP3/Caspase-1/GSDMD canonical inflammasome signaling pathway,resulting in cell pyroptosis,but it did not activate the Caspase-4/-5 *** importantly,endothelial cells produce large amounts of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and lost their mitochondrial membrane potential under induction by *** 2 *** results in this study suggest for the first time that MVs from *** 2 were internalized by endothelial cells via mainly dynamin-dependent endocytosis and might promote NLRP3/Caspase-1/GSDMD pathway by mitochondrial damage,which produced mtDNA and ROS under induction,
